CLOSED! One of the best phở spots in garden grove is gone! It was a good run, hopefully it’s just a relocation.

Thought I just missed the rush when I walked in. A lot of empty tables with dirty plates still on them. There was only one other table occupied. Ordered phở with seafood. People were nice that helped me, food was okay at best. Every other place I have had phở was better. They had only one more table of people come in while I was there and yet could only find the time to clean off 2 tables. Still had at least 4 tables with dirty dishes when I left. Will not go back to this location.

This place exists under a different name. Anyway, I was in the area for work and being a phở expert decided to try this place out. I did not order phở. Instead I orderd a fried noodle dish. The waitress came back to tell me that they don’t serve that dish…(why was is on the menu then?). So, I ordered lemon grass chicken. The dish was not good at all. Could not eat it. Also, eggrolls were not good. To top it off, I could hear the workers speaking an asian language(which was not Vietnamese). The dishes are not tasty or authentic. I gave the 2 stars for the friendliness and cleanliness.

This place is now called Phở Season(pretty sure its the same owner… can’t remember that far back). Hands down my favorite broth of any phở place I have ever been to. The owner is the nicest guy and always remembers me and my parents, asking how we are doing every time I come in. Portions are large and cheap, I prefer the BBQ pork or the meatball phở. I also like their pork spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce.

I’m not a phở expert or anything, but this used to be one of my family’s regular Vietnamese restaurants. Even though the last time we went was months ago, when we came here last weekend, the owner still remembers us! The workers are friendly, and the food always hits the spot. I’m sure you’ll find more authentic Vietnamese food in Westminster… I would give it three stars actually because I been trying to avoid rice and noodle dishes, and they only have like two salads. However, the owners are so nice! And the food is consistently good! But alas, I cannot eat here as much as I used to.

Huge portions of noodles, not enough meat. The noodles they put in a large bowl can feed 3 people, the meat can barely feed a 7 year old. Also too much MSG makes the soup and noodle taste sweet. You will be thirsty for a week. If you don’t notice the MSG, then you seriously need to get checked out. MSG is the cause of many future diseases.

The soup here is amazing. I mean, there are a million phở’s out there, but this phở has some really good soup. It actually tastes like something and it’s not tasteless like some other phở’s. I always order the Phở Seafood and Phở with all the meat in it. They also have good bbq and rice which was delicious. Also, every time I’m here, I always order the Spring Rolls they are soooo good! Their steak with rice is good as well. They also serve boba, which come in a variety of flavors. Delish! I’ve probably ordered 50% of what they have and I think everything that I’ve tried so far is pretty good!

Can’t say this is the best place I’ve been to nor the worst, but it’s decent. I havn’t eaten here too much because I’m never craving this place. It’s just an average, mediocre place. Their smoothie/bobas are even meh. The food is decent, but there most likely are better places to eat at which better prices as well. Nice people though.

The broth was delish just on it’s own. First time eating Phở that I didn’t want to add anything to it. Delish and only 6.95 for a large, which was enough to take home and have for lunch the next day.

Garbage. Don’t waste your time. Phở Kimmy or Hong Phat are a million times better. Not even close.

Summary based on 1 lunch: –Had bun, which was barely ok. I couldn’t really tell if the meat was beef or pork! Guess it was beef. Portion size was ok, but no Vietnamese herbs like tia-to. Meat has some kinda weird marinade. –service friendly –parking easy I’m was looking for an alternative to Phở Today on Katella, since I like to have 2nd choices, but this isn’t it.

Changed owners and is now called Phở America. The beef phở was O-KAY.

I come here at least once a week partially because of its relevant location to my office. It takes me approximately 25 seconds in a car to get to Phở America so it’s very convenient. Orders placed for takeout usually are filled promptly. I can usually pick up my meal in about 5 – 10 mins from when I hang up the phone. I’ve tried probably 80−90% of their menu and I have to say pretty much all of the items hit the spot. They even have some vegetarian items for you herbivores. For those in the know, I love menus with pictures. They have them here and it makes me happy. They recently changed ownership/management. There used to be a group of Vietnamese that ran this place but it seems like the new owners are of Korean decent. Just as the previous owners the service here is top notch. The food isn’t blow your mind good but it’s consistent and that deserves 3 stars. The 4th star is from their great service plus I go in there so much I don’t want them to kick my ass.

I come here for lunch sometimes and on occasions where I want some phở when I’m not working. The place is always clean, including the bathroom. They have tables that sit up to four and round tables for parties that are bigger. They also have small tvs mounted on the corners of the restaurants for people who want to watch while they’re eating. I was always greeted when I walk into the place, where I was doing a pick up or eating in. I like their vermicelli dishes. They give you a nice portions for the dish. But sometimes I wish they wouldn’t cut the meat slices all thick. it’s kind of hard to chew the charbroiled meat once its kinda cold from going from the restaurant to my work place. Their spring rolls is always good, with the peanut sauce. Some restaurants don’t have the peanut sauce, they substitute it with some other sauce that doesn’t taste as well, so this place is always good. My local phở when I don’t want to go very far.
