Place hits the spot! All types of creative and great food. And prices are really good, but honestly even if it was pricier id still love it.

I loved this little gem, but I called to see if they were open, and they have been bought out. They are no longer in business… so sad!

The Mushroom burger was delicious. Service was really slow. I was waiting for about half and hour for the burger, but luckily I wasn’t in any rush or I would’ve been out of there at the 15 minute mark. The older man who worked there, probably a father of one of the workers, was sweet and gave us some free green pens that lit up at the top. I definately recommend the food, but service should really be changed in order for their business to grow.

I think this is a mom and pop restaurant. I LOVE mom and pop restaurants! We stopped by randomly one day looking for something fast and easy to eat. I looked up pictures on Unilocal and the spaghetti with egg on top looked delicious! So we went. We got there at 11:00am and they had JUST opened but the waitress greeted us warmly and took our order. The tater tot with spam and cheese was crispy and so good. I love fresh tots. The spaghetti with egg was amazing. Tastes like how I would make it at home. If you’re looking for the average flavorless spaghetti, this is not it. The best thing I can say to describe it is. It’s Asian inspired. Flavorful, salty, cheesy. Yum. Also the egg on top totally makes this dish. The side of garlic bread is really good too! We also got steak quesadillas and that was really flavorful too. Also, I think the pop came out. He wished us a Happy New Year and gave us pen lights. So nice!

I wish I lived closer to this gem. Everything I’ve had so far on the menu has been b-o-m-b…Lemon pepper wings, their spaghetti w/fried egg, and the Vandal burger. Perfect. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Lemon pepper wings seasoned to perfection. I could probably easily do a pound of these. Or more. The spaghetti was better than I’ve had in a while. The husband is pretty particular about his burgers, and he liked this one… which is saying A LOT. Great service by the cute asian chick in the front. Will be back, Ally… See you soon.

Not an ally of mine. Parking: A couple designated parking spots in the lot. Establishment: The service here was terrible when on a vacant Sunday. The waitress/host was busy flirting to ask how we are doing or drop off the check or even pick it up. Probably the worst service I have ever had. *1 star* Food: I had the infamous spaghetti and was prepared for a decent meal but instead had nostalgia come rushing back of Hometown Buffet. So I would venture to guess that they use the same canned spaghetti and just attempted to hide it with an egg. *1 star* Also had the pulled pork burger was a very sad excuse for a burger. Again some kind of canned substance put between two buns it was unappetizing because there was no flavor. *1 star* Overall: From what I read on Unilocal this place has changed owners so I would be wary of ordering what people said was good before. So order at your own risk. This was the only time I voluntary decided this is not worth the calories gained from eating such mediocore food.

When we came in the place was empty which I thought was pretty weird because I thought they were really good. We ordered one of each of the tacos that were available on Tuesday and honestly they were just okay. There wasn’t really much flavor to them. We also had a hot sauce but it was not even spicy. Overall I wouldn’t give this place any more than a three star but if I happen to go again next time and everything is better than I’ll most likely update my review.

The Alley, located at Knott and GG blvd in the city of GG, in a little strip mall next to a tattoo parlor and near the Library which btw books are non existent in. The Alley offers an extensive menu and a huge selection of the best tea ever. My poison is always the blueberry tea, extra blueberry with the AYCD bottomless cup. The service can be hit or miss, usually a miss. Its not the servers fault though, shes usually busily attending to everyone, so its hard for them to be extra accomondating and attentive. Now, I used to go when they were new. Over the past couple of years it has either lost its magnificentness or I have aquired a new pallette for food. I think its a combination of both. I did however meet a hot and tastey type of thing I would never go for before. His name was chicken rice noodles. You all know him by chow fun. But he has to have a date with garlic when I dine with him. Its not on the menu, so just ask for extra garlic. Its pretty good. Its rice noodles, with chunks of chicken and a few veggies. I dig it. The beast usually goes for the spaghetti and fried egg. Hes filipino, so he likes stuff like that. Its served with a side of garlic bread. He likes it, but thinks its not as good as before. The last few times the sauce has been watery. They have other random stuff, burgers, chicken wings, ect. I still like the Alley and if its suggested, I would never say no. Im a fan, but not their #1 fan

Oh my gosh, what happened to this place? I came here on a Sunday evening and it was dead. There was just one other table and us, that’s it. I remember this place used to be the talk of the town and used to be really crowded, but not anymore. After my experience here this time, I know why now. The food was really disappointing! I used to like this place a lot, but I can’t say that I do anymore. I ordered the spaghetti and it was cold, bland, and watery. The price for the spaghetti went up a lot too. I honestly thought the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks tasted a lot better than the sauce in the spaghetti. My boyfriend ordered the Hawaiian burger and the pineapple looked like they literally opened up a can of thick, sliced pineapple and placed it in the burger. I thought the mozzarella sticks/french fries were good, but c’mon, they were probably purchased frozen and just deep fried. Those two can be good anywhere you go. They have two TVs in the restaurant. I came here to watch the Sunday night football game, but the music/singing from the loud bar next door was really bothering me. The customer service was good though.

Strictly a Taco Tuesday Review I came here around 4, and we were the only ones here. Taco Tuesday options included: Filet mignon(steak) — tender, but not that flavorful Chicken — didn’t try Spam — actually really delicious but easily replicable at home Chorizo — strong flavor. Reminded me of a breakfast taco Pulled pork — extremely juicy! Mostly lean meat Bacon — just looked like regular bacon. Nothing special Shrimp — small pieces of crunchy fried shrimp Fish — looked like just grilled fish but pretty good * all were $ 1 each with the exception of steak($ 1.50) Some of the tacos come with cheese, some sour cream, and some with tomatoes and lettuce. Comes with sauces on the side: a green sauce and red sauce I recommend the pulled pork and shrimp. What I really like about this place is that their tacos are only $ 1 which is really good for Taco Tuesday with all these places raising their prices. Tacos are street size but 4 or 5 will fill you up!

Service was extreme slow… There’s only one waitress… and not the super fast one though, no offense, she is very friendly and nice just slow. It was approx 1pm on Wednesday, There were 3 other groups of total 7 people in front of us waiting to order and waiting for their drinks. And one group accidentally split the whole glass of water on the floor. So after all these been taking care of and the waitress came to take our order was already after like 15+ mins!!! I had a punisher burger which has bacon and fried egg. The burger is average. I think I might order the wrong thing I prefer my burger with some veggies but punisher has no veggies. The best thing was the fries, they were super super good. Each fries was fried to perfect degree of crispy but not even one burnt. I could eat all these fries alone. The interior is kind awkward when you first walk in. It’s very dated and plain like college cafeteria even though they try to put some art on the wall. Despite all these, I would come back for their addicting fries.

This place has cool written all over it. Everything from the art, name, and food is cool. I thought it was really clever how there’s a giant sign that says the ally and an arrow under it that points to the ally were you can find more parking spots. The décor is kind of graffiti like and various skull designs. This can be explained by the fact that Eddie the owner also owns the tattoo parlor in the same plaza. The service is super fast and friendly. I love places that gives you the bang for your buck. The food here is cheap and you can order entrees and share. I love that they have deals for different days of the week even saturday and sunday. Tuesday– tacos 1.00 Wednesday– Grilled cheese 5.00 Thursday– burger 7.00 Friday– Flat rice noodle 7.00 Saturday– spaghetti 5.50 Sunday– chicken wings 6.00 The menu is extensive and I feel like I could try something new no matter how many times I come here. They also have a huge selection of flavored ice teas. The food is cool because it’s things you wouldn’t expect for example, the spaghetti. They add eggs and bacon to it. Though not gourmet it is still very good and has an interesting twist. They also have bacon musubi which I haven’t seen anywhere else. I also tried the filet mingon tater tots. My arteries were clogging with every bite I had, but it was well worth it. I was really surprised by how good it was. I didn’t expect it to be that tasty at all. Not gourmet or anything fancy but definitely fun and unique.

Amazing hole in the wall! Located off of goldenwest. Kinda in the middle of no where? LOL but hey, stop by sometimes! Anyways, on to the foooooood! Every thing they serve you is in such big portions! They are not stingy at all! Lol generous chefs back there. I tried almost half the menu and was not disappointed! Tater tots with filet mignon. Gahhhhh! One look and it looked like a heart attack, but I don’t care! Ima die happy and full! It wasn’t greasy like most tater tots? And with cheese and steak on top. What can go wrong! It was taco Tuesday when I came in, had the shrimp taco, it was okay. A dollar taco! Who cares! Yum! I also ordered the spaghetti! Yummmmm! I was craving for spaghetti and this hit the spot. They topped it off with egg, but I don’t think I’ll have it with egg the next time I get it. It was weird. The yolk went on my meat and noodles, so a little soggy. Still good though Service, very attentive. Girls were super friendly and checked on us often! Good job ladies(: Def worth your time! I posted a few pics too! So feel free to drool over my delicious photography!!! :p

Came here on a Tuesday, and they were offering $.99 tacos! We only got one to try one out — the steak — and it was pretty good. The meat reminded me a bit of kalbi — marinated in a sweet sauce — though the tortillas were a bit«tough.» They were out of fish, so we couldn’t try that. We ordered the spaghetti, which everyone talks about. I thought it was average, as did my friend, though she liked it better reheated the next day. I wasn’t a fan and probably wouldn’t order it again. They give good portions. I also tried the Peanut Butter Hamburger, which was surprisingly good. It came with two slices of bacon, cheese, and peanut butter. I think it was about $ 8 to $ 9. More people should add peanut butter to their hamburgers! Overall, I was pleased with the food — it was better than I expected from this little place. The staff are really nice, though food takes a while to come out, even when there are only a few tables full.

The Ally is not for everyone. Kind of an Asian-Fusion warehouse feel to it. Let me start with why I like it: Good food, big portions. I enjoyed the Ally Spaghetti with the egg. Very filling and tasty. My son had the Chicken Quesedilla which is a steal at $ 4. We ordered 2, but ended up taking one home with us. Why your wife may not like it. It does kind of have a warehouse feel and is located next to a very active biker bar. The décor is lacking and the place could use a face lift. Lots of teenagers hanging out having a good time. The Unilocal deal or check-in deal also keeps me coming. I would expect lots of good marks and lots of low marks for this spot, definitely polarizing. Me: Thumbs Up!

Dirty dirty dirty! On a subsequent visit, we brought our son & cleaned the table. The resulting gunk and crap that my wife wipes from the table was gross. Cleanliness should be a restaurants priority. The food might have been good, but I lost my appetite seeing the gunk from wipe after wipe after wipe my wife was using. Total fail. I will not back.

I have been hearing so much about this place from my yfs, and I work down the road in Orange, so I said I have to hit this place. BTW, spend $ 20 and receive $ 5 off when you check in on Unilocal. My friend and I ordered the buffalo wings($ 7.90 for 7), the filet mignon, nacho cheese fries($ 7.00) and the Ally Spaghetti($ 6.50 — Spaghetti w/bacon and a fried egg). The buffalo wings reminded me about an experience I had when I first moved to the mainland. I went to get BBQ in East Oakland, and the server trying to be funny(actually it was pretty funny) said, «What kind of sauce you want on the that hon, sweet and sour?». LOL! We ordered the spicy on the buffalo wings(options are mild, spicy and beast atomic), and the sauce was more«sweet» and unfortunately made our faces«sour». The wings were meaty, but the sauce was a major disappointment: 2 Stars. The filet mignon, nacho cheese fries looked«sick» coming out. However, with the exception of the fries, the other items were just OK. The filet mignon was supposed to be marinated. However, I did not taste much flavor. I prefer the carne asada fries at Albertos in Huntington Beach better(my 24 hour drunktard place). In addition, the nacho cheese sauce didn’t have much kick or flavor. I like the sauce better at Staples or Dodger Stadium. The fries were pretty good and the portion was big for the price though. 5 Stars on the creativeness, but 2 Stars on the execution: 3 Stars overall. When I read about the spaghetti, I was expecting pasta w/a deconstructed carbonara sauce. However, what came out was basically chain restaurant spaghetti with bacon cut up and a fried egg on top. Don’t get me wrong. The spaghetti was a big portion, and by itself it probably would have been OK. Again 5 Stars on the creativeness, but 2 Stars on the execution. 3 Stars overall. Perhaps we should have mixed it all together? The server(Massa?), was super nice as was the other girl working the front. Massa helped us navigate the extensive menu which also includes burgers, sandwiches(panini and banh mi style), rice bowls(including Moco Loco?) and Spam and nacho cheese fries: 4 Stars. The ambiance is kinda hipster(Pink Hello Kitty boxing gloves hanging from above the front area w/4 stools and mock graffiti all around). I thought this place would have been more crowded at lunch. However, we came on a Monday and there were only two other customers when we arrived, and four more came when we left. There were a few take out orders during our meal: 3 Stars. Overall rating, 3 «Minus» Stars. Although the experience was so-so, I would like to come back and try some of their other reasonably priced dishes. However, the place would benefit from a liquor license(many of their dishes are on the salty side and would go well with beer), and hopefully better execution on the other dishes.

Delicious! Pretty much a fusion place filled with all those late munchies craving such as spam fried rice, filet mignon and cheese fries, burgers, wings and etc. The appearance of the restaurant made me have doubts but have no fear! The food makes up for it. *Filet mignon topped with cheddar & fries + BOMB! Meat is marinated well, and fries are fries *Kicker Burger + Just ok. Didn’t wow me but wasn’t too bad either + Definitely generous with the fries that come with it *Filet Mignon Tacos + I love the meat! Bursting with flavor and every bite was delicious Don’t expect this place as a «high quality» restaurant. It’s more a joint with fusion food but honestly, it’s not terrible either. Just mediocre with fair prices and check in for a $ 5 off $ 20!

Went in the other day and decided to try The Ally Spaghetti — it’s «made with [their] signature Marinara sauce, top with one fried egg, and graciously sprinkled with crispy bacon» and it also came with some cheesy garlic bread of the sorts. ! You get sooo much for the price. I could barely finish half before I got full. Slowly, but surely, I’m going to end up trying everything on this menu. #ForeverFat
