Been stuck in the drive thru with no way out for 15 minutes. No line inside. Loco indeed.

I’d give 0 stars if possible. Whenever I come here, there’s always at least one thing missing from my order, and when I come back to get the missing items, the workers never apologize and give and attitude. I have yet to see a good experience with this place.

This place has a lot of cashiers with attitude, I have only met one nice girl. aside from the long waits they don’t talk to u kindly and be careful to ask for sides they look at you like you just made them go to China for it and there have been a few times when they get my order wrong .The food is decent and it’s close to my house so I keep coming back but it’s time those girls get their acts together. Maybe better treatment from the company may help or new hires

Hey look its El Pollo Loco. when you want some chicken in a taco, tostada, burrito, with a heaping helping of all the salsa you can carry in your bare hands you will not be let down. I have yet to actually see the insides of this place, instead i like to slowly creep through the drive thru in the usual 5 O’clock line and peer in at the strange beings filling tiny cups with salsa and enjoying their favorite chicken dish. Honestly this place is right on par with every other El Pollo Loco out there, the only suggestion I would have is that they get a better speaker in the drive thru line. With the noise of traffic going by on Brookhurst its a little hard to hear. I tried turning down my Metallica and no luck, still hard to hear.

This is a pretty good El Pollo Loco. It’s pretty close to the house so we come here for chicken. They haven’t messed up yet so we still keep going back. I wish the prices were a little cheaper so I could buy more chicken. The chicken is good, the spices are delicious. The rice has no after taste and the coleslaw is tasty. This place is very clean and well kept.

Sitting in my car as I write this review. Came in about 8:15 and waited in line for a good ten minutes before I decided to walk out. I get in there and there’s a cashier that did not even acknowledge me. I get that she’s counting her cash drawer but she could have said something, anything to let me know she’ll be right with me. I would have gladly waited seeing that she was legitimately busy. Or so I thought. The problem is she wasn’t even focused on counting her cash. She kept chit chatting with what appeared to be her former coworker. She kept yapping on about how she plans on leaving El Pollo Loco and putting in her two weeks and how she gets 3 hour shifts. Really? Because this is such an appropriate place and time to discuss that. To top it all off, I counted at least 6 workers. SIX. The chef that cooked the chicken finally acknowledged me saying wait a little and even then so I waited some more before I walked out. I’ll just stick to my usual location. EDIT: The general manager reached out to me and apologized on the company/location’s behalf. That was nice of him to do. Just hoping this doesn’t happen to anyone else!

This is the worst location ever, everyone who reviewed was right. Don’t ever come here when they about to closed.

I’m in town visiting. my sister ordered a bunch of the rotisserie chicken for a party. The chicken was tasty. It comes with a bunch of tortillas too, but we didn’t really touch it. It was fast and easy, and I would guess it’s not organic or free range type of chicken, but it was still not bad. I can’t say I’d come here on my own because I typically don’t buy food at the counter like this(and I never go to fast food joints), but if my sister got the chicken again I would eat it, no problem.

1star rating for 1star service! Went in got my order wrong threw extra toppings on my wrong order and tried charging me more for it. Then the unprofessional manager to the rescue Gene shoos me away like a fly and says thanks. I don’t get why people like him are in charge it’s pathetic! Completely bad service.

I love this El Pollo Loco because the employees are so friendly and nice. It can be very busy, but they still get the order right and go out of their way to make sure you get everything you asked for. I frequently take my 98-year-old grandma here for lunch, and they are kind enough to turn down the volume on the over-head music so she can hear our conversation better. Great customer service!

This particular El Pollo Loco has great customer service. My daughter ordered the Chicken Mango Tostada, but when we got the food home there wasn’t any chicken on the tostada. Mistakes happen, and when I called them, the manager was very apologetic. He offered to replace the meal on our next visit and was very kind about it. Some places can be pretty defensive about their mistakes, but not in this case.

I came to this el pollo loco because it was on the way home, I was very disappointed with the over all experience. I went throw drive-thru I was the only car when I drove up to place my order; the server seem like she was having a hard time understanding me, which it could have been from the microphone so I was not upset by that. When I drove to the window to pay they had me wait about 5 – 6 mins before they even came to take my money, by this time I received a call to add something more to the order so I added the extra item which they did not seem to happy about but hay if they were quicker there would not been time for someone to call me and ask we to add food to the order so by the 11mins there was a big line behind me and it wS still taking long, when they finally gave me my food they did not ask me if I wanted salsas or anything and the food was just thrown in the bag. I wasn’t happy with any part of my experience coming to this el pollo.

I have no qualms with this restaurant. It’s clean and updated. Service is okay and fairly fast although one time it took them forever to get our order. Not sure why and they really didn’t do much to remedy the situation until we walked over and asked for our meal. I believe they’re still training new hires so service can be slow.

This location needs to seriously fix their intercom system in the drive-thru. I must of repeated myself 5 different times for the same thing I’m not even exaggerating. The cashier Jocelyn kept saying«huh I’m sorry» several times I got so irritated because she couldn’t hear anything I said I ended up ordering something completely different then what I came for. I normally don’t get an attitude with people making my food with a fear of them spitting in my food but it was seriously that bad. El Pollo Loco replace or repair your intercom system unless your cashier needs a hearing aid… Worst case scenario it would’ve been more appropriate for the cashier to ask me to pull up to the window since clearly she couldn’t hear me…

Honestly the best el pollo loco I’ve ever been to ! You can tell they really take the time to make your meal perfect ! The nice lady at the counter even came over to ask how our food was, and asked if she could clear our plates. We will surely be back again :) thanks for the great service !

I never write bad reviews but holy cow does this place have the worst service ever. I couldn’t even hear the woman as she was taking my order and the person taking my money was rude and acted as though he would rather be elsewhere. Come on people. Seriously?

If You have Asian Pronunciation, never use drive-thru… You will be eaten what they want. not you want. Even cashier will be mocking your Asian Pronunciation. He forced me to his Pronunciation. still. I am confused. what is «Breast» and«Legs»… Because of. cashier. I told him«ordered Legs» several times. He told me «wings», «Breast» «wings… he didn’t any apologize. and change menu. just told. «Wings ?? » «Breast ??» he told me Just«breast and wings». although I told him. «Legs». several times It’s like to teaching me. «Breast», «Wings» I want you to recommend this place as long as you have USA Pronunciation. because taste is better than any El Pollo Loco. But If You don’t have Perfect USA pronunciation, never go to this place. You must be feel sense of shame. because of your pronunciation. I am not sure. but. just. guess… The cashier might be… racist.

Watching the cook at El Pollo Loco blaze a hundred naked chickens to a golden glistening glaze makes me all warm inside. I’m astonished how this simple fast-food chain knows how to make chicken look and taste delicious every time. The best part is admiring the curious spices that are the best-kept secret that’s lavished thorough throughout, and then ripping off the tender moist skin off each of the 8 pieces before the others come in to grab their share. Chicken amazingly tastes similar to chicken. Who knew?

The exterior could use a make-over. Good customer service. I had a coupon for a $ 5 meal, soft bread-like chicken tacos/wraps. Not a fan of beans, didn’t realize it was included until I took a bite. Had to scrape out a medium size amount. At first glance, the two tacos look really good! All fresh ingredients, been awhile since I ate at a El Pollo Loco. I would return to another El Pollo Loco, or this one if I’m near, but only if I have a coupon. You can look to spend $ 5 – 8, free refills.
