So I just showed up to slide bar and this guy took my joint out of my pocket. I am a legal medical marijuana patient. I went to back alley where I know the manager and asked if he could take the j legally. He said they can’t even take a fake ID. Funny part of it all Is I came back 20 mins later and he was smoking it in front of the building. Good job slide. Many years at this bar and now stealing J’s? Buuuuust.

Great place, fun music, good food. Nice portion size, good prices, fun place to eat inside or outside and enjoy the entertainment.

Oh my Buddha ! They have watered down beer here, BEWARE. I bought large Stella’s and my friend and I who are light weights did not get buzzed. There was a rumor that a spot around town watered down their beers and got caught. We had a mystery at our hands until tonight. Golly gee.

RUDE!!! I lived just a few blocks from this place. Went there with my wife, and after waiting forever, I got a table. A waitress came up to me and asked me to stand up so she could «clean the table». I thought this was odd, but I politely stood up so she could wipe up. THe instant I was out of the seat, she rushed a group of her friends to my seat and the rest of the table. I looked up at the manager, who simply shrugged. Apparently they were regulars, and he just could not give a Sh! t.
I would rather eat out of a dumpster than give these jerks a dime.

!Consumer beware! Boycott these sexist pigs! Not safe for girls night out. Guards don’t protect the customers. Some one please get the firemarshal down here, they go over compacity. Poorly managed door. They don’t meet OSHA stardards for fire exits not being blocked or fire restrooms vs number of patrons and staff, the floors are sticky and constantly have spills. No room for dancing. Go elsewhere for dancing. I had an aweful experience at the Slide Bar. Theres a 5 dollar charge if you wait in the super slow line. If you don’t want to wait in line then b you pay ten bucks. Not worth it. Obnoxiously loud music. Bad sounds system. My friends Asked me to come out and didn’t tell me about the line. The security is super rude and prey on young women. I Whitnessed Javier the door Guard, who admitted to giving me a fake name, get a very drunk girls number and invite her to his place. GROSS #DATERAPE. To get in faster I had to pay 10 $. Saw the guard pocket the money. Then they patted me down twice. It was awkward. They still missed my knife and gloves. FML aweful security. They are not customer service oriented. They are thieves and incompetent. I called Javier out on his sticky fingers. He was all up on. this one girl, letting her rub on him at the front door, what a gross and unprofessional jerk. I took a pic of Javier. I told him I would review the place and he said «I don’t give a FBomb!» Is it usual for your guests to be this rude? From what I’ve read, it is the norm. I don’t think the owner cares. I started the night out trying to enjoy myself. I wanted to give this place a good review. You can’t change bad customer service if you keep these predators and thieves on staff. They let do many people in that we were absolutely past the spaces limit. The bathrooms here are gross and never get cleaned when they are that busy. My gf was literally in the restroom line for half an hour. No room to dance. Music was obnoxious and overtly loud. Lots of perverts here. You can’t get back in once you leave, even to walk your gf to the car. That’s when I saw Javier pervin on that girl. It closes at 130 and they are very rude about kicking people out. The mixed drinks are watered down, over iced, bottom shelf plastic jug junk that they put into nicer bottles. The bartenders are not observant or customer friendly. Never coming back here. And guess what I use Unilocal a lot. Enjoy seeing this on your front page for months. And I’ll make sure to update it in the future.

This is the place that I often come to have fun with my friends.

Poorly trained staff with rude attitude. Made my friend stand in the cold for 45 minutes because they were not trained to identify a NY ID card and called the police to verify it for them.
Avoid this slum at all times

Have been here many times during my years in college (hehe).
But this review is specifically for the Sunday brunch me and my girlfriend had tried here. It was awesome! It’s All You Can Eat, which is my favorite scenario LOL. The staff was very nice and attentive. The food ranged from breakfast foods to steaks and even had nachos with this excellent guacamole dip available.
To top it all off… Bottomless Mimosa’s. Get on it. Because afterwards you can walk around Downtown Fullerton during the day! Which I must say is much different than what it is at night.
Recommend to this brunch to anybody cool.

Worst service. We had out of state ID’s and the security didn’t let us in. Clearly were over 21. Didn’t let us in.

The 2 star seems about right for this place. My friend Josh and I use to make a habit of hitting up slide bar everytime we are in town. The first time I experianced it was back in 2010 and was probably the most amazing thing ever. The service was great, music, beer, and food. But my last recent visit was a year ago 2015 and I can’t believe how much it has changed.
The food was definielty not what it use to be and the crowd has seem to died down over the past few years. Its just not the same as it use to be and the prices has gone up on the food prices as well.
Next time, I’m in orange County. Count me out slide bar I won’t be returning anytime soon.
Bring back the old SLIDE BAR!

Today security stole my ID and made me call the cops to get it back.
Hands down the worst place to see a show. I am 35 years old and they have denied me entrance on several occasions because my ID was from out of state.
Because of the owners connections they get amazing bands. Everyone in scene tries to go to other shows and avoid this place even though it’s free because the staff is so horrible. Often times they get good bands and it’s the only so cal show.
I recommend bringing your passport if you’re coming to a show and don’t spend a cent.

This place sucks ass. The bouncers at the door don’t know how to verify IDs and don’t know what a valid ID looks like. They have taken my friend’s valid Arizona license/​ID on two occasions and essentially stole it. This time they had appeared to have damaged his ID and told us to call the police. We did call the police and told them that the security guard had defaced his ID and essentially stole it. We were stuck until some manager came and apologized then let us in.
The management said they are just doing their job. BULLSHIT, they are idiots. If they were doing their job they wouldn’t have damaged (or pretended to damage) my friends ID and wouldn’t have made us waste our time.

Okay thier security is rude.
I was pulled aside bc i didnt look like my id… i dont think i need to explain to anyone my life story and how i may have gained a few pounds after having my son.
Anyways the asian tall security is a jerk you get a bad experience before you even get to step foot inside.
Once inside the bar is packed and you can just feel yourself sweat.
I ordered a stella $ 14 for a 32oz cup
And a tall can modelo but i dont recall the price.
This place is just a sweaty mess…
I def wont come here again.

Seems like this place is a hit or miss for people. I’ve been here a handful of times on Saturday nights and never had an issue with the bartenders or security. Yes, it can get a little crowded but that’s what happens when a bar is «Lit» pun intended.
Also recently came here for Sunday Brunch with endless mimosas and everything was great from the food, drinks, and service.

I have been reading the negative reviews of this place and fell I must comment on MY experiences at the Slidebar. My family and I have always had a great time here. We have never been «harassed» by the security staff and the servers have always been polite and cheery. I am a firm believer in «you get what you give».
The Slidebar has a full bar with quite a few beers on tap so I’m sure you will find a favorite. I call the food, «above bar food» since it is so good! The outdoor patio is the perfect place to hang out and watch a good show.
My advice to people who want to come and watch a FREE show. Support the band and the venue by reserving a table, get there a little early, have a drink and some good food and enjoy yourself!

Giving an updated review to take away a star from the previous two star review that I gave.
In my last review I made a comment about the mishandling of some Avenged Sevenfold tickets to give reference to the unprofessionalism of the staff at this establishment and to further explain how the professionalism of the staff has not improved since then. This comment was received by a negative statement by the owner which, in my opinion, was uncalled for. He claimed that I gave two stars because I did not receive free tickets, but obviously if that was the only reason I was giving the establishment two stars then I would have written the negative review two years ago when the incident took place.
On the contrary I gave this establishment another chance and I wrote my review based mostly on my most recent visit; my review made an aside about tickets and focused on the rude waitress, the overall experience I recently had, and what you can expect from the establishment in general.
I have to lower my rating because the owner decided to focus on one sentence out of my whole review and make a rude and sarcastic comment about that one component instead of reading the whole review to see how his establishment can improve. Apparently it’s easier to attack someone who gave an honest review of his establishment based on one of the first few sentences which he did not agree with instead of reading the whole thing, discovering that the ticket comment was an aside, seeing that other reviews are also on the low side, and realizing that improvements need to be made overall.
Based on the other reviews that I’ve read it seems as though the low ratings are well deserved because the problems start from the very top and trickle down.

Today at 4:30pm, my girlfriend and I decided to dine at the Slidebar for the first time assuming we would be in store for good food and great customer service. Little did I know, the chef was a 5 year old child who simply couldn’t make grilled cheese. My girlfriend may have been satisfied with her California burrito, but there is no way «satisfaction» came from the plate that I ordered. I got the GROWN UP GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH, which should have actually been called the 4 BRICKS OF CHEESE in bread sandwich. Biting into it was like trying to eat fruit cake. This is by far the biggest disappointment of a grilled cheese sandwich I have ever encountered in my life. I hope the people who read this decide to never order the quote on quote grown up grilled cheese sandwich.
To top it off, the waitress that we had didn’t bother to ask how our food was, realizing that I hardly touched my food. Round of applause to whoever that girl was!

I’ve only ever came here for drinks as it is one of the many bars I hop to when visiting Downtown Fullerton for the sole purpose of drinking.
Service is usually good behind the bar and the music is great. The liveliness of the bar varies as some nights the crowd is big and others are small.
During my recent visit, my group ordered a chicken nacho platter which was pretty decent. I love chicken that has a good charbroiled flavor and the chicken on the nachos provided just that.
If you haven’t checked out Slide Bar then I’d say check it out. For myself, it’s always a cool time no matter the crowd.

Decent bar to stop by when you’re bar hopping around DTF. It seems like everyone likes to hang out at the bar/​open area outside! I wasn’t really feeling the crowd, so we didn’t stay long.
The security guys in the front are nice and friendly to chat with.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve always had a great time! They have live bands in the back, and a DJ near the front. The people that come here can be ratch but it’s Fullerton so what do you expect?
What I like about Slide Bar is that they have a huge outdoor area! So it’s cool to just kick it with a nice breeze coming. I hate when places get stuffy ESP when you are dancing and.
The drinks are pretty good and there food is legit. I love that they serve food until closing, most places don’t have that. Last time I was here we got the tater tots loaded with carne asade, cheese, sauce and other good thangs! I was kinda tipsy so my friends and I definitely devoured the plate!
Also, all types of people come so it’s super diverse! It gets pretty packed around 11 so I’d get here early because if not, you’ll have to wait in a huge line! There’s a parking structure right by the bar or in front, but it’s DTF so it doesn’t really matter where you park since you’ll probably be bar hopping anyways. Now, go get yo dance on!
