What a great night! I came here a few days ago and had the best time! I enjoyed everything from the food to the drinks to the service. We were greeted by Joey who made our yummy drinks. He was awesome!!! Everything made me feel like I was in the real French Quarter. Thank you! Will be back!

Went to this bar a day before New Year’s Eve. I was already pretty drunk when we got there, but drank one Vegas shot, and two lemon shots while I was there. Both were really good, and the prices were expected. The people/vibe that night were pretty chill, everyone was there to have a good time, I didn’t meet anyone to douchy. The bartenders weren’t the nicest people but again, I’d expect that from sober people working and serving annoying, loud, drunks. So there’s nothing to complain about. I think it’s funny how everyone is compiling about the bouncers because that night I kept giving my ID to strangers standing by the door because there was no bouncer. Ahahahah. Also! The music was pretty good, I couldn’t help but dance and sing the night away. Overall, good music, good drinks, good people, good service.

Excellent whiskey selection, with an entire shelf dedicated to bourbon and rye. Fried mozzarella dish is made in house and is delicious

I am not usually a 5 star review type of person, but this place totally deserves it. Nick had my back when we wanted the bacon mac&cheese appetizer but i was nervous about the spicy pepper jack. I have a very sensitive tongue. He said«no problem, we’ll make it with other cheeses». It was awesome. Followed up with the chicken and waffles. Words can’t describe the heaven of flavors –savory, sweet, salty, crunchy heaven. Amazing!

I’d go back for the Jell-O shot. The syringe was fun and you can never go wrong with a Jell-O shot.

This place doesn’t know how to treat people right. A low-life, racist bouncer named Nick took my friends license and wouldn’t give it back. He claimed it was fake and demanded that we get his passport to get it back. The passport was at his house 45 minutes away, so we had to drive all the back to get and bring it back. The license obviously wasn’t fake. If it was, we would’ve let it go and left since he got«caught.» @Bourbon: your bouncers are fuckin’ jokes. Hire people who don’t ruin people’s days for no reason. Never going back to this place again. Again, the bouncers name was Nick– big boy with glasses and a goatie. This guy’s an asshole to say the least.

The music is probably the best part about this place. Gets so hot and crowded that you feel everyone’s sweat while they pass by. The drinks are WAY overpriced for the small cups they serve you in. I usually get the same drink, double the size, for half the price down the street. Never really liked the bartenders here, they’re kind of over everybody but it is a job that you have to deal with people sooo. Like I said, pretty good playlist.

Looked promising so I went in only to get poured the worst 805“my shit” half head I asked for them to fix it and she just took it and pulled the handle came back same thing. Drank the worst 805 so far so I walked down the street to the next establishment for a great poured and refreshing 805. If you can’t pour a simple brew you can’t bartend.

After multiple drinks at Hopscotch and Sliderbar, we stopped by Bourbon Street Bar & Grill for some dancing to end the night. No cover. Nice! Chill vibe. Cool! Small dance floor. Meh! Not a bad place if you want to dance, but once the dance floor starts filling up, claustrophobia starts to kick in. (Apologies for the lack of details… I’m already surprised I remember the end of the night. ;) Hah.)

Went here to start our fun night out in dtf for my cousins birthday last night. We were greeted by a rude bouncer at the door, I didn’t have my id but I did have my passport card on me. So showed him the passport card and he then proceeded to stare at it for a while and I said«it’s my passport card» he then replies«I’m not stupid I know what it is! «very rudely then he asks me where my id is? I replied that I lost it and that I just used my passport card to get into Hero’s bar and grill down the street, He just rolls his eyes and says to leave! I mean if this was the first person you encounter at a business what do you think the service is like inside?! So myself and our group of four decided to give slide bar our business and we were treated like like people there, we also went to zings, back alley and Florentines with out an issue! I have never been treated so poorly, it’s one thing to be rude to someone who is drunk or someone who is giving attitude back, but another thing to take advantage of his power and just being rude and unprofessional for no reason. There is a similar review of a US veteran not being allowed in with their military card either, i’m sure it was the same bouncer.

I am only leaving one star because I have to leave something to leave a rating. I have served in the U.S. Army for 6+years now. Last night I went out with a couple high school buddies of mine and we attempted to stop by this establishment. The bouncer refused my entrench bc I gave him my military i.d. He discredited my fediral issued identification card and stated that I need a state issued i.d. to back it. This pos. Proceeded to take his job and authority as far as he could and wouldn’t let me in. This place is obviously NOTMILITARYFRIENDLY! I recommend back ally or slide bar. They appreciate military service.

I had never heard of this place but decided to try it after receiving a coupon in the mail. Free appetizer… from the six dollar menu. Okay, let’s try it. I called in my order and the guy I spoke to was a bit iffy regarding the menu that I had just looked up online. But I told him I had a coupon, he took my order, and told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. So, I show up 20 minutes later and walk into what is really a bar that happens to serve food and the bartender asks what he can do for me. I say I am picking up an order for Matthew and he asks for my coupon. I then get a mini lecture on how the coupon is really for dine in only(which isn’t printed on the coupon and wasn’t brought up on the phone) and he acts like he is doing me some big favor by accepting it. Okay, just give me my food, dude. I see it sitting there but for some reason it is taking several minutes to bring me my check so I can pay and get the heck out of there. Bartender guy comes back to me and says he can’t get the coupon to work… only a discount of three bucks is being applied to the order. He asks for help. My food is still sitting there on the counter. I finally say I don’t care about the three bucks and he should just give me my food and check and herepleasetakemycreditcard. And I get to leave. Not satisfied. But I get to leave. The food is good. Flavorful and a decent portion of each item we ordered… but as I eat I think that I won’t be going back to Bourbon Street anytime soon. I just didn’t feel like they cared about me or my experience.

Walked into Bourbon Street right around last call and they still let us in, unlike all the surrounding bars. Add a star for that. Walked inside and headed towards the bar. There’s a lot of people dancing towards the back left corner. There’s an outdoor patio area where everyone’s smoking. Not the biggest bar in DTF, but I can dig it. Bartender was friendly and helpful. Let us sample their house beer before I decided to order my drink. Let us order our drinks despite it being so close to last call. Needless to say, security started ushering people out at ~1:40. That was annoying. In general, bars in LA closing at 2:00 but start telling everyone to get out at 1:30 is my number one annoyance, but to each their own.

I like this tiny place for lunch or dinner. The staff is real friendly. Lots of TVS if you want to watch the game. The menu is New Orleans style primarily, comfort food galore. Nice afternoon, early dinner hangout.

New Orleans Style Hurricane is made with Captain Morgan White Rum, Zacapa Anejo Rum, orange juice, cranberry juice, and grenadine. Impressively similar to the Pat O’Brien’s Original Hurricane, it tastes like a spiked tropical fruit punch. Rating: 4.5÷5 Louisiana Rainstorm is made with Belvedere Vodka, coconut rum, Midori, Blue Curaçao, pineapple juice, and a splash of sweet and sour. The drink has a bright green hue, almost neon like. The alcohol kicks in like a true Louisiana rainstorm and with more than one, you could experience a thunderstorm. Rating: 4.5÷5 Cali-Cajun Dorn Dog is a mini spicy sausage link fried in a sweet corn batter. It is a little on the bland side. Stone ground mustard helped to flavor it. A tomato-based sauce with a horseradish kick may be better. The sausage also needs a better distribution of spices as some bites were really spicy and others are not. Rating: 3.5÷5 Superdome Chili is made with black beans, kidney beans, ground beef, pork, bell peppers, and topped with cheddar cheese, sour cream, and diced onions. The combination of black and kidney beans provides a pleasing texture. This is a meaty chili, but could use a thicker consistency. More salt, garlic, and chili powder would help in the flavor department. Rating: 3⁄5 Chartre Street Bruschetta Pizza is topped with Roma tomatoes, garlic, basil, and Monterey Jack, cheddar cheeses, and bleu cheeses. It needs a sauce layer of olive oil or balsamic vinegar drizzle. The bleu cheese overpowers the rest of the cheeses. Feta might be a better option or just stick with the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. The tomatoes are overwhelming, less would be better. Roasted garlic would be a great topping to add to boost the flavor of the bruschetta. Rating: 2⁄5 Cajun Dog is an Andouille sausage on a roll smothered in chicken gumbo and served with dirty rice. The Andouille sausage has a good flavor but the gumbo overpowers the sausage. Instead of dirty rice, fried okra would be a better side choice with a crispy texture to contrast. Rating: 4⁄5 Smoked Brisket is served with Bacon Potato Salad and Ginger Slaw. The beef is tender but tastes braised not smoky. The brisket needs some more salt and pepper in the rub. BBQ sauce is pretty good, not to bold and not too sweet. Ginger slaw has a good base flavor but needs a punch in flavor with vinegar, salt, or even julienne apples to refresh the palate. Bacon Potato Salad is roasted red skin potatoes, smashed and blended in a savory, spicy mix. The potatoes are chunky in a creamy base with a mustard tang. Bacon adds a smoky, salty flavor. Rating: 3.1÷5 Cheesy Pretzel Bites are pretzel crusted cheese curds served with spicy ranch. The bites are crispy with slight pretzel flavor. The cheese is gooey. Spicy ranch is a good dip, but they are fine on their own. Rating: 4.5÷5 Beignets are traditional deep-fried New Orleans-style dessert dusted with powdered sugar. The beignets are heavy and a bit chewy. The caramel sauce is creamy, almost pudding like, and added a butterscotch caramel flavor to the beignets. The raspberry sauce added a tangy flavor. The presentation is good and open for sharing. Rating 3.3÷5
