I’ve used them for a few offices meetings and I’m always impressed with the quality of the food and presentation. Also, their delivery team is always friendly and professional. They are just a little more expensive than other caterers I’ve used, but I like going to them if I want a really nice lunch for special clients and meeting. I would highly recommend them.

Can’t say enough good things about Sara, Tyler and the staff at Colette’s Catering! They were so helpful, polite, professional and accommodating both in the planning and executing of our event. The food was very nicely cooked and presented beautiful, not your usual plastic bowels or baskets of bread. They pay attention to detail and it shows! Food was delicious, desserts were outstanding (people were taking them as they headed home for the night, they were so good). All the staff was so helpful and jumping in wherever they good during set-​up, the event and clean-​up. I have been in the event industry for several years and would rate this staff in my Top 3 I have ever worked with. Super Impressed and look forward to using them in the future.

I will use them for every event I can. They catered my wedding and I knew from the moment we stepped foot inside their office to taste, we made the right choice. Delicious & beyond professional service!

The food was pretty decent, could work on their potatoes. They were slightly soggy and raw, but everything else was good. Wood recommend for a small formal meeting or party.

Thursday morning, I got an email from our wedding venue, a private residential rental estate, stating they got shut down by their HOA due to mismanagement. After six months of planning, we lost our wedding venue. The next 48 hours were filled with tears, frustration, and frantic phone calls and emails. Most locations were booked; the ones where we could use all our current vendors were booked and the ones that were available required us to start from scratch. Saturday morning we left early to visit five different venues and by 2:00pm we finally found our godsend — And we have only Colette to thank.
Colette was referred to me by a coworker and I spoke to her several times, emailed back and forth with her, and she even met us at a park in Fullerton at 9am on Saturday. I would never have thought to try Colette, as I thought her prices were beyond our means, but she showed us how she could help make it work and opened up doors to venues that we didn’t even know were an option. In the end, she referred us to Wilcox Manor and it was a match made in heaven. See, we already had a caterer contract in place, but Colette didn’t mind — She just wanted to see us happy.
5 stars isn’t enough of a compliment to her and her customer service. She was on point, caring, creative, and ever so helpful. While we’re going to keep our current vendor (we don’t want to have to start everything from scratch and lose our deposit), I can rest easy knowing that Colette is out there for if and when we need her.
I can tell you this: Colette will not let you down.

Colette’s Catering did an amazing job catering our Corp lunch. I am not easy to please & I was pleasantly surprised! The food arrived on time as promised. The presentation was beautiful and the food tasted even better. I will use Colette’s again in the very near future. I can’t wait for our next event!

My wedding was perfect and amazing because of the help of Sara Parrell and all the event staff with Colette’s Catering. We got married at the Muckenthaler Mansion and Sara was there to run the whole event. She was kind, generous, gentle and fun… We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect coordinator. The staff, including Sara’s assistants, were amazingly professional and very organized. The food was prepared to perfection, and I would go so far as to say that our guests dishes were the best they had at any wedding ;). I’ve gotten SO MANY compliments since then.
Sara filled in all the gaps on the day of and made sure that everything was covered. My family, and even some of my guests, got the opportunity to talk to her, and they all loved her. I would recommend working with Sara Parrell and Colette’s Catering to anyone searching for a catering company. Additionally, I would also HIGHLY recommend the Muckenthaler Mansion as a venue for your wedding… It is the most PERFECT place to get married.
It was an incredible day.

We use Colette’s on a regular basis for executive meetings. The service and food is first class. The staff is very professional and attentive every time they are here. Even when we’ve needed to put something together at the last minute, Colette’s always comes through. It’s so nice to know there is a catering company who is dependable and cares about customer service.

I recently had my wedding at the Muck in March and Collette’s was the exclusive caterer. I worked with Duane and Sara who were so friendly and attentive. We also hired Sara to be the day-​of coordinator and she made sure that everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend that you have someone from Collette’s coordinate your wedding if you are having it at the Muck as they have years of experience working there.
I do have to say that the food on the day of the wedding wasn’t as good as it was the day of our tasting, but we did opt for the off-​season buffet menu with just the option of chicken. I’m sure that if you choose their normal catering menu, the food quality would be better. The cake however was amazing! Many of our guests commented on how moist and tasty it was.
I would still give Collette’s 5 stars because our wedding was absolutely beautiful and the Collette’s team made sure that it was. They are very professional and friendly and will make your event truly memorable.

Duane and Sara are just great! My husband and I got married on 3.8.15 at the muck, And Colette’s was just great. They were very helpful through the process, making my husband and I feel special for our big day. They were also very patient with us as we asked many questions. Sara was great as our day of coordinator, she was keeping us on schedule, made sure everything was running smoothly with the vendors, and most importantly made sure we ate. The food was also fantastic. We were told by nearly everyone how it was such a great wedding, the best they’ve been to, and the drinks and food were amazing, «not typical wedding food.» Duane and Sara are just great, and made our vision come to life. Highly recommend!

Our daughter got married at the Muckenthaler a few months ago & Colette’s was the caterer. Duane & his staff did an amazing job. Sarah the wedding coordinator was on top of everything. The weather forecast was calling for a very warm day. They suggested umbrellas on the lawn. I was reluctant at first but finally agreed. Boy was I glad! The shade provided relief from the sun & created a beautiful ambience for the day. They know their stuff!
Everybody raved about the food & how delicious & fresh all the courses were. The service was incredible. Colette & Duane have put together a fantastic team. I would definitely recommend them for any event!

Our church rents from Colettes and it has excellent staff that love their jobs. The owner always shows up to big events to make sure everything is just perfect.
At a separate event at CSUF they made excellent sandwich boxes as well!
They also make their own crafted decorations that add character to the room we rent from.

Had a wonderful wedding recently with Doreen and her staff from Colette’s providing the utmost in catering! The staff was friendly, professional and delightful. The food and appetizers were delicious — everybody loved the food. Excellent!!! Highly recommended.

We got married at Muckenthaler this past weekend and I can’t wait to write them a review! We’ve been working with Duane for about a year long and he’s been absolutely wonderful to work with since the beginning. I don’t really understand some of the negative reviews here because my experience has been nothing but great. They were professional and personable and they executed the day just perfectly.
Duane answered all my questions and concerns in a timely manner ALL year long and helped us out on so many levels, he’s seriously the kind of person you want to have as your venue/​catering manager. There were some things at my wedding that was a little hard to execute, but Duane made it happen without any problems. All my guests were commenting on how beautiful the venue was and I couldn’t be happier that I went with Colette’s/Muckenthaler.

I love Doreen! She made everything so effortless for my husband and I. Let me start with the tasting experience. The food was soooo delicious! One of the owners came in to chat with us during the tasting. Doreen checked on us throughout the months. A week before the wedding we met with the banquet captain that was going to be over our wedding on March 22, 2014. The entire team was WONDERFUL; very personable and helpful.
My guests gave me great feedback on the food and that made us really happy because as we all know, the food is the most important part of the wedding. I will say that I thought that my wedding was too small (69 people at a private home) for Colette’s, but it wasn’t. They make you feel special regardless of how big or small your event is. I will DEFINITELY use them again. Thanks for everything Doreen!

My husband and I were married at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA. We absolutely fell in love with the place from the moment we stepped on the property. When we decided we wanted to get married there, we were referred to Duane at Colette’s Catering. One of the things I loved most about Duane was that he was willing to work with any budget and still make the wedding absolutely beautiful. He is very easy going and extremely helpful.
The food at our tasting was so amazing I wanted to come back for seconds. The best part was the food at our tasting was the same quality food we had at our wedding. It was delicious!
We opted for a wedding coordinator for our rehearsal and day of wedding. Definitely worth it. Sara was very helpful and polite to my family and all of our guests. I didn’t have an opportunity to talk to the wait staff, but I had wonderful compliments from my friends and family.
Basically, I wouldn’t change a thing about the Muckenthaler or Colette’s Catering. I was told several times by many guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and that the venue was simply gorgeous.
Everyone should get married here!

Where do I start… We got married at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton and Colette’s is the exclusive catering company they use. Duane is the person we dealt with for all our wedding planning at the Muck. He is so friendly and just a lovable guy. He was there with quick responses anytime we had questions/​concerns and gladly allowed us to visit when we felt we needed to see the venue again… we booked it over a year ahead of our wedding and with so much planning its easy to forget details about the location.
I also chose to have a wedding day coordinator for an additional cost — so worth it! They take the stress off of you and make sure everything is going as it should. Sara was our coordinator day of and she was wonderful. She checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. And was even there the day before to help us run through our rehearsal. They even set up our centerpieces for us — we did floating candles in vases which needed some assembly.
Okay… now to the food. WOW!!! My husband and I had a tasting months before to set the menu for our dinner. We chose to do a seated/​served dinner and not the buffet. We were given several different options for the dinner and decided on two — the citrus chicken and the tri tip. We loved both and Duane gave us the great idea of serving a 2 entrée dinner to everyone. This way instead of the hassle of trying to find out who wanted chicken or steak everyone gets both!!! So easy and it looked fancy! We also did a Cesar salad prior to the main dish. We have received so many compliments on the food at our wedding. Everyone just LOVED it! It was the best «wedding» food I have ever had, it is more like great restaurant quality.
For our wedding cake we chose a white cake with strawberry and Bavarian cream filling. It wad delicious. My aunt who hardly eats sweats said she had 2 slices that night! It wasn’t heavy at all — the perfect dessert to end the dinner. Not to mention the cake looked stunning, better than the picture I sent. I was very happy with how it looked.
Overall I am beyond happy with them and they really made my wedding planning so much easier and stress free!

This caterer was recommend by wedding coordinator. We’re sure glad we did!
They offer tastings twice a month, but if you’re pressed for time or whatever, I’m sure they’ll make an exception. We went on a Wednesday night and I was allowed to bring my parents along. It was a nice intimate tasting. Love that.
They are located in a very industrial area, but had no problem finding the place. Leala was my contact that we met and was with us during our tasting. I didn’t get to pick any of the items we got to taste, since I wasn’t asked. But she did let me know ahead of time it would be based on the Classic menu.
And now… on to the food!
Appetizers:
Mini Empanadas — Beef with a roasted red pepper sauce. GOOD. That sauce could just go on anything.
Chicken Quesadilla Cornucopias — I liked it but my fiancé didn’t. Great with the sauce too!
Mini Maryland Crab Cake — LOVED it.
Wasabi Mashed Potato Spoon with Pork Belly — NOMS. I could eat this for my main entrée.
Shrimp & Avocado Ceviche shooter — cute, but only so-​so to me.
Spanakopita — Meh.
Salads:
Spring Salad — Good stuff. Love feta.
BBQ salad? — I really like this one too surprisingly. It was still very light and tasty.
Mains:
I have to come back to the names… but it was all really good! Two kinds or chicken, and two kinds of beef. Everything was cooked perfectly.
Sides:
Provolone Potatoes — Good, but a little salty to me. Disclaimer: it was probably the cheese.
Grilled Veggies — Good.
Wild Rice Pilaf — Good stuff. The fiancé loved it!
Green beans — I preferred the grilled veggies.
Desserts:
It was like ⁶⁄₇ different kinds of cake. I really liked the strawberry white chocolate one. Yummmm
Overall the food is really good. They are comparable to the other catering companies in the area because they also include the wait staff, linens, china, and flatware. However, it is recommended that you to rent outside on your own because it would be cheaper instead of going through them. Maybe their exclusive properties are different. Note: my venue has no rentals available to me.
Also just FYI to the brides trying to earn cash back or miles on their credit cards, there is a 3% service charge for using a credit card.

We decided to use The Muck as our wedding venue and Colette’s is the caterer. I couldn’t believe how amazing their food was!
My wedding was back in Sep of 2011 and I couldn’t have been happier with these guys. Our cake: amazingly good. It was done exactly the way we wanted. It also had strawberry and raspberry filling inside which was so good. Everyone at the wedding loved it and wanted to order it for their birthdays! The appetizers were unique and lovely. We had bacon wrapped asparagus, grilled cheese sliders with a shot of tomato soup (so good) and teriyaki steak kabobs. Everyone loved them as well. For the dinner portion, we had a buffet set up and couldn’t have asked for anything better. We had chicken and steak as the entrees. For the sides, we had provolone potatoes. Seriously, the best potatoes I’ve ever had. I wish I could have them again all the time they were that good. There was also vegetables, salad and dinner rolls.
Not one person complained about our food for the wedding and we asked everyone for their honest opinion (we know how it is at a wedding… so/​so food. we all know it!). Everyone that works there is really nice and do their job right. Always easy to get a hold off, tasting went perfectly with good amount of food and cake tasting was super fun!
Maybe one day I’ll call them up for a baby shower cake? Or I get invited to another wedding at The Muck. I agree with someone else that said they should open up their own restaurant!
