I’ve always loved Dollar Tree. Have been a faithful customer for years. That all might change after tonight. Went in during my only day off, enjoying an evening out with my husband and 2 year old son. Came in to purchase some beverages and decided to get my son a few toys because he saw some that interested and excited him. While trying out a hand clapping toy, a very rude associate named CHRYSTINE yelled something at us. I asked her to repeat what she said since we didn’t understand what she had yelled. She told us not to playwith the toys. I asked why because that’s how we determine what toys my son wants so we can purchase them. She got very irate, seemed like she was under the influence of meth(it’s common in this city so I can tell) and said she’ll just tell the manager. I told her we’ll tell the mangager ourselves because she’s a rude associate. I decided against spending my hard earned money there after her rudeness. She ruined the night for my family and I, on my one and only day off. The day was perfect until I walked into that particular store. While talking with the manager she interrupted the conversation and got even more belligerent. Very unprofessional, horrible customer service. I’m an assistant manager in retail, and that is not how you conduct business with patrons. Had one of my employees treated a customer so disrespectfully, I would have sent them home immediately and never put them back on the schedule. It’s unacceptable and it makes that particular store look very bad. I’m taking my complaint all the way to corporate. My son should have never had to witness the incident, and my family shouldn’t have had our peaceful night completely ruined by one associate. When you enter a store, you should leave happy and pleased with your purchase, service and the atmosphere. On the contrary, I was so displeased, I changed my mind and didn’t make a purchase. Get rid of Chrystine or your business will suffer. Customers can choose to shop anywhere. I chose this Dollar Tree, but unless she is removed, I may never again. And I WILL spread the word. That’s why social networking is valuable. Would you recommend DOLLARTREESTORE #1964 to others? No Read more:

I’ll usually stop here to buy some candy before catching a movie at Manchester since they’re close buy and have a pretty good selection of candy. This time I went to grab some trash bags. The first thing I noticed was the stench. It smelled like a soiled diaper and was present throughout the store. Things seemed like they’d been moved around and I couldn’t find the bags. I asked an employee who was stocking items, but instead of taking me to the item she just told me which aisle and returned to her task. Having worked in retail for Target, Long’s Drugs(now CVS) and Dollar Tree I know they would have preferred she take me to the item and asked if I needed anything else. An ‘ok’ experience but it could use some improvement.
