This review is specifically about the portrait studio. I was actually just walking through one day with the baby and was approached; apparently there was a cancellation and I was offered a free session with a free 8×10. Um, yes? The photographer was great with baby and we got some excellent pictures. I ended up buying a few more as well, but everything she said would be free, was. Great marketing because when I want some good professional pictures I will go there.

This review is for JCpenny Portraits studio. Staff was super friendly, punctual to our scheduled time. Most importantly our photographer Liz(didn’t catch her last name), was amazing with our kids, including an 8 month old. We’ve been to a few other JCpenny portrait studios, this one is a top of our list.

This JCPenney has for sure gotten a lot better throughout the last couple of years. There are more brands that are trendy, the prices are great and have great sales as well as adding more shopping features like Sephora to bring more customers into the store. I have found myself shopping here more than I ever have before, they definitely revamp the style and so far it seems like it is working for them

I need to do a shout out to an employee who gave excellent customer service today to my daughter and myself. Shameka in the ladies section was refreshingly friendly, helpful, and happy to be working at JC Penny’s Fashion Fair Mall. More often than not employees like Shameka do not get recognized for being an exemplary employee, so I wanted to say that I greatly appreciate her service today and let JC Penny’s that definitely have a great employee!

First off I would like to say that I am a JC Pennys Platinum member and shop with them quite often. They have great deals and have sales all the time. In the past year I have purchased shoes, clothes, suits and a Bulova watch from them. I also have purchased multiple home items from there home store. Recently I went in and decided to buy some cologne. I saw my favorite brand Dolce and Gabbana light blue stacked up on the counter at the jewelry dept. I grabbed a bottle and waited to be wrung up. The girl behind the counter was nice, she said that was her favorite. She told me that they had a 20% off sale that weekend. I thought to myself, great I get to save 20%. I asked her if I could redeem my $ 15 in jcp rewards. She stated that I could. I decided to look around a bit more before making the purchase and see if there was anything else I wanted to save 20% on. After about 10 minutes I came back to the same counter and was helped out by another lady. I put my items on the counter and the lady told me that I needed to get wrung up in the cosmetic dept called Sephora. I wasn’t sure as to why but I figured ok, it’s the next counter about 15 ft away. I grabbed my items and walked over to the Sephora counter. The lady behind the counter told me that she couldn’t take my JCP card because they aren’t JC Penny. I was a bit confused at that moment. I’m inside JC Penny, in there cosmetic dept with JC Penny items and I could not pay with my JC Penny platinum card. She told me to go back to the counter that I had just came from. Again, I grabbed my items and walked back to the original counter and again a different lady came to assist me. I explained to her that I just wanted to make my purchase and that I was being bounced back n forth from one counter to another. She apologized and said she would ring me up. After scanning all the items she gave me my total. I asked if she had given me the 20% off like I was told by the very first girl and that I wanted to use my rewards points. She told me that I was purchasing a Sephora product(cologne) and that it did not qualify for 20% off and I couldn’t use my rewards points, and I could not pay for it with my JC Penny card. By this time my patience had already run out. I asked her to explain to me again as to why I couldn’t use my card and rewards and again she said that I wasn’t buying a product that JCP sold. Hold on… I’m in your store, with a bottle of cologne that is stacked on the counter where I’m trying to pay and it’s not your product? I asked for a manager and after waiting a few minutes a kid who was probably 20 or 21 years old came up to me and said he was the lead guy. I explained to him what was going on and he said that the cologne was part of Sephora and that Sephora was excluded on the 20% off sale. I grabbed a box on an endcap that was the brand Sephora. I asked him if that was a brand and he said yes. Ok, so I’m not buying anything named Sephora, I am buying a brand that is Dolce and Gabbana. Clearly they are two completely different brands and on the brand exclusions it did not exclude Dolce and Gabbana. He said I was right but that it was still Sephora. WTF? After waisting almost 30 minutes of time and getting nowhere I asked for the store managers name. He gave me the name and I told him that he was a poor lead. He said he was new and didn’t know any way of helping me and that he himself was confused as to how he could help me. I left my items on the counter. Drove home. I grabbed my previous purchase from several days ago and returned back to the store. I saw the same lead and told him I was returning my purchases from a few days ago. He asked me why and I told him because1– I was told by the first associate that I would get to use my rewards + the 20% off, which then changed to I couldn’t and 2– he was clearly not properly trained and was not a good lead. Sorry JCP but you just lost a platinum member. I returned my previous purchase of several suits and got a full refund of $ 1487.00. I will never shop again at this JC Penny store. Worst customer service I have ever had.

Shopping at a department store during the big sale events are always busy. But my family and I had a wonderful shopping experience in Sephora, lingerie, and women shoes departments. The customer service reps were awesome. They were always willing to help.

Not much to say about this store. We went in and right back out. Overpriced, the main walkway was filthy. The store just isn’t my style at all.

Had a terrible terrible experience with having my underarm wax done by NASRIN. She left my underarms so red and sore, management did refund me back for the service after seeing the outcome. But it’s ashame instead of NASRIN apologing for what happened she refused my other service what I booked prior 3wks ago. I never had any problems her doing my eyebrows ever, yes it was my first time doing my underarms and last. NASRIN refused my service because of the refund the management decided to do, from where I’m standing that doesn’t look at all professional on her behalf. NASRIN you need to owe up to your mistakes instead of making customer feel it was there fault.

Hmmm. Not much to say here. JC Penney is JC Penney.

Dead empty, as always. Don’t go here for furniture: it’s like a used car lot with hungry sharks all over the place. Such a turn-off.
