Up until about a year ago this place was great. However, all of the old staff is gone(with the exception of one elderly gent) and there is a different crew every time we go in. They seem to need training… long waits, no chips & salsa, drinks never served. Please bring the other staff back! Also, the place is beginning to look dingy and run down. The carpets are filthy and make me hesitant to return. We were seated in the back room and found the plank flooring to be really slippery, like a bad polish put on it. Be careful! As for the food, it has been hit and miss now, where before, it was consistently very good. We do not come here much any more, but would love to return if they brought back the old crew and cleaned up the place.

I found this place after much searching and reading reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at this restaurant! It is tucked in a strip mall so it was a little hard to find, but well worth the time! We received a friendly greeting upon arrival and was escorted to a table where we were immediately served chips and salsa. Which was amazing. They have a vast selection of margaritas! We ordered a pitcher and received the tasty concoction promptly. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant itself was more of a restaurant and less of a cafeteria style with a full bar. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Overall our family enjoys coming here. The food is good compared to other Mexican places in Fremont. However, I have to say that the last couple of times we have come, we have had bad service. Issue being that the wait staff is no where to be found and/or not following through with requests. Better to come here on off hours to enjoy the food and have better service.

Been here a few times, and it wa fine but tonight I just ordered a super famous veggie burrito and a large horchata and they charged me like $ 15.38 when the guy told me my total I kind of winced and was like hold up is that right? I didn’t ask him though since he seemed to be aware and know what he was doing and when he came out and brought my food he forgot my drink and I had to walk back in to ask for it, so then I get home and as I eat my food I realize I don’t have the enchilada sauce or guacamole on my burrito! PLUS the price was still bugging me, I went online checked out the menu price they over charged me the shit out of me! a Large veggie famous burrito is $ 8.65! How the fuck did a large drink cost 8 dollars? did they charge me for two burritos? I feel like straight up ROBBED. Probably not going to go back ever. Hope you have better luck then I did

Came for a Paint Nite event. This location is great for it. The back room is plenty big, with enough room to walk around. There are also ceiling fans, which allowed the background of our paintings to dry a lot faster during the break. I didn’t order anything to eat or drink, but the wait staff was very attentive. Most people got food«to go» to eat while they were painting.

I used to come here religiously but several times I came got a bad service and that was 2 to 3 years ago. Me and my husband wanted to come back and see if anything is different… Last visit was surprising good so we decided to come back as regular… my husband gets super promiso and I get 2 little shrimp taquitos… They are delicious! Anyways chips are endless and very fresh. Waitresses are very attentive. Only thing I’m sad is that togo orders chips are small! That is only thing bothers me. We used to go to another place. Now this is a go place!

I really like the deep fried rock cod with all the fixings(tortilla, beans & rice). This place has a well stocked full service bar; I heard their sangria is good but have not tried it. Try their burritos and tacos also. There are a lot of entries I cannot eat because they are made with cilantro; but there are other selections to please everyone.

I’ve been coming here for years! But, lately their service has just gotten worse. And because I’ve grown up coming here is the only reason why I gave this place multiple chances. But this last time I was there was the worst. Just wanted to have a simple Saturday dinner with my mom. They sat us right away, server brought us menu’s and chips and salsa and two cups of water… and that was it. We seriously sat waiting for someone to come back and take our order for 25 min! People that came in before us got to order and got their food before us! Finally, I just had to get up and ask to speak to the manager. The guy did his best to fix the problem but the damage was already done and towards the end they still pretty much left us there and took forever to bring us our check. Bad service! I’d rather make the drive to another place but I don’t think I’ll be going back.

**3.5-stars** Who knew Fremont had a good Mexican restaurant buffet? This is a popular spot for weekend brunch($ 15.99/person). Good thing I made reservations ahead of time for our part of 12. My friends and I came around 11am. We were seated in the back room which was nice since it was easier to hear everyone at the table. The brunch layout was overwhelming. I didn’t know where to start. If you weren’t in the mood for Mexican food, they do offer standard American breakfast items like pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Chips and salsa as well as warm tortillas were brought to every table. The most popular area was the omelet station. You are able to customize your own omelet with your choice of meat and veggies. I liked their tacos and warm soups as well. Their horchata was pretty good too. Don’t forget to save room for dessert! Besides fresh fruit, they offer an assortment of sweets including chocolate covered strawberries and tres leches.

Sick as a dog today, and was hoping for some Menudo. I called and asked for three orders for my family and I and everything was fine. They asked what tortilla’s I wanted and they told me how long it would take. My wife shows up they have no more Menudo… WTF Never coming here again smh!

My rule of thumb: good chips and salsa equals a good restaurant! That doesn’t apply here. The La Piñata Platter was not pleasing. It reminds me food for drunks(ie: no flavor, just fried«stuff»). The chimichanga(chile verde) was extremely dry. I covered the meat with salsa. And, the chips and salsa was very basic. Service was decent. Also, I was surprised it was packed during a mid week dinner time!

This place hit the spot when my friends and I had the post-concert munchies. Located really close to Fremont BART, we were able to make happy hour(10pm(?)-close) and get $ 6 meals and $ 4 beers after our journey from Oakland. Even 12:30, there were plenty of people seated and enjoying their food. Super casual atmosphere, authentic Mexican food, and a tequila bar I have yet to try. Highly recommend!

This place has excellent service hands down. There wasn’t a time they didn’t make sure we had everything we needed. That’s the only reason for the stars. The food on the other hand was very bland. No flavor at all, and my chile rellenos were super dry. I had to ask for more sauce, and that still didn’t help. Their rice tasted like it came from a box and it was very displeasing to have carrots and peas mixed with it. I didn’t even want a to go box, and I still had a full chile relleno left. Definitely wouldn’t come back here again.

Good place to eat. The restaurant was bigger than I thought. Clean place with lots of staff! Food was a 3⁄5 overall for me but I gave is another star for their service. Honestly the service was great! Staff as very attentive and nice. Our server was Richard, he was good. Food was good, very average. — Loved their medium salsa. Complimentary chips come with medium salsa, but you can ask them for hot and mild. Medium has a nice spice to it but the hot is too hot for me. Mild was okay. 4⁄5 for chips and salsa — Two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans: beans were decent 4⁄5. Rice was good as well. They added corn and peas in the rice and it had a different fried rice type of taste 3⁄5 enchiladas were okay. The corn tortillas were a bit hard 3⁄5 — Wet burrito(vegetarian): they said it would come with refried beans but had pinto instead. My fiancée ate 75% of it and really enjoyed it 4⁄5 — Flan: was a bit on the hard since but still pretty good! 4⁄5 — Margarita: my first time having a margarita and I liked it. Fiancée said it was well made so 4⁄5 Good place for dinner with good service. Food wise, it wasn’t the most authentic. Would return of needed.

Try not to get seated in the back by the kitchen window, next to the tequila in the cage. They’ll forget about you; especially during busy hours. Was seated at least 20min earlier than the party across from us and their chips and water were refilled twice before ours was, once. And they took their order first too. 3 stars because the waiter we have is not one I’ve seen before; the other times I’ve been here, they’ve been very attentive. Then again, I’ve never been sat in the back.

Like some reviews, yes this didn’t have the appeal but Inside was that authentic Hispanic atmosphere. Really reminds me of when I went to a cruise to Mexico. The service is outstanding due to the endless chips and salsa served by three different waiters. One of which who is very attentive to his customers. Food was great, went here with my boyfriend and his brother and it was their first time trying it. They thought it was to grab and go but it was a sit — down. They were so full off the chips & salsa that they couldn’t finish their burritos lol! As I ordered my regular quesadilla. This place is a bit pricey considering it’s a sit — down restaurant but nonetheless take your whole family here for dinner!

First time at this location. Sat right away, it was not busy at all. Ordered the lunch enchiladas. Tasted great. Didn’t get to try the margaritas but it looked like they had a descent bar. Will deff be returning.

Honestly, INSPITE of a not very appealing appearance from the outside, we went for it coz we saw a decent amount of reviews and we were looking for Mexican food near by. We were in for a surprise! Great food and great service. If you want some very authentic Mexican food and you are particular about the ambience, go here! Supposedly they are a chain all over the Bay Area. Loved our chicken chimichangas, chicken tortilla soup, plain huevos mexicana, and our sangrias and beers!

The chips and salsa are ADDICTING! Spicy and sweet, it hurts so good. And the chips, crunch crunch. We asked for more like 3 times. My coworkers and I frequent this place after work a lot for happy hour. We split a pitcher of margaritas and snack on the chips and salsa alone. Can’t go wrong with anything you order. Entrees are very generous and usually a heaping amount of sour cream and guacamole fills your platter. The other night my sisters and I attended for a paint nite event held here and we had a blast as they served drinks and food white we painted. A little messy but fun.

Returned after years and this place is still bad, perhaps worse now. Floors are filthy with chip crumbs, the tables are sticky and the venue is super noisy. My pulled pork was full of fat chunks and they forgot the salsa in my burrito(probably because my friend ordered none in hers). The food is not nearly as good as the street stuff and overpriced for what you get. I won’t be returning.

As good as it gets. I told the waitress I was in a rush and my super burrito came out in less than five minutes. Good portion. Tasty pork. Chips and salsa were solid. Also, tequila was good. No hangover will be had with 100% agave. JFGI!

We enjoyed a nice evening. I had the 2-choice dinner(beef enchilada and chile relleno) and was very good, included were rice and beans. A pitcher of Margarita was awesome. The chips and salsa were good, one of us can’t have spicy so he brought us a mild version. Chips were fresh and tasty. Our waiter was very friendly and took good care of us.
