FYI: I didn’t experience any kind of lack of A/C. It was blasting when I was in. Maybe it was broken last time??? This place was pretty fun. I went with my wife on our weekly date night and we had a blast! You sit with a few strangers, which I think, is the best part about it. Wait… you get to bring your own booze! How could I forget… So near the end, everyone is a little tipsy and their sides hurt from laughing so much. It’s great to go and experience painting with an instructor. I couldn’t imagine I could paint anything close to what I actually did. Even though, I didn’t like it too much, it’s better than I’ve ever done, that’s for sure. It would be cool if they had some snacks, or some wine. I know you get to bring your own, but what if you run out? LOL I didn’t realize how much time had past… we got there at 7pm and left at 10pm.

I only gave this 4 stars because they gotta loosen those purse strings and turn down the A/C. I love coming here with friends, but when you have a full class drinking and having a good time, and come the quick 10 – 15 min break everyone bolts for the front door to cool off there is a problem. Several people asked and we were told ‘there is a fan up front, that’s all we can do right now.’ I never expected to sweat it out while painting. But otherwise – great time! The instructors and all those there are great! Just dress for a Texas summer if you come in.

We love painting at A Piece of Work. The ladies that own the studio are very accommodating to guests. Your can bring your own food and drink to enjoy while you paint. If you forget food there are three restaurants within steps of the studio. If you are looking for party ideas, the studio has private parties all the time. The whole experience is fun and relaxing at the same time. Sign up for their emails and or Facebook page and you will receive offer and notices of special events. Also, they have a frequent painter program — a card that gets stamped every time you visit. What can you paint? All sorts of landscapes, still life, even you pet! Excellent instructors that allow plenty of time for everyone to keep up and will help you out if you need them to touch up your masterpiece. I highly recommend.

Some of my co-workers came to A Piece of Work due to us all getting a great deal through Groupon. So we drove the 22 miles to get there which was pretty far on a weekday night since we work during the week. But it was definately worth it! We have all been to other Painting/drinking classes before, but this one we loved the look of the place the cute décor, friendly faces and greetings when we entered was also very appealing. We had a little time before the class started, and some of the co-workers that got there first went next door(literally next door) and got us a pizza from Roccos Pizza, and they delievered it next door for them so that was nice and convienant for all of us. Our teacher spoke and taught at a great pace so that we weren’t overwhelmed of our painting looking perfect or if we made any mistake it wasn’t a big deal she came over and helped us! So we all had our drinks and snacks, and in this case a pizza to have before and during so it worked out great! They let you have breaks in between certain sections of the painting so you are not sitting and painting continuously, and also allowing time for some paint to dry!.. SOOOO if you are EVER in the area of Locke Ave in Ft Worth, you should go to a class, what do you have to lose?! And you will make great memories with friends/family ;)

I went with 2 other friends. I had such a good time. Shared a bottle of wine and painted a very nice picture The instructors were nice and so helpful. They have classes for people without children. It is nice to have a place to go without having the business of small children. They do however have classes designed for just for families. Just remember it is BYOB

I’ve been to A Piece of Work several times and each time is better than the last. I’m not artistically inclined but with the instruction from the artists I have painted some nice pictures and had a great time with my friends. My son and I just went and painted a picture on family day and he loved it. Check it out if you want a fun place to go with your friends, husband or just by yourself. They make you feel comfortable and they are friendly.
