Really neat set up. The only draw back is no liquor. Beer & wine only. You have to be a member to bring in anything else. Nice selection of cigars, with plenty of comfortable rooms to enjoy your smoke. The also have a patio out back.

Great selection of cigars, welcoming local patrons, good wine, and always a good time. Park across the street in the parking garage. Wish I could go more often.

If you drive a truck and try to park in their parking lot the wife of the proprietor will run you off. In an area of town with insufficient parking this establishment redefines insufficient sufficiently. I’ll NEVER be back after I was rudely admonished at 3 pm on a mid week afternoon when there was only one other patron in the place. Go SOMEWHEREELSE to buy a cigar and smoke it. The chairs are old and uncomfortable. There is no need to patronize a place that doesn’t understand the most basic and fundamental aspects of customer service. It’s a waste of time to buy a beer or drink in a lousy establishment when this area of town is overflowing with friendly drinking holes with friendly owners.

Loved the selection, décor and personality of Pop’s. Upscale and unpretentious enough not to know it.

I know I burned all the cilia in my bronchus lol! Great time here! I believe the pianist’s name is Terry and he plays the 2nd Sat of each month? He was pretty awesome. Over time, our party grew to 6 people and we ended up lounging by the piano. The friendliest couple eventually joined us and soon enough we were all singing like old band mates alongside with Terry. Never mind I had to look up the Neil Diamond lyrics… that’s not the point. We were all one song spirit. Terry also blew on the harmonica for us. Cigars to please multiple tastes & budgets. Spirits are served as well. The staff were super friendly — pairing a drink with my cigar choice. Vibe was extremely chill. We finally left *after* closing. PS: they have memberships for frequent patrons…$ 100/year I think… comes with a personal locker and other perks too. Go, go, go.

Fun place to hang out and grab a cigar or two. Good selection of sticks at reasonable prices. I enjoyed my Romeo Y Julieta Reserva immensely. Lots of couches to chill in. Checck it out.

I love this place. Great cigar selection and smoking lounge. Several beers on tap and in the fridge. Fair prices on tobacco and drinks. All what I am looking for in a cigar lounge. Definitely going to become my go to spot for cigar buying now that I am in Fort Worth.

Love love love. Best place in the metroplex to relax, smoke a cigar, listen to great music and drink a glass of wine. Great atmosphere for a solid group of friends to hang out and unwind after a long week at work.

*cough* Okay, now that’s out of the way… Pop’s Cigars is a cool lil’ cigar shop full of friendly cigar smokin’ folk and even a pretty kitty to snuggle up to you. There is live jazz on weekend nights and some libations to have with your cigar too– the usual wine, after dinner madeira/amaretto selections. There is ample ample seating and lots of friendly folk to chat with. Honestly, even if you aren’t a smoker, you could probably just get a drink and just be in the joint and still ingest the equivalent of ½ a cigar. But hey, it’s charming and chill and the perfect way to end your night. Promise!

I visited numerous times this week while in the Fort Worth area. Pop’s Safari Room is a great description of what to expect. Relaxed atmosphere, antique furniture in a warm and cozy setting. No hustle and bustle here! Sit down and enjoy a nice conversation with Perry and his guests, or try one of the other(three indoors) sitting areas and enjoy conversation with your friends. The décor is simply amazing. To get a good feel of what to expect beforehand, go to their website and click on the ‘Virtual Pop’s’ tab. Their menu of American and exotic dishes is online, and while they offer fine dining, they can cater and provide premium transportation(Rolls Royce). I highly recommend.

Been going there for ten years now… Nice place. They need to run their air scrubbers a little more though. Even my eyes were watering. Food is first rate too.

There’s always something a little haywire going down at Pop’s, and the formula for that idea seems to be this: take one part semi-quirky singer songwriter upon entry, mix in a salt shaker’s worth of some old friend’s living room, sprinkle around a cast of quirky regulars(and the occasional enthusiastic drop in), conjure a craft beer, mix, repeat. It’s really quite remarkable. For as much carping as I do about the foggyness of some of Funkytown’s smoggiest enclaves, I have no problem with the puff that hits you in a cigar bar. There clearly is an air of joviality that permeates this place, and we happily burnt away this weekend with the stories we would up with friends and the always entertaining spirited tales of strangers. In the background, the acoustic twanger was regaling us with her version of Foster The People’s «Pumped Up Kicks,» which if you’ve never heard imagined as singer songwriter fare, is really something. I can’t go all the time ’cause my clothes smell like a repair shop or Wilfred Brimley’s basement for a couple of days after. But I sure do have a blast when I’m here.

I love this place. This review is not for the food(which I have not tried), but for the lounge where I’ve had a post-meal drink on a few occasions. My favorite aspect is that it feels like sitting in(a well-traveled) person’s quirky living room. No waiters to tend to, and no crowds to yell over, which makes it an ideal, intimate place to drink and chat for however long you please. It’s also worth noting they have a great beer selection in that it’s not the typical lineup of beers you see in most bars, but a handful of microbrews, which is a huge plus for me since I am into that kind of thing. Note: as the other reviews have pointed out, yes, all your clothes will smell like cigar smoke since it is a smoking lounge. That’s what the washing machine is for. :P

Pros: Great cigars, good cigar pricing Nice ambiance Nice beer and wine selection Con’s: You definitely will smell like cigar smoke the minute you walk in Wine is a bit pricey as noted by another reviewer DONOTGETANYOFTHEGROUNDMEAT. What the heck, have they not heard of seasoning? We had Beef and Buffalo and I have had better at Fuddruckers!

Cigar Aficionado Local Hot Spot!!! Pop’s is a low-key man’s cigar spot that has a decent amount of alcohol to satisfy one’s guy’s night fix. The walk-in humidor has a decent selection of cigars to choose from ranging in price. Pay for your cigar at the bar and grab a beer. You can sit inside or outside. Inside serves as a rustic inn with various stuffed animals mounted to the wall in true Texan/African style. There’s numerous couches and plush chairs to sit in to enjoy conversations with your friends. You can sit on the back patio and a server usually comes out every 10 minutes to see if refills of beer are needed. Pop’s usually doesn’t get too crowded so you don’t have to worry about getting there early or anything. Expect the place to be smokey but from cigars… not cigarettes. This place is NOT for prissy women.

This is definitely the place to go if you don’t mind smelling like an ashtray for the rest of the month, but seriously. There is a crowd of «regulars» that aren’t all that inviting(or at least the women aren’t). The bartender(I can’t remember her name) was really nice and accommodating but $ 7 for a glass of house wine that costs $ 10 at the grocery store is hardly my idea of fun. It is cool inside, very rustic and manly but I seriously had trouble breathing for the rest of the night. Now that the yuppie-fest that is «West 7th» has popped up, it is even harder to find a place to park.(There are security guards patrolling the garage and they’ll tow your car if they see you go into a place that isn’t part of the«complex»). If you’re looking for a place to hang and smoke, this might be your bag. If you aren’t, perhaps you should just forego this one.

First off, don’t discount this place as a cigar shop. I have never bought a cigar here, but have thoroughly enjoyed myself on many occasions! Yes, they sell fine cigars(and a HUGE selection thereof), but you can also have a nice lunch, or just sit back in a nice leather chair and enjoy one of your own smokes, sipping a drink, while listening to some nice local musicians. On weekend nights you’ll find a nice, intimate but appreciative crowd taking in the music and enjoying the company of those around them. I’ve made some pretty diverse friends just having a smoke here. Some things to keep in mind: Bar service is limited. They sell a handful of beers and make even fewer mixed drinks. I usually wander over here after having a few at Capital Bar, Pour House or 7th Haven. Also, they close at midnight, so keep your plans open for the rest of the evening. Unless you turn into a pumpkin. Your loss.
