I loved the food especially the affordable combos. But if you are not good with spicy food get Mild. My boyfriend and I got medium spicy and I couldn’t handle it haha. But overall it is a nice place to eat.

This place is all about being cheesy! We got the combo which includes kimchi fried rice, yuppdok(rice cakes), and pork katsu($ 38 – 40). For three people, we were only able to finish half the combo. Also, remember to mix the cheese right away and not wait for too long or else it’ll get too hard to mix. The yuppdok was spicy(medium spicy) to my friends but I find it just right. It had glass noodles, fish cakes, rice cakes, and mini sausages in it. It didn’t taste like anything expect for it being spicy, but I liked it. The kimchi bacon fried rice was good, we completely finished it! It has seaweed, chips, corn, and egg. However it’s not flavorful as it sound. The pork katsu was two full pieces and it came with cabbage salad, potato salad, yellow radish, corn, and a seaweed covered rice with corn. The katsu was crispy and lightly fried, it was good but we weren’t much of katsu fans to begin with. The potato salad was good though! Definitely wouldn’t mind coming back, overall a good food experience.

Good service! Reasonable price! I felt like I was back in high school as I entered this restaurant. Came here last night to grab an early dinner with my boyfriend and the food was average, simple but good. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Any questions we had she tried to best answer them. We decided to skip the combo deals on the menu and picked 2 sides entrees and one main meal instead. Here’s what we ordered: Mini rice balls — 6 pieces(Seaweed covered with rice and eggs) Oden soup –2 piece skewered fish cakes with the soup Main dish: (S) Assorted Yupgi Topokki — tasted delicious and I got it mild spicy. I suggest the mild because their hot is pretty hot. Mild for us was pretty spicy. I couldn’t imagine how the hot will be. Maybe ass burning. The rice ball was okay and the skewered oden soup tasted good. Overall, this place is quite affordable that’s why there’s a lot of young adults are there and that’s why you will see here again.

Wow they put cheese on everything here! The mild for the rice cakes here will suit most people who are adverse to spicy foods. They also have great combos and more serve some drinks as well. Surprisingly enough they also have donkatsu. It tasted pretty great. I highly recommend this place!

Delicious but bring tissues because this stuff is spicy! We’ve ordered the Udon Pot, Tuna and Mayo Rice, Asssorted Toppoki, and Katsu Set Dishes and none of them are dishes I wouldn’t order again!

Wanted to try something different besides tofu stew or bbq so decided to give this korean restaurant a try. Great korean fast food place. Ordered a combo of yuppduck, kimchi fried rice and pork katsu. Yuppduck was a bit watery, kinda different from what we had in Korea before. But the fried rice and pork katsu were really delicious. I expected the food to be very salty but they turned out great. Even my parents who are not big fan of Korean food enjoyed it. We ordered fried squid as well, which was disappointing. Don’t bother ordering that.

Really amazing 2 people combos to share. We got the ddukboki and bacon kimchi fried rice which comes on a nicely seasoned cast iron skillet. Gotta love the crusted cheese on that cast iron! The combo came out to the perfect portion for a night out when craving some yummy comfort food. Wouldn’t mind coming back!

Came here with two others for dinner. Ordered their Special Combo which was Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice, Pork Katsu with side salad and spicy rice cakes. The kimchi bacon fried rice was alright — not too flavorful, but filling. The katsu was probably my favorite — lightly fried and dressed with katsu sauce and cheese. It comes with a cabbage salad and Thousand Island dressing, potato salad and corn. The spicy rice cakes are indeed very spicy(even Medium spicy was too hot for me) and it comes with vermicelli, fish cakes and hot dogs and topped with cheese. It is good, but I couldn’t handle the heat. The food is pretty standard for Korean fare, and comes out quickly.

This place is highly recommended! The spicy rice cake sauce is very tasty and unique flavor. It is sweet and spicy at the same time. If u can’t stand spicy food this place is probably not suited for you(& u r missing out in life!). Make sure to note that mild spicy is quite hot! Come in when its cold hehe :)

Surprised I didn’t review this place yet! I’ve been here twice and I highly recommend their katsu and kimchi fried rice with cheese and bacon! Love the fact they come with chips too. Ribs are pretty good, but not fall off the bone good. They do have an ample amount of spice! It’s definitely a spot to hit up if you want to know where you should eat around Flushing!

Came here with friends for dinner after classes. It’s a Korean fast food restaurant so they specialize in fried rice, dukboki, katsus, and other items of this sort. The place is decently sized and can probably accommodate about 25 people. Service was ok, nothing spectacular. Bacon kimchi fried rice with cheese and corn– I think this is what they’re most famous for. It comes in a sizzling pan too! The first few bites were amazing. The bacon kimchi fried rice was really flavorful with a nice spicy kick to it. The cheese added saltiness to the rice while the seaweed added a unique flavor. The chips were also really good and crispy. However, after a few more bites, it just got a little too nauseating because of the cheese. It just ended up being too filling and I wasn’t even able to finish the whole thing. If you’re coming here for this dish, I definitely recommend sharing it! Assorted dukbokki– Similar to the bacon kimchi fried rice, the first few bites tasted great. The assorted ingredients included various fish cakes, cellophane noodles, and sausages and they all tasted delicious! I’d been having a cheese dukbokki craving for the longest time and I was very satisfied by the one we got here! However, after eating more of it, there just seemed to be a really weird sweet taste to it that I did not enjoy. It’s not as spicy as people make it to be though. Overall, I’m just left a little on the fence with this place. The food tasted good in the beginning but if you eat too much of it, it sort of becomes a bore. Prices were decent. I got the bacon kimchi fried rice for myself and shared the assorted dukbokki with 3 other friends and ended up paying $ 24. I recommend going in larger groups so that you get to order a larger variety of foods so that you don’t get bored/nauseous of one dish.

Few months back, the bacon kimchi fried rice was all I saw on my Instagram newsfeed and it had me drooling every single time. I finally tried it for the first time in July and it was pretty tasty. It wasn’t anything phenomenal but I enjoyed it. If you’re getting the bacon kimchi fried rice you have to mix it ASAP rocky or the cheese will solidify really quick. You also have to eat it fast for the same reason. When you take a bite, your spoon should be filled with each ingredient in the dish. I loved the chips with it because it was so different, I’ve never eaten rice with chips. It just worked well. The donkatsu tasted like donkatsu, but I think I prefer kimganae’s more. Overall it was okay, not on the top of my list but I would come again!

Came back again and had the ribs! Theyre really good and has a bit of a kick to it. They give you gloves a bowl to put the bones which is cool. Had the fruit soju. I thought it was okay. They said it was fresh but it didnt taste fresh to me. And for some reason they dont have fish katsu anymore Whcih i really liked? Twice I came and twice they did not have. If you dont have it, please cross it off the menu. It is not cool to toy with my food feelings like that.

I’ve been seeing pictures and videos of the infamous kimchi cheese fried rice for weeks so i’ve been dying to try this place. Between me and my friend, we got the kimchi cheese fried rice and the budae jigae. The kimchi cheese fried rice isn’t on the menu but you can just ask for it. It comes with these deliciousssss chips, seaweed, an egg on top and ALOTTT of cheese. Honestly, the cheese & chips makes the dish. Without the cheese, it would be a blehh dish. Try to eat the meal fast cause the cheese hardens up and becomes hard to eat after which makes all the fun go away :( The budae jigae comes with a bowl of rice and tastes like how you would generally find it at other korean establishments. It wasnt impressive but wasnt a disappointment either. The place has a lunch special where a lot of the dishes are $ 9.99 and they also have different combo dishes that are reasonably priced. This place is technically suppose to be known for their toppoki(rice cake) but I heard from other friends who have gone that is taste really bad so I wouldnt recommend that! Not dying to return to this place but Im sure i’ll be back in the distant future !

This place is a bit overhyped in my opinion. I was really excited to come here after seeing all the droolworthy instagram and facebook pictures of the kimchi fried rice, but I left pretty disappointed at the food. The service here is really good and the restaurant is new & clean, so it’s a good place to sit and catch up with friends. We ordered the cheese dukbokki and kimchi fried rice lunch combo. We requested the mild dukbokki but it was extremely spicy, and I’m someone who usually really enjoys spicy food. It was a weird festering spicy that stayed on my tongue, and the dukbokki was an odd rubbery consistency. Not really my cup of tea… We probably ate 1⁄3 or less of it. The kimchi fried rice came with a bunch of chips, seaweed, corn, and a lot of cheese in a pan. The presentation was really cute, but it was really standard kimchi fried rice. It was good, but nothing super exciting or innovative to me. I’ve had a lot better Korean food elsewhere on Northern Blvd so would be hard pressed for me to come here again.

Their famous spicy rice cake was just ok for me. We ordered the large assorted spicy rice cake with regular spicy level. And the portion was huge! The rice cake was a bit too chewy/hard for me. I personally like them a bit softer. And damn the rice cake was spicy! We ordered just regular spicy and they had spicy and median spicy and extra spicy. And I think I can eat spicy so I really cannot imagine what the extra spicy one is like. The flavor was just ok too. It could use a bit more cheese in my opinion. We also ordered the kimchi fried rice without the bacon(trying to cut out on the pork), and that was very good. And I think I would come back just to try that. Overall a good place. It’s a bummer that they don’t serve alcohol. I would come back to try out other items on the menu

I heard this place was the new, hot spot so obviously I need to check it out. I went with one of my boys and the second we walked in, everyone stared. Why is this important? This restaurant is relatively intimate for a Korean comfort food spot. There wasn’t any music from what I remember — but this restaurant got popping right after we got there. Probably a wait of 3 or 4 parties. The restaurant ‘feels’ very Korean, as if you’re in Korea. If you ever wondered what it felt like, this restaurant emulates it. No worries if you’re not Korean, the staff speaks English. Onto the grub — I ordered the famous Yupdduck and I was like what’s so special? It’s so easy to make, and there are so many restaurants that make it. This one was different. I’m a HUGE texture guy, and the texture of this dduk was smooth and soft. It had just enough«chew» and it wasn’t hard to eat at all. There was a special ‘smoothness’ to the dduk that made it delicious. Disclaimer: I ordered the spicy and I love heat. This heat is no joke. If you look at the picture I provided vs the picture of mild, it’s like a different color family. It’s really spicy — please take my word for it. Mild should suffice. Nevertheless, the yupdduk had cabbage, sliced sausages, fish cakes and cellophane noodles. Overall very good, just don’t get spicy. We also got this kimchi fried rice dish that’s not on the menu. I didn’t know what it was called so I showed a picture and the waitress knew exactly what it was. We got one of those and it was amazing. It was kimchi fried rice, pork belly, corn, cheese, some herbs, and these hard(sweet potato) skinny fries. All this topped off with a sunny side up fried egg. Smash that egg and mix that up. Beautiful… I don’t know where to begin on flavor. It comes on this hot dish, so when you mix it, the cheese hardens and is delicious. The rice itself is cooked already but on the hot plate, it hardens a little for a crunch. The skinny fries are doused in delicious garlic and have a sweet element because I think they’re sweet potatoes. Overall, a must-try spot. I like it because their menu is expansive and it calls you to come back to try their other dishes. I think this place will do really well — it’s in a great location, the food tastes great, the staff is nice and it offers a niche market of foods with a few special twists. I will be back.
