This place is awesome. Great smiles and service. Food was absolutely delicious. Definitely a place to enjoy instead of the run of the mill chain restaurants. There is one on campus, but we ate at the one on 89. Don’t pass up this kind of cooking.

Nice looking spacious restaurant in a big plaza in East Flagstaff. I ordered their chili cheese fries while my friends ordered a huge breakfast burrito, a buffalo chicken sandwich, and a hashbrown biscuit combo. I thought the fries were a little too dry, and the cheese and chili were not as flavorful as I expected, but the portion was huge for a simple side order!

I’ve been here two times and plan to make it my go to place while on the way to Snowbowl or Flagstaff in general. They have great Fried steak, the biscuits are HUGE, so keep that in mind. Everything was a good price and well cooked overall. Very happy about this place and that my friend took me here initially. Looking forward to more visits.

Well we just left THEPLACE restaurant and all three of us(our entire family) all are clenching our stomachs in pain. Hopefully it’s not food poisoning or mishandling of food in the kitchen that has our guts in a rut. I’m always hopeful when visiting restaurants for the 1st time and when I saw decent reviews on Unilocal and google I decided to give this place a try. We found them off of . The wait staff is friendly the establishment is like a local diner set up. Walk in you seat yourself. We sat in a corner booth and glanced over at the stacked children’s booster chairs that looked filthy and as if it’s been a while since they were really wiped down. I wish I had taken a picture. That could have been a precursor of what was to come. We went for dinner, unlike most reviewers that had breakfast, so all I can comment on is our dinner experience. We ordered the $ 14 Baby Back Ribs, $ 14 Ribeye and Kids spaghetti and meatball $ 4.10. All the food was very lack luster and nothing to be excited about, very similar to cafeteria food. All the food seemed to come from a can, with the exception of the garden salad w/ranch on the side was good. Ribeye was ordered medium pink center, came out well done. The ribs were so dry I left half of them on the plate just not appetizing and I had to ask them to microwave my bake potato some more as it was very hard in the center(undercooked). The green beans definitely came from a can and my son’s spaghetti and meatballs tasted that way as well, very similar to chef Boyardee. Yes the food is affordable(but at what cost if you become sick from it!) and plentiful, service is friendly, establishment is way casual. Could really use some extreme cleaning! Upon my look around when we sat down the table appeared wiped down but under the table was filthy, crayons and food from previous patrons left there on the floor. The window our booth butted up to was filthy of child greasy handprints, many as if multiple patrons before. I would agree with other reviewers that locals frequent this place as they stated Natives come here. I really hate to leave negative reviews for restaurants but I’m sorry this was just not a good experience and with us all not feeling well right after is a indication perhaps in the kitchen or the way food prepared or mishandled. Perhaps cross contamination not following food handling guidelines. We did not complain to the waitress as we felt there would have been no resolution and knowing we’d never return we just wanted to pay and head out.

If you’re looking for a hearty breakfast that will fill you up for a day of skiing or snowboarding, this is the place. Classic diner food(omelettes, waffles, pancakes, biscuits) with absolutely MASSIVE portions. The biscuits are the size of a small bowl with bottomless gravy. And if you order chorizo, you will get mostly chorizo. Not for those looking for a well balanced, healthy breakfast. Best to get there a little earlier in the morning to beat the crowd if you’re going for breakfast and then hit the mountain.

Had the steak and eggs. Hasbrowns were undercooked. Chicken fried steak was really good. Diced potatoes are the way to go. Fast friendly service. Just wish the steak and hash browns were better?

You know it is going to be good food when the majority of the customers are native people! Great breakfast soul food in large shareable portions! Staff is very friendly!

I never write bad reviews, I always try to find the gem in any situation. But guess there is always a first and The Place has unfortunately given me the opportunity. I have always been happy with The Place and their service however after today my family and I will never eat here again. My son called and asked if they were busy and took reservations. He was told they were busy and did not hold tables. We arrived to find an empty table that would fit all 7 of us. When we were told we had a 20 minute wait we asked about the empty table. We were told by the server and manager that that table was being held. It appears another table wanted it held for friends that were coming. The people who wanted the table held had already ordered. So apparently they do hold tables if you show up and expect friends who MIGHT arrive. We sat outside for 10 minutes watching to see when the rest of the party would show up. They never did. Awesome customer service.

Service took a minute, but In their defense we arrived on Saturday morning at rush hour. Large portions for the price. Tried the hungry man plate, which was very filling. Food was alright, nothing exceptional. Just get there early if you have somewhere to be after breakfast.

We stumbled upon this place by accident. Glad we did! They are tucked into a shopping center strip mall. We were greeted right away and sat within a minute, despite the whole restaurant being almost full. The portions are HUGE! I recommend sharing a plate, or grabbing a side in addition. The hash browns are a serving for 6! The biscuits are the biggest biscuits we have ever seen at a restaurant. Our server was very friendly, did many check backs and was prompt with processing our payment. We will be back next time we are in town!

The breakfast here is filling and food. My only issue was the constant yelling done by the severs! This is definitely bit the place to go for a nice quite breakfast. Constant hollering back and forth from the wait staff and the kitchen was too much and made me cringe especially when the waitress was right behind me! Food was good, I did have biscuits that tasted like burnt oil.. Hashbrowns were still my favorite!

I love this place! Everything about it is perfect. The portions are HUGE so be prepared to ask for a to go box because you’ll need it. The food is delicious and has that«grandmas kitchen» type feel to it. My favorite is the breakfast burrito, but I’m always torn between that and the chicken fried steak.

Bad food, bad environment. Very dirty and outdated, bathrooms are filthy. Food is nothing special, large portions and greasy. Wouldn’t recommend. TIP: The other location on Milton is half decent, very good breakfast burritos!

We had high expectations coming in based on many of the local recommendations. Pancakes were very good, The biscuits are huge. The chorizo omelette was awesome. The hashbrowns were a bit disappointing due to the thickness of the serving. The outside was crisp but the inside too soft. This place was crazy busy Saturday morning

This is not the correct place I left the good review for that was the one on Milton. This place the manager/server Christina was rude and disrespectful. Will not be coming here again EVER!!! Rather drive the extra five minuets for the friendlier service and better tasting food.

Coffee was good, i liked my breakfast too, no my Alex, not so much. He had the chorizo burnt, and doesn’t want to come back. I do agree with him on the hashbrowns, they were soaked in grease and mushy and huge amounts of them. The only thing i liked was my omelet. The biscuits are ginormous, i can’t eat because of my allergy to gluten. points for the non-dairy flavored creamer, so lets do the math here… minus a star for the burnt chorizo, minus another star for the really bad hashbrowns, add a star for the flavored creamer and another for my descent omelet, but over all, minus another star because my Alex wasn’t happy with his breakfast. That was the only way to figure out how to rate Mike & Ronda’s The Place. Place was super busy, i don’t get it, i feel there is no need for the amount of food they put on one plate, hence the reason why humans are overweight Sorry to say, we won’t be back.

Nice place in a shopping center close to the hotel we stayed in. A wide selection of food and breakfast served all day. Had their double cheeseburger. Very good and too much for me. Several sides to choose from; potato salad, coleslaw, and more. Please stop by for a meal if you are on Flagstaff. Just very good.

Looking for a quick simple diner breakfast with good pricing and lots of food, on par with Denny’s or IHOP? This is The Place(ha ha, I crack myself up!). We stayed at a motel down the street after doing the Grand Canyon and I sifted through reviews to find this place because I couldn’t deal with another powdered egg free breakfast. It is in a strip mall by CVS, not immediately visible to the street. We got seated immediately, the staff was super friendly and sweet to my kids. Prices were amazing! Like $ 1.70 for my kid’s Mickey Mouse pancake(50 cents more for whipped cream) and it was HUGE. I got an omelet with a piece of french toast; it came with hash browns. Also huge! My son got the All you can eat French toast for $ 4.99(he couldn’t eat more than his initial serving, which was 6 pieces). It came out really fast, too.
