The Beer Peddlers

It’s no doubt that having this beer store next to the wine store has eased my I-​hate-​PA-​Liquor-​Laws face. Honestly, before moving to Philly, I haven’t had to work this hard to get booze since I was seventeen. Driving a million and one places to get stocked for Friday night just increases the drinking habit. Which, if this was the government’s master plan to increase sales, then (slow clap) BRAVO.
This store is fairly large but not as big as the Bella Vista Beer Distributors. It sells mostly cases and some half-​cases with an excellent selection of cans. They have a few choice cases that are cold in their refrigerators for immediate consumption. When I went in, it was clear they had been hit hard for the holidays and didn’t have ample time to stock up, but were extremely nice and helpful anyway.
The only thing that would knock this place out of the park for me would be to make some fridge space for individual bottles. I really like being able to create my own six packs especially when I’m stocking up for my low-​key-​one-​beer-​days. And I would say that has been Philly’s newest trend– all these bottle shops popping up in neighborhoods. For now, I’ll come here if I’m looking for a place to easy park to get a case of something and go to the wine store next door.

Great selection, great location and great people. A welcomed edition to the neighborhood and a beautiful shop. With kegs and craft beers in 12 packs, and soon to have tastings, it’s a great place to go and expand your beer palate. And with wine and spirits right next door, it’s one of the only places to can get one stop shopping (and with parking!) in Philly.

Welcome and long time coming addition. Managed to make it in last week on their first day open. A week later, with New Years a few days away, I’m back.
With Fine Wine & Goods next door, perfect way to kill two birds with one stone. It couldn’t be more convenient, especially with plenty of parking.
The store is clean and bright with a decent selection. With time and turnover, the store has the potential to come to age for all seasons of beer.
