I’m sure you’ve probably never heard of this place before. It’s a local bar. This review is not for the bar itself. Rather, it is strictly for the beer take-out shop located at the walk up at 6th& Moore. Beer here is cheap! Very cheap. Two 40’s of Hurricane(at least as of earlier in 2009) will run you $ 4. Now that’s a deal. Don’t expect a lush variety of microbrews or Brooklyn Lager. There’s Colt 45, there’s Old E. They also have 32 ouncers of Yuengling Lager. But before all you hipsters pedal your fixies down here keep in mind this bar is in one of the rougher corridors of South Philly. You exchange your money through bulletproof glass, and this neighborhood does have guns, drugs, and violence. In fact I do recall a shooting outside of this bar last summer. Also FYI if you’re white and afraid, you’ll probably be a minority. But that never stopped me from getting a good deal!
