Excellent, fast friendly service, food was very good and spice level exactly as i asked, i would recommend sweet rice to anyone.

Very friendly and helpful service. Good food. Clean and quiet setting. We had the chicken pad thai and pork panang curry. I personally prefer a little more spice in my thai dishes, but they do have condiment trays available to add spiciness as desired. Super convenient to the W&OD Bike trail

Sweet Rice is a solid Thai option if you’re looking for a quiet place in Falls Church that can accommodate adventurous and not-so-adventurous palates. They have been working out the kinks over the years, including a renovation(hello Edison lights), and adding dinner specials. For a while the food was so-so… I found it to be too sweet for my taste. But they’ve continued working on it and now the food is consistently balanced and cooked to the diner’s preference for spice level. Service has improved a great deal as well. Plus they’re really nice people! The other night it was slammed, so word must be getting out.

Bee was so friendly and courteous even when she had to deal with a difficult customer. She made sure we were satisfied with our meal and we all answered with a definitive, «Yes!» We are even taking it home. Wish we could take Bee home with us!

My husband and I decided to try this place because my daughter was raving about how much she loves it. She was right it was amazing. The crispy duck was really good. The mango sticky rice is a new favorite of ours as well.

Came here on a week night for dinner. There were only 2 other customers here on a 8PM week night. The interior of the restaurant was well decorated. I liked the look and feel of the place. It was welcoming. The waitress was very friendly as she greeted us with a very genuine bright smile. She was prompt and courteous in taking our orders. Food: we ordered the duck curry dish and it was good. Not the best I’ve had in the area. Crispy Duck: This dish actually came out really salty and we couldn’t finish it. I think they must’ve accidentally out too much salt on this or something. Dessert: Taro Custard — This was probably my favorite item from this visit. It was really good! They felt bad about the crispy duck and gave this dish to us on the house. Horray for great customer service! Overall, I think I would come back to try again since my time here was a pleasant one.

This is my favourite Thai place in the area. The servers are friendly and the food is amazing. I highly recommend the pad see ew. The service is quick and the interior has undergone a renovation so it’s very aesthetically pleasing :)

The tara place down the street sent me shrimp even though I said I was allergic to seafood. This place was very careful and made sure no seafood was included

This«Thai» restaurant is so bad that it is inedible. I ordered delivery from this restaurant with poor ratings because the primary customer to be fed was a picky tween who prefers bland Asian food. This food overshot the mark, though — incredibly bland, incredibly greasy, and with appetizers served with sauces worse than anything you could get out of a jar. The soup seemed to be an unfortunate combination of water, grease, and hot sauce. I couldn’t bring myself to even try the main course.

Decent, nothing amazing. Nice staff and goo location and fast turnaround, but quality of food is good, not great.

I had left a previous review on Sweet Rice and it was not a positive experience. One of the store mangers, Mr. Punner, contacted me to apologize for bad service and offered me a free meal to Make for the it. This time around the driver delivered the meal promptly and the food tasted great. Kudos to the excellent customer service.

This place is horrible horrible! I had a very disappointing experience. We ordered the duck rolls because we loved it in other Thai restaurant. However, when it came, it looked like there was a lot fried duck inside, but when I looked carefully, I noticed it’s actually FRIEDEGG which was fried into crispy dark brown so it looks like duck. I was like: Are you kidding me? Do you think I cannot tell duck from egg? All other dishes also not well tasted, some had no taste and some was extremely salty.

Takeout quality Thai food. In other words, probably good enough to curb your Thai noodle craving, but not great. This place — like all the other Asian places in town– seems to be run by Chinese people catering to tamer suburban tastes. The sauces skew sweeter than usual, and the spicy dishes don’t have much kick. I’d give them a third star if the food were fresher. Last time I got takeout, the steamed vegetable side was full of tired cabbage and stale carrots, and the brown rice was full of black spots(ugh!). Stick to the noodle dishes and don’t bother shelling out the extra $ 2 for brown rice.

I love this place! well-priced, especially for the quality and quantity of food you get. It’s always really delicious. The two qualms I have about this place is that 1) their Thai iced tea is like 70% ice, and 2) their delivery boy gave me a VERY sassy attitude because he himself couldn’t follow delivery instructions(I specified for him to use a building entry code to get into the building, as I don’t have my phone on me sometimes, but he called me a few times and I didn’t pick up because my phone wasn’t with me, so when I did come outside and saw him, he literally swung my bag of food at me and slammed his car door after just saying«UGH. MYGOSH»). Their drunken noodle with chicken is my favorite. Their crispy pork appetizer is also very tasty, but it was also slightly soggy when I got mine delivered. This is my go-to Thai food establishment!

Sweet Rice Thai is one of my go-to lunch places in Falls Church. The service is always friendly and attentive and the changing lunch specials force me out of my pad-thai comfort zone. The ambiance is relaxed but quiet. Often its small groups or pairs sharing a quick lunch. They are never super crowded, so I feel that I can relax and also that I’m not being rushed to turn over the table. If I don’t grab a lunch special, I often choose the Panang Chicken and follow it up with a Mango Sticky Rice. They use black rice here which creates a beautiful appearance. The Thai Iced Tea is well-made and not the quick style. The way they make it is quite nice and well presented in a goblet-like glass. Parking is in the lot on the side. Although the signs say that it is limited to an hour, I think this must be for no patrons. Typically, I will stay at least an hour for lunch and have never had issues with towing or being prompted to move the car. It is a quiet place, but they are quite polite to children.

As a world traveller I enjoy a quiet lunch from time to time. There is nothing more pleasing than an uplifting venue, a friendly face and food that meets my expectation. I’ve often wanted to see what Sweet Rice was about and randomly it was my day… car being serviced. I ordered the large soup with chicken and delivered was a light brothed, unbelievably fresh, large caldron of noodles, veggies and chicken. For me… perfect.

They are open and finished with renovations. Looks nice inside. The thai iced tea size for take out is smaller than I would like.

After I hung up from ordering from Sweet Rice tonight, I realized that, after enjoying Sweet Rice since we moved here in 2006, I have never written a Unilocal review of it! We have gotten delivery on average once/twice a month for a few years, and before that, we’d physically go into the restaurant both with(but mostly without) kids. Initially, we would order Pad Thai Pak(chock full of fresh veggies) and Pad See-Ew; a couple years ago we switched to the curry after a friend ordered Panang Curry while at our house, and we haven’t gone back. Cashew Chicken is also a favorite. In nine years, we’ve had incredibly consistent good and excellent experiences, the food delicious, incredible service in-restaurant, and amazingly fast delivery… I’ll never forget this past winter, on three occasions the delivery man warned us «not to come out – roads were way too icy or snowy to travel”-and yet our food arrived hot! Now it’s the only Thai place in Falls Church we eat.

I’ve dined in and gotten takeout several times from here and haven’t had a single bad experience. I personally love their food and the hot, big portions they give you while dining in are really delicious. There is a bit of a wait for food, but they have good customer service and a really beautiful interior. The decorations on the walls and comfy booths make it a really enjoyable experience. This is the one place I go to for Thai in Falls Church.

I ordered carry-out from this place. The food was just too sweet for my taste. The noodles were also just a little too overdone. But the service was prompt, the food was ready in 20min from when i called, and the dining room was also very nice from what I saw. The mango sticky rice was also sub-par.
