Not the best but not the worst. There food is average. Their sweet and sour sauce looks like water with food coloring has no taste at all. Stick with their general tao chicken.

This place is now CLOSED(thank heavens). Asian Recipes is opening in its place which from the 3 Unilocal reviews so far, looks to be quite the ray of sunshine back at this address.

The quality of the food got worse until they finally closed down. Yes, Chopsticks Restaurant is closed. Asian Recipes will open in its place eventually per a sign hanging out front of the restaurant.

So… my co-workers and I decided we wanted some Chinese Takeout. We chose this place over 2 others because we thought it’d all be the same. But yo, it ain’t. I get sweet and sour pork every restaurant I go to. And man, it was a disappointment. Big time! It was rough and not crispy. The sweet and sour sauce is the most thin I’ve had. Overall the taste was bleh. Even the rice was subpar. I would’ve only given this place 1 star, but my co-worker justified at least 2 stars… …at least the fortune cookie was good =|

The food was just so, so. I wanted to try this place because it has Thai and my husband is OK with Thai, just not Chinese. We tried the Red Curry and the Pad Thai. They were both really bland. I had asked for my Red Curry to be mild spicy and it was, but I didn’t mean for the flavor to disappear. There was also some questionable chicken I laid aside. It was worth a try, but we won’t be ordering from them again. Save your money if you like taste.

I actually would have to disagree with most of the posts here. My boyfriend and I really enjoy this food, as do our friends that have tried it based on our recommendation. The delivery time is quite fast, even on the weekends(several times they have overestimated and we’ve had it arrive in half the time we were told). The food has always tasted very fresh, and doesn’t leave you feeling gross and heavy afterwards(as some horrible places tend to do). It’s very light on the oil and grease factor, and has no MSG. It was genuinely tasty, well-prepared, and again fresh. The food also reheats very well, which is not something I can say for many places. I have not had the sushi here, but I have had both their Chinese and Thai options. Their thai basil curry is tasty, albeit very mild. I think their real strengths are in the szechuan and hunan cuisines, as compared to shandong(see someone else’s review about the poorly made soup) or huiayang(sweet and sour chicken, etc). And for those afraid of heat, their hotter dishes haven’t been all that spicy — the flavor they pack is totally worth bearing some heat, I might say. My only main downer here is that they only provide you with 2 or 3 sauce packets, so be sure to ask for extra if you want more. Otherwise, really solid place.

First, this restaurant is not closed. Takeout only, although they do have a couple tables there. This is my go to takeout place, as it is the best option in the area, in my opinion. Would stay away from sushi, as there are better sushi options in downtown falls church. Crispy shrimp or beef schezhuan proper is always delicious. I’ve had better Chinese elsewhere, so I would only recommend this place if the location is convenient for you.

Absolutely disgusting. I made the mistake of picking up my order 15 mins early. I had the misfortune of watching them cook my meal, taste my food several times with the same cooking spoon and use some oil sitting in a bucket on the kitchen floor to cook with. I was amazed that this restaurant was actually serving this food. I complained about the cook tasting my food with the same spit spoon, the owner simply said that the cook has two spoons, one to taste with and the other to cook with. I ended up going home empty handed that night. As far as sushi, hells no! If you want to poison yourself by eating fish that has sat around a warm room all day, this is the place to test your luck. Where’s a good sanity inspector when you need one?

This place is terrible. Unilocal has it as a Japanese restaurant but they serve Chinese and Thai. My friend loves this place but he obviously clueless on what fast food Chinese should taste like. Everyone knows that fast food chinese should have great lo mein, fried rice and chicken wings. Fail on all accounts. I also ordered hot and sour soup that tasted like hot water with filler. I didn’t even finish the soup. Lastly, what the heck did they bread the chicken wing with? Eww…

Liked this place when it first opened about 2 years ago. And had been a regular semi-monthly customer averaging $ 40. My last delivery orders were below quality though. They changed their menu to exclude the Japanese part which they could never get right anyway. Just today, there was an error on my bill total. Lady claimed it was a computer problem. They should stop taking orders till they fix it right? Especially since they were overcharging. WATCHYOURBILL, it seemed to me that the discrepancy was 5% additional exclusive of the 5% sales tax. Well the food sucked volume-wise. They are now doing what most other Chinese takeouts do, flood your order with onions and peppers, etc. that disproportionately outnumber whatever it is you ordered, whether beef, pork or shrimp. They tried to pacify me with a «free» appetizer for the overcharge, but I said if I’m paying for it, it’s not really free is it? SOWATCHYOURBILL. I’m done with them, they’ve completely deteriorated. They now cater to the American palate unlike before. It ain’t Chinese for sure. Am still debating whether I should report them regarding the overcharge.

I’ve gone here a handful of times, the chinese food is up to par and the sushi can be bad or good depending on the day you go. Its a great place to order delivery when your strap for time and looking for a decent priced dinner with fast delivery.

Not very appealing dining area, but the food was surprisingly good. Prices were pretty decent… not super cheap, but not overly pricey. I’m sure it’s probably ideal for take-out.

Average chinese. The pu pu platter was just ok. The spring rolls were just cabbage, nothing else inside. The chicken was a bit stringy and overcooked. The orange chicken was decent, as was the sesame chicken. We went to eat in, which is a mistake because they’re really setup as a takeout place. They only have four tables, all of which were covered by menus they were mailing out. Service was slow and pretty inattentive, which is a little surprising given we were the only ones there, but perhaps not given that they clearly weren’t used to eat-in customers. Overall, not bad, but just a pretty mediocre experience.

Great little place. It’s tiny, and noting fantastic in the area of décor, but the fish has always been fresh for me(I order from this place twice a week and have been for about 10 weeks.) I highly recommend this place if you want a nice, quick, affordable sushi dinner. The place is simple, but the food is really great. Note: The restaurant was only given a four due to their limited seating, but as for the food and the quality of their fish(I’m really picky when it comes to the quality and temperature my fish is served) is exceptional. Also, staff is really nice and even offered to teach us how to properly roll sushi after we discussed with them that we’re trying to make our own sushi at home.

I had the kung pao chicken and spring rolls both were really good. They give big portions! Also, I had the dragon rolls and they were great! Price is not bad. Service was a little slow, but other then that great place.

The dragon maki was excellent. The california maki lacked flavor, but since it was free, I can’t complain. Be sure to look at their online menu before you order so you can mention their coupons. The avocado maki was good, the avocado was fresh. The philadelphia rolls weren’t my cup of tea because the smoked salmon was too«smoked» for my tastes, but if that’s what you like, they’re probably perfect for you. The red pork curry was flavorful, had great veggies, but the meat was fatty. All of this cost 29 bucks plus tip. We got delivery. It took 30 – 40 minutes and we live ten minutes away. The guy who took our order understood everything I said and repeated my order to make sure everything was correct. They accept credit cards. I’ll probably try this place again because of the dragon maki, but at 8.95/roll, I probably will go back to Sushi Yama whenever I go out. However, this will probably be the place for sushi delivery.

Try the Dragon Rolls!!! I’ve only come here a few times and always for takeout. I’ve enjoyed it every time. They have a large selection for sushi which is freshly made. They also have Chinese and Thai selections which I have yet to try. I’ve mainly made this one of my Sushi takeout stops. I can’t say enough TRYTHEDRAGONROLLS!!!
