If you’re looking for breakfast for dinner, this is the place to go. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and this location wasn’t crowded even on a Saturday night. The pancakes are quite large, so be careful getting a large stack unless you want leftovers. The restaurant is definitely more inviting and accommodating than the larger chains.

It’s a fine place. The omelets/potatoes filled the plate(which, for almost $ 15.00 each, they should). The egg and cheese sandwich(ask for two eggs) was tasty and worth every penny. The Belgian waffles were large and tasty. The biggest disappointment, I have to say, were the pancakes. They were tasty, but not at all special or sizable. You’d expect much better from a place with this advertisement campaign. You’ll find any quality diner in the tri-state area serving up pancakes that are just as good, if not better(thicker/larger). They should rethink the presentation on this flagship food item.

Service is usually good, some good specials usually available, food is good but could be better. Large selection of pancakes but they are a bit on the heavy side.

For great pancakes this resturant can’t be beat. A must for breakfast. The omelets are also 4 star. Much better than any diner in the region. Nothing fancy just a great place for a family breakfast.

My husband, friend, and I were driving to Salem, Massachusetts when we decided we were all hungry. So, we stopped at Chip’s! I had the strawberry shortcake pancakes. They were absolutely delicious. The strawberry compote was carefully layered over each pancake. My first bite was absolutely amazing. I asked for my leftovers to go. When I reheated them, I was absolutely amazed that they held up perfectly! Just a few seconds in the microwave brought them back to almost their same state, only just slightly more saturated with flavor. Not soggy, either! I want to stop next time I drive up. It. was. amazing.

Yuck, taste like microwaved Pancakes devoid of flavor. Eggs were not seasoned Bacon was ehh. Didn’t even finish 1 of my short stack. I always finish what is in front of me. Like Pizza Hut for pizza. Cheap garbage

Sunday mornings when I was a bit younger were always made when my parents took us to chips in Orange… Then as an adult my dreams we’re answered when they opened up in Fairfield. I would try to make it here as often as possible and each time the service has declined. I’ll paint the picture for you… It’s Labor day I have the day off and my girlfriend wants to treat me to Chips as a man I gratefully accepted. But to my surprise the morning would be long. Our waiter was not seen for atleast 15 minutes and we places our order with a waiter passing by, and when he finally arrived he made no eye contact and seem a bit stressed. It took about 20 minutes to get our appetizer which were the buffalo chicken potatoe skins which lacked any effort what so ever and should be taken off the menu. I ordered my usual cornbeef hash, scramble eggs with cheese and pancakes which is always good. My girlfriend ordered the brisket which was a total fail they looked like old bacon strips. But the manager quickly switched it out. The pancakes were a little off.

If you are ever in the mood for bacon pancakes, you found your place. This restaurant is like a friendly’s but instead of the sundaes they have every type of pancake combination imaginable. Just be mindful that if you want their all natural syrup, which costs more, they’ll give you a tiny bottle. A restaurant that specializes in pancakes shouldn’t be stingy on the quality maple syrup. Beyond that, the food was tasty and portions were big. Good for families, kids will love. Diner style with diner prices.

Seriously mediocre. Breakfast at one pm. Toast blah-old?. Feta cheese omelette with just specks of feta. One long flat eggs scrambled and folded over. Home fries highlight of meal-what does that say?

It’s actually a good sign when line for Sunday breakfast extends well out the front door. Even better how quickly the line moves and how attentive the host was to checking on us all, confirming party size and keeping things moving. I go out mostly in search of good home fries and hash browns in the area and these are as good as any. Close to the best I’ve had. Headline here is the pancakes. If you love them fluffy and light with many choices this is your place. Service friendly and attentive. Will add to my list of Fairfield breakfast stops.

My fiancé ordered the chicken waffle breakfast special for 15 bucks… he got TWO chicken tenders what looked like to be only an egg, and a Belgium waffle… he had to order a second meal because the plate brought out looked like peasant scraps… was a joke for the price paid. could get the same at duchess down the road for half the price. wont be back, not impressed at all-and if you are a person who likes water refilled with their meals without hounding your server, don’t get your hopes up high here.

My fiancé and I stopped here on our way to and from Boston and had the best pancakes ever! We come from Jersey, the land of Greek Diners, and Chips is far better than any of them. We had the German Apple, Cinabon, and the Choc a Holic pancakes. They were so good!!! And their omelets are just as delicious. We’ve been spoiled and now as we drive home I’m mad that New Jersey has no diners to compare to this!

I went here on a Sunday morning and although the line was literally out the door, the wait wasn’t long. The waitress was attentive and took our order quickly. It took a little long for the food to come out due to the crowded restaurant, but everything was delicious(chocolate chip pancakes, banana pancakes, crispy bacon). Good for families especially with their extensive menu. Will most likely be back!

Wow! We had a great breakfast. Our server Karen was so much fun and attentive. The coffee was great. I had egg white with avocado and spinach and bacon — yum! Hun had waffles with strawberries and eggs Benedict. His plate was shiny clean when he was done. Nice clean brute and homey ! We highly recommend !

OK, this is not fine dining. It does not have the vast selection of a diner. The services is friendly and fast. Great place with the family. The food was fast and tasty. Pancakes come with basically everything. The cinnabon pancakes were amazing, I doubt they were healthy but oh so good. I am a fan becuase it is consistent and good quality food and service.

Best place for breakfast in Fairfield(maybe even Fairfield county). I always look at the specials first — they come with both eggs and pancakes. The portions are great — I always leave with a meal for later. There is ALWAYS a line but it moves fast — especially for a party of 2. In the winter avoid the tables close to the door bc the doors are sometimes left open by the people in line. Service is better than a typical dinner. My favorite is the California eggs Benedict(made with avocado) or the other Benedict that’s made with a little Mexican flair(beans and chorizo). In terms of pancakes I love the coconut crunch, key lime, Cinnabon, Caramel and apple, Heath bar, etc. There really isn’t a bad combo. If you like the topping on its own don’t be shy — they really know how to pair items in pancakes. I also love the Popeyes omelet(spinach feta and egg whites). The waffles are also very good. I love the hot chocolate too!

I gotta say … 40 different types of pancakes is right up my alley! The food was really good. The service was great. Our waitress was very nice and really friendly. The place was packed but they seated us quickly. And the price was not bad at all. I was able to get single pancakes because I was craving blueberry and strawberry so I got 2 of each, along with bacon and sausage patties. My friend got the butterscotch pancakes, short stack. 2 coffees. The bill was 30 bucks. Cannot complain … Id def recommend you to try them out :)

My current stay really sucked. I was offer dirty utensils and coffee cup. My waitress was not sincere about the issue and this will serve as my last visit to chips. We sat and waited for her to address our presence. Me personally, I require professional services on a continuous basis.

Great menu. Delicious food. Best pancakes on the planet! Something for almost everyone. There are some«healthy» options but not really anything for vegans. Friendly waiters and waitresses. Bright, clean restaurant. Bring the whole family !
