We visited Chuck E Cheese’s in Fairfax on 2÷12÷16. My children and I had a wonderful time! There were maybe three other families when we got there and about ten families when we left, and no birthday parties. The place is old but I thought it was really clean. The drink station, bathrooms, tables, floor, and games were all clean. I didn’t see any trash, food, or shoes anywhere. Of course this could be due to the time of our visit. Here’s my only complaint: when our food was brought to us, I asked for ketchup and crushed red pepper. The woman said you have to ask for that when you order. I said«I didn’t know that; could you get me some crushed red pepper and ketchup?» and she flatly said«no». I was sitting there with three kids under the age of 5, and I already mentioned it wasn’t busy, and she couldn’t get me ketchup?! Lame!

This is the 2nd time my kid went to that location and the 2nd time he came back with a stomach flu! His buddy also has the same. How, just how do you mess up chicken fingers and cheese pizza? The place overall is extremely dirty, they clean up after you catch a staff member and point him to spillages and leftovers. It’s just plain nasty. If you value your kids’ health, do not come to this place. I also recommend Fairfax County Department of Public Works pay them a visit.

WARNING!!! This review is purely related to the feigned attempt at «security» Chuck E. Cheese calls«Kid Check.» I take great issue with this system because it is no system at all, and my concern is that it may lead parents to a false sense of security. Now, I understand that parents are absolutely responsible for their own kids’ safety, nobody will dispute that. My concern is this«fake» layer of security may be counter productive and cause parents to let their guard down. Admittedly, it made me feel a little more relaxed trying to chase my two kids down at one time. The website claims under their«promise to parents» that the system is in place so that«Every member of a party — adult and kid; family or group — who enters Chuck E. Cheese’s gets a unique hand stamp that is verified upon their exit to assist in our objective that families who come together leave together.» Sadly, this was not the case during our visit, and upon speaking to management, there are many ways to get around this system. My son walked out the door with his grandparents. These grandparents had arrived separately from us and never received a stamp of any kind, as they entered with no children. They in turn were permitted to leave together because my son said they were his grandparents. I was told by management that sometimes they also accept proof of a connection if the adults have a cell phone photo. I hope you are tracking my concern here. The last statistic I saw, something like 49% of kidnappings are by a relative. Who the child would agree to knowing. And who would have a high probability of having a picture of the victim on their phone. I can only say that Chuck E Cheese has been lucky thus far to have not been the setting of a kidnapping. I was very appreciative that the GM «reviewed the security video» to determine where the lapse was, but unfortunately it turns out it is the corporate policy on the process that is lacking. I was basically told they followed policy, thanks for coming. I hope Chuck E. Cheese will reexamine their Kid Check program, and either make it work or eliminate it. As it stands now, it can not even be considered a deterrent and may only serve to create a false sense of security. Please be aware!

So I came in on 9⁄26 let me start by saying that the cashier was nice and friendly. So we found a table which was nasty. It was sticky and dirty I asked someone if they could clean it no one ever came. I went to get my son and myself a drink the fountain were nasty the floor was sticky my feet were sticking to the floor. I do understand that it’s a Saturday afternoon but come on they could at least have someone wipe the tables down and clean the floor of trash and spilt soda. My son and niece went into the tube and cameo and told me that it sticks really bad. For the amount of money that they make on the weekends with birthday parties and just people walking in they should really start taking better care of the cleaning of this place

Came on a Wednesday evening to burn off some of the kid’s energy. I can proudly say this is the best Chuck E Cheese I have ever been too. The staff went above and beyond to help me, the salad bar was beautifully done with super fresh veggies, the entire place was immaculate, and all the games where in running order. I will be back again on a week day.

I don’t think they ever clean the machines and kids play houses? There was someone’s used napkin and dirt that’s built up for years in the kids slide area. It’s so dirty everywhere even in the bathroom trash can is full and trash all around the floor it wasn’t even busy there today!!! Lettuce at the salad bar was so old, pizza was okay. Wings were okay too. Not going back to this location.

This place sucks. The games are dumb and no fun. The air hockey machine blatantly stole our coins and the machines were old and dirty. It is also really small.

Brought my daughter here on a Sunday. This place is just the worst. It’s so dirty smh the soda station is just filthy and most of the games had trash and soda cups around it. We took pictures in the sketch booth thing and my 1 year old spotted a cup on the floor and tried to pick it up. I can’t fully blame the staff because as a parent I wouldn’t allow my child to just drop trash anywhere other than the trash can. But obviously it’s the staffs job. You would think because of the area that this one would actually be an OK location but NO. Won’t be returning… my experience at the location in Alexandria was a lot more pleasant than this one.

Worst pizza at any chuckles I’ve ever tasted. Waiting to get something for your child’s tickets takes forever!!!

Yeah, I’m with Meredith V. What’s with the super critical, sometimes hateful, nasty comments? This is Chuck E Cheese. It’s not an elite daycare facility, people… From what I could see, the staff were doing the best that they could under what I would consider trying conditions. As described in others’ comments, kids are running around everywhere, a trillion birthday parties are going on at once, so much is happening… These hard-working Chuck E Cheese employees are constantly clearing tables, cutting and serving cakes on behalf of parents, getting items, running to and fro, and handling more than the average person should have to handle in such a setting. This place is probably most ideal for kids ages 3 – 5. They have lots of games targeting children in this age group. Littler ones might like some of the rides or offerings and older kids through 10 will still be entertained. If you’re looking for a one-stop shop for food(what kid doesn’t like pizza?), entertainment, and service, then Chuck E Cheese is probably your best bet. Just tone down your expectations if this is your first time booking a Chuck E Cheese event. Seats will be grimy. Bathrooms will show evidence of frequent use by potty-trained and non-potty-trained visitors. Pizza will not be amazing… Again, it’s Chuck E Cheese. It’s convenient. It’s dependable. And it’s got a winning formula for your easily entertained and just as easily miffed kiddo. Some have complained about management, about things like shoes being all over the place and no place to put them. The shoe situation is a valid concern. Not sure what solution, if any, they’ll come up with in the future. I don’t think the shoes alone, though, are a dealbreaker. At the end of the day, parents should be watching their kids and if the shoe thing is that bothering, then just stay clear of that untidy area. Various other game areas looked orderly enough to me.

What’s with all the fussy reviews? Come on people, it’s kids running around the place hopped up on soda and pizza, it’s going to be a shit show. I was actually pretty impressed with the organization of the front desk staff and the cleanliness of the salad bar. I considered eating lunch here(with my 18month and 3 yr old) but decided dealing with pizza and a salad bar was going to be too much. I would advise packing sammies or waiting until you get home, just not worth the dramz. We did not encounter any out of service games or machines and Chuckee came out on cue to dance with the kids and throw out free tickets, it was too cute. Yes it was packed. Yes the kids were running wild. It’s Chuckee Flipping Cheese. You know what to expect. Otherwise, I found this facility to be great and would return again.

CROWDED-Broken machines-Jungle Gym over capacity-Pizza was good, but soooo tiny-drinks overpriced. Just too much stimulation. Too Loud. Sticky. LONG line to get food. Long wait for food. Tripped over all the shoes laying around. Can’t they get a storage bin system for the shoes? Some older machines that took 2 seconds and my money. Bad experience all around. Won’t be back!

We had our daughter’s birthday party here. She’d give it five stars and I guess that’s the most important review. I felt like we were on a conveyor belt of birthday parties with about eight other parties taking place simultaneously. Pizza time, check. The birthday kid plays guitar with Chuck E, check. Here comes the cake, check. Don’t start singing Happy Birthday until all tables are ready. Okay, every cake’s candles are lit, sing! Now we eat cake, check. Ticket blaster, check. Okay kids, go play! I mean, they get over 100 kids through all of that in about 30 minutes, so good on them. It was very rushed and impersonal. But every one of my kid’s friends left wanting their next party there so obviously they enjoyed it. As for food and service, pretty good. I didn’t have high expectations. Our«party hostess» disappeared for 10 minutes at a time, which wasn’t helpful. All that being said, it was worth the price, the kids had fun, and my daughter passed out in the car home. I would recommend having a child’s birthday party there, for sure. Just know it will be utter madness and totally generic.

I feel like they’ve taken away some of the popular machines there. And a lot of the machines are either down or out of tickets and there were no staff around

OK pizza, salad bar is fresh and well-tended, and the kids have a blast. Not Mom’s first choice for a night out but a nice treat for kids. It’s had some upgrades recently. Always noisy but what do you expect?

Eh, I’m not up nor down about this place. I mean what do you expect? It’s a KIDS playground/eatery. I see lots of complaints about how gross it is and I agree, ive been in the bathroom and have feared for my health but ultimately it’s the type of people they hire. No hardworking adult is going to want to work here, so they hire teens to run the place. Plus, it’s kinda creepy when I bring my little sis and they have high schoolers in there playing games and just hanging out. Isn’t there an age restriction?? Pizzas good though, I wish they delivered.

Management here has a lot of little opportunities to make little changes here that would make a big difference: –kids shoes all over the ground because there is no place to put them(safety hazard) –no lost and found box or process(you forget something here, good luck) –some of the machines are broken –hand sanitizer –machines could be wiped down –a vacuum with a hepa filter to reduce the dust mites in the carpet and improve the air quality –Food quality and freshness

Bad management, in this picture you can see the shoes all over the floor, it’s actually better than most days, when it’s busy ppl step on shoes, so I talked to the manager, I suggested a shoe rack, just like the one you see in any other playground, she said they used to have one, but because some lady was complaining that her daughter’s shoes were stollen, they paid her(I have no idea how they have valued it) so they decided to remove the rack as solution ?! seriously !!!

I’d rather take my child to Fresh Kills Landfill before it closed! Unless you ‘re having a birthday party the staff could care less about you! This is area has a high cost of living and the restaurant starts its staff at minimum wage! You get what you pay for. The food is substandard. Even the salad bar tastes like homeless man’s underwear! The overall cleanliness is zero. One Sunday I clocked how long before the staff would clean up the table behind me. I stopped my stopwatch after 40 minutes! The garbage is overflowing, tables not wiped down and forget about the bathrooms! Sometimes you see 3 managers on duty and the joint is still in chaos. To top it all off the stores raised the prices for tokens! I bring my daughter to Kids Junction. It’s cleaner, cheaper, and keep out the riff raff with a cover charge for each child!

I would seriously rather eat shards of glass covered in hot sauce while jamming flaming hot forks in my eyes than endure another second in this place. We were there on a Monday night for a birthday party. We were the only birthday party here. Tables were a mess, outside of those reserved for our group. The game areas were a mess(food left ON games, many games not working). Food was meh– pizza okay. My child would not touch her lemonade. Cake was like sugar coated cardboard, and the ice cream didn’t taste right. If I wasn’t pregnant, I would have partaken in the beer available just to make my two hours bearable. My biggest complaint was with the total chaos. Kids are left totally unattended by their parents. Parents who could not be bothered to supervise their children, and when they are confronted with their misbehaving child, pretend not to speak English. During the birthday party, several mothers spent their time chasing off kids who were not part of the party, who just decided that they were invited to join. Ages 3 through about 9 or 10. After the party part, back on the game floor kids are running around, knocking other children over, sometimes shoving them out of the way of games they are already playing. While picking my child up off the floor after being knocked down by a kid that felt the dancing game was for him so he jumped right in front/on top of my 4 year old, another child came along and helped herself to the tokens right in front of me. When I scolded the kid for stealing, she ran off and her father just looked and shrugged. When a manager was called to find parents of these wild and rude kids, not only did THEY not seem to care, the parents didn’t care. Welcome to our future… lots of kids allowed to run wild and behave like the little a-holes they will be as adults. I told my daughter that we are never, ever going back. If I want to be mobbed and be responsible for tons of ill-behaved children who’s parents can not be bothered to discipline them, I’d get a job as a Fairfax County school teacher. I had been to this location 8 years ago for a birthday party for another child, and I don’t remember it being as awful as it is now. Never, ever again. Sorry kids.
