Steve and Barry’s

After reading about Steve & Barry’s in the Seattle Times, I decided to take a look for myself. Everything in the store is $ 8.98, doesn’t matter if it’s a pair of pants of a plain T-​shirt. They have some lines of clothing designed by stars (SJP& Amanda Bynes) and some athletes (Venus Williams, Ben Wallace, Laird Hamilton & Bubba Watson). For all the big names, I was disappointed in the styles and selection. It was a bit like a uniform store. There was a lot of button up oxford shirts and collared short sleeve shirts as well as more khakis than I can count! It reminded me of old school Gap. It’s still a cool store for the basics and some funny t-​shirts but they are lacking on the creativity of the designs of clothing.

I came here specifically for the new Sarah Jessica Parker line. My home girl from AK came down for a shopping spree and we were phsyked to check out SJP’s stuff, especially since nothing is over $ 20.
Being big Sex in the City fans, we were a little disappointed in the selection. It was little bit more Plain Jane than we were expecting. You are definitely getting the quality of the $ 20 price line. The items seemed to be poorly made BUT the styles are definitely modern and being the super busty self that I am, I actually found a great Pea coat that fit and didn’t make my bewbies look disproportionate to the rest of my body, as they are.
It was refreshing to spend $ 250 and have half of a new wardrobe but it was lacking in imagination and I’m not quite sure how long the said ‘half of a new wardrobe’ will last?!
