Pepper’s is a Mexican restaurant located near Estes Park downtown area. I’ve been here twice and ordered the Beef enchiladas and a chicken burrito. For the price, the portion size is really good! The quality of the food was lacking though and the service was rushed and not so friendly. If you are looking for a quick, affordable place to get Mexican in Estes park, Pepper’s is a good choice.

Every time i come to Estes Park, this is where I come. It’s a great price, a lot of food. And if you want spicy, they will not pull any punches. One of the few mexican places that I go to that has sweet potatoes as a side too. I always get the tacos so some day I will have to try out their other food but I can’t help myself. I love tacos.

A fast fresh restaurant far better than Chipotle and Qdoba combined. One of the servers was so stoic I’m not sure a kick in the face would have phased him. The margarita was $ 5, but you get what you pay for. Everything was plastic, so the rounded out the fast food feel. All the negative being said and out of the way, the food was very, very tasty. I wouldn’t call it Mexican outright, but it was far more flavorful than modern style Mexican food. I would go back, for sure.

Really glad we gave this place a try! I got the buffalo nachos and they were probably the best nachos I’ve ever had. Very fresh, very fast, very friendly. Prices were decent($ 8 for my nachos). Also I have a soy allergy and didn’t get sick at all from eating here. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing too, they have a bar you can sit at to look out the window and enjoy the view. The fresh guacamole is worth the extra cost!

This place is great. Buffalo meat has a nice, juicy flavor. The Roja sauce is amazing. Pico… best I ever had. I don’t like Pico de Gallo… it’s always overpowering. This was perfect.

Ok if you are looking to order at the counter and eat mediocre Mexican food while sitting on uncomfortable patio furniture.

Decent order at the counter style Mexican if you are in Estes Park. Hubs had the pork quesadilla and I had crunchy beef tacos. Both were pretty good. The tomatillo salsa was the stand out item here. Good spice and flavor. Not a lot of options for beverages if you want an alcoholic drink. 2 cider options and a soda machine. Friendly staff and clean.

Really good Mexican food for a Mexican joint outside of Texas. It is cafeteria style and you eat out of an aluminum carrier with plastic forks. Didn’t really care for that, but the food really is good. They are quick and friendly. The menu is sufficiently varied that all should find what they want. The white habanero queso is amazing. They claim it is spicy and maybe for some it is so, but I found it rather mild. However that doesn’t stop the taste. It was awesome. Enchiladas were perfect although the rice and beans were a tad bland for my tastes but that is just being nitpicky. If you are hankering for Mexican this place will hit the spot.

This place is similar to Chipotle, though not as good. Not bad, though lacking some flavor, even the salsas. To Pepper’s credit, the food is freshly made from fresh ingredients. You choose which components you want on your burritos, tacos, and salads, so the end product is formulated exactly to your wishes. You will receive a decent meal for a price that isn’t unreasonable. We probably would never visit Pepper’s again. Except. Except for the fact that it is located in Estes Park. Sweetie and I have yet to find a decent restaurant in Estes. And we’ve tried. Many times. Without any success, sadly. So, in comparison to what else is available in Estes, Pepper’s is actually just about the best option. As already said, a decent meal for an okay price. For Estes that’s one heck of a recommendation!

Good food and friendly service. What I would expect out of a burrito joint. The pork was definitely good and I was pleasantly surprised about all the veggie choices I could get. The salsas were bland, except for the spicy one. The chips and salsa were extra which I thought should be included and the chips weren’t great. It was a fine lunch, but nothing much.

Run of the mill, local burrito joint. They have some good variety and options. Prices are solid too. They even have a patio and rooftop seating. Definitely a good spot in Estes for a quick bite for veggie-eaters.

Long lines, food was eh. I probably wouldn’t come back. My husband noted that his was lacking in salt and flavor in general. The workers were scolding each other in front of us. Very unprofessional.

Good food, friendly service. Eat on the roof top deck! Just wish they put more salsa on the chicken dishes, but still good.

Not sure how Peppers rates a 4 star review. It’s not horrible by any means but it is, at best, just another fast food Mexican joint. The staff seemed disinterested. You order at a counter off a complicated menu and go down the line without any real guidance. If you want a pleasant dinner out I would not recommend Peppers. If you’re looking for a fast meal then it’s not bad.

This was our last stop for food on our trip to Estes Park. After a long day, we went in expecting just regular food. What we got was completely smashing. They welcomed us despite being busy and then told us that they be helping us in a while. I forgot the food but what I do remember is their DIABLO Sauce. I had chest congestion throughout the trip and I was hesitant to try it. My wife asked me to take just a small portion. I caved in and man it was AWESOME. I ended up having all of it myself. Honestly, I remember their service and Diablo sauce and that’s why I would love to go back.

After hitting the trails on an ATV for hours, Mexican food and margaritas was ideal. Service was great, and rooftop views were outstanding.

I cannot even describe the terrible craving I get for Peppers delicious food once I start thinking about it, makes me want to drive up from Denver ASAP to stop my mouth from watering lol. I love Peppers and usually end up eating 2 – 3 meals here over a 2 day stay in Estes Park. I was so happy to find decent food and of an ethnic variety here. The people and service are fantastic as well as quality of food. They have unique fillings and options that I appreciate especially the sweet potatoes, such a perfect compliment to the black beans. Tons of salsa choices and OMG the white(habanero) queso is so good I never care how my lips burn I just keep going :) You can order combos or individual items or specials or make your own masterpiece. They do have wine and beer and include local brews too. I think they must take special classes on overloading burritos because they are HUGE. I make good use of my frequent diner punch card. They have key lime pie and cookies for dessert but I am always too full to even contemplate. Now pardon me I have to get up to Estes…

Maybe I’m just spoiled by Qdoba’s queso and general menu offerings, or by the fantastic meals I’ve had at Casa Grande and the Mountaineer nearby, but I wasn’t nearly as impressed by Peppers as their four-star Unilocal rating would have normally implied. I was not displeased, but neither was I so moved as to state, simply, that I had an average lunch for an average Estes Park price point. The interior is clean and spacious, if somewhat bland, and makes the business feel rather like a mom-and-pop version of a Chipotle or Qdoba, whose general operation it seems to be modeled after. They feature tacos, burritos, quesadillas, taco salad bowls, and a decent selection of salsas. The combos and such are about eight dollars and some change, so with a drink your per-person price is somewhere over ten dollars, which isn’t too bad for Estes Park. I had the #1 combo, which had a buffalo taco, two cheese enchiladas with their red sauce, beans and rice, with guacamole. The guacamole was okay, nothing to write home about(but something to write Unilocal about, ostensibly), the cheese enchiladas were moderately flavorful, and the sauce was less spicy than I’d hoped. It was touted as a «medium-hot» sauce on their menu, but perhaps I’m just more accustomed to spice in food than average patrons of this particular eatery, because it was only somewhat piquant even when I sampled the sauce without anything on it after I’d finished the meal. The portion was fair for the price in Estes, and the taco was good(if messy, just like it should be). I was lunching with a business associate who had a taco bowl with two different kinds of meat, and she was also unimpressed by the quality of the food. The service was fair, not unfriendly, and at least more on-par with what I’d expect from an Estes Park restaurant with four stars on Unilocal in the slow part of a mid-March day. But between the average food, under-spiced sauce, and general middlin’ nature of Peppers, I’ll probably go back to Casa Grande next time I want an oversize burrito. OFNOTE: They do have Estes Park Brewery’s Raspberry Wheat and Honey Stinger in bottles, which might be nice to wash down an otherwise unremarkable meal. But having local brews is always a bonus!
