If you’re a regular who takes the time to know the staff, you’re family. There are SEVERAL other places along Main St. I could spend my time at, but this is where I feel truly welcomed.

Great service great food. My wife went in on a slow rainy night. I’ve been to places on similar types of days and typically I’ve been serviced by a bored server who doesn’t want to be there. Well, much to my satisfaction the server here was amazing. She was very enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. The food was so great, I was surprised at how good it was. Place is pricey, but rightfully so. If you want some amazing Italian food, get to Nicolosi‘s. I’ll never eat at any other Italian place.

So I went with my girlfriend to eat at Nicolosi’s after I picked her up from taking the GRE(she did really well by the way). We thought the food wasn’t all that great, we were expecting a little bit more flavor. The service was pretty good, though. The staff is nice and the waitress even complimented my girlfriend’s cardigan. The place has a good Italian feel overall. Maybe we ordered the wrong menu items, who knows. Would we eat here again? Probably not.

Terrible meal, so whats Italian about this place. Boy have they gone down hill, thats the problem when a new owner takes over and no traditional cooks.

This is a fantastic family run business! We held our soccer end of the year party in the banquet room in the back. We were able to decorate, bring in music and the girls were allowed to be as wild and crazy as they wanted to be. The parents enjoyed it too. The food was great! I especially liked the pesto shrimp pizza with goat cheese. Their crust is great! Kudos to Chef Rocca! Eddie was so accommodating and worked within our budget. I would definitely recommend this location and venue for an event like this.

Worth coming to for the clam chowder alone! Just as good as at the Navajo location. Everything we’ve ever tried has been good.

My wife, kids and I stopped for lunch on a very hot Sunday. I ordered a caprese panini opting for the whole sandwich not knowing it would come with table bread and soup. The half sandwich would have been plenty of food. Our waiter was very welcoming and helpful and the place was very clean and nice. I chose the minestrone soup which I really enjoyed. It had corn and chickpeas in it which I thought was unusual but I liked it a lot. Our waiter also decided to give us garlic bread on the house for our daughter to try which was very nice. My sandwich was ok it was bigger than I imagined. I only ate a little of it after filling up on bread and soup. The left overs are enough for lunch tomorrow. Over all it was a very nice lunch.

Great great service. Nice atmosphere. Clean. Speedy. Good flavors. Big portions. Nice little spot on el cajon, with inside and outside dinning areas.

Came here early evening on a Sunday to use a Groupon. Service was really slow. When we first arrived it appeared to be a one-man-show; one guy seating, behind the bar, waiting tables, answering the phone… Despite that, he was friendly and did a good job being as attentive as possible. We were able to overlook it. Shortly after a couple other employees appeared. Food was great; large pepperoni pizza on house crust with house red sauce, an order of lasagna, salad and bread basket with butter. The food had a nice presentation. The plates on the other hand appeared dirty because of all the scratches & wear. They should be changed. And mine was greasy & dirty on the bottom. My biggest issue is the price. Without the Groupon our total was $ 42; that’s without drinks & dessert. Seems like a lot for a pizza & lasagna, when we can get the same from a similar restaurants for about $ 10 less. And for those with children, we had a 6 yr old with us; no children’s menu, crayons or kid-friendly cups. But on the way out I did see crayons near the register???

Didn’t plan on going to this establishment at first but I’m glad I came across it! At first I was across the street at the downtown café in El Cajon. Received no service so I walked out and went across the street to this establishment and was welcomed and served immediately. Sat on the patio and had a wonderful sever who was very informative about the menu because it was my first time going. I chose the gnocchi Tuscan which was very good. The taste of the sauce reminded me of a tomato basil soup, which I loved. A salad was also served before the entrée. I also received complimentary garlic cheese bread that came with marinara sauce, which was great to have with my gnocchi. The whole meal was filling and the service was wonderful. I can’t wait to go back and try the pizza!

Worst food. Save yourself a lot of time and money(a lot of money) and go anywhere else. Maybe they should have saved money from their tacky decorations and used it to buy more ingredients. I mean cereal box cardboard is thicker than their pizza. If you have to eat here order a Canoli– it’s the only redeeming quality item on their menu.

Great Italian food! Called in for a to go order for my coworkers and myself. There were 8 orders, and the man who answered the phone was really nice and patient with me on the phone even when I was asking a lot of questions. I got the gnocchi parmesan, baked with garlic butter, romano and mozzarella — it was seriously mouthwatering! Really delicious. This was the first time I’ve ever had gnocchi. If all gnocchi is like this, I’ll be ordering it more often whenever I’m at an Italian restaurant from now on. My coworkers had nothing but great things to say about their meal as well. The price seemed steep at first, but after learning that the meal comes with bread, and either soup or a salad, it makes it worth it. I probably wouldn’t dine in since I don’t live in the El Cajon area, but I’d definitely order take out from them another time during a lunch break.

Good Italian food. I tried the Alfredo and meat sauce, both were good. Wings were also very good. If I come here driving through EC, absolutely trying the pizza and mac and cheese! Clam chowder was also very good. Dress is casual, Italian ambiance, nice, but nothing special.

Loved the lasagna. We would have had my birthday at this location, but had to go with the La Mesa area, because of no alcohol served at this location. during lunch they had the lasagna in a smaller portion. yum! would be a 5 star, however no bar.

5STARESTABLISHMENT! The service provided by Chris was top notch! Came in for the lunch special, which came with a soup, choice of entrée, Coca-Cola drink and warm bread. I ordered the turkey pesto panini and was blown away. It was as good as any I’ve ever had. The restaurant is in a great location, has beautiful outdoor seating, and nice dining area with bar inside. I was very impressed by the layout and décor. Definitely will be coming back! Highly recommended!

I stopped in for dinner after work, and when I learned they baked their own bread, I figure I would give it a try in the form of a sandwich. So, I ordered the Capicola with provolone and all the fixings. I also ordered an appetizer of a Pizzarino, which is basically a pizza with pepperoni on that freshly baked bread. Although, the menu said it cost $ 4.00, they charged me $ 4.25 and the sandwich was $ 8.00. The pizzarino was larger and good, mostly because the bread was very good. It came with a sparing amount of small pepperonis( ), and the mozzarella was abundant and tasty.( ) I thought the sauce was just okay. A little bland would be my best way to describe it, but that bread was great.( ) The Sandwich was good, but it would of been so much better if they would of added just one more layer of capicola and provolone because those two are what pack the flavor punch.( ) They certainly packed in the lettuce and chopped tomatoes, which I liked, but that was what I mostly tasted.( ). The bread was excellent again; very moist and with a traditional Italian crunchy exterior. One thing I really liked, was the way they smothered it with olive oil and a bit of balsamic. The sandwich was good, but more flavor provided by extra cappy and cheese would make it much better. The service provided by Ciera was very good. She checked on me a couple of times and was friendly during my whole visit. Oh, yes please charge customers what it says on the menu or correct it please… it was only .25, but still.
