If you go buy ice cream here and they ask… Is it for here or to go? Make sure to say «to go». They charge extra to enjoy your ice cream at there shop. Bullshit. It’s not right. It’s not like you Fucken serve us water or ask us if we need anything. It’s not a restaurant. I have been to this location sevral times and this has never happened to me until today… really? The last time I will go here.

My wife and I went to the Cold Stone Creamery on Jamacha Rd. the other night for a ice cream cone snack. The employees were very nice as they made both of our Ice Cream cones. A Little pricey but it was good.

This is our normal ice cream spot, the manager Nicolette knows that we have been coming in here for a while now, that is until today. Rather than telling the whole story I will make this real short and simple: if you want good customer service and someone just to serve you some ice cream, DO NOT go to the cold stone in Rancho San Diego. Not only will they talk back to you when not being spoken to, they will talk about you to their co worker to your face and have the nerve to call their customer psychotic. Plain and simple, FRANCES should not be working there or anywhere that has to do with person to person contact.

The prices are outrageous and the service came with a lot of attitude. Last night, our server was sullen, never smiled and actually slammed down the child’s order on the counter. Was it because my child was in the car waiting for his ice cream with his dad and she thought otherwise? Who is she to judge my order? I didn’t appreciate the tip jar «humor» either to the point after reading both tip jar messages, I decided NOT to leave a tip. I worked in the service industry, too, and I get it spades, but when you borderline insult your customers, almost demanding tips regardless of the service you get as if it’s your right to receive one, that’s when I draw the line. Take the damned messages down or just put a smiley face on the jars — believe you me, you will get a lot more tips. And have a little talk with the sullen one. There are plenty of high school and college kids out there who would LOVE her job!

Fine ice cream base/​flavor that can be customized into the sweet fulfillment I crave… but at a price.
Cold Stone was a usual spot for me that I would occasionally visit to get a sweet tooth fix. Ice cream is a weakness of mine and the ability to customize its flavor & texture… game over. The quality of the ice cream (base) is alone good enough reason to visit here. I usually get the take home containers (mine, ours, everyone), and customize it with the fixings I please (brownie, kit kat, etc.).
Within the past two years Cold Stone has drastically raised their prices because of competition. (Starbucks recently just did the same on 07÷08÷15). Because of the price increase it makes it a bit difficult to grab the customized treats I am craving. Easier just to go to a grocery store and pick up a gallon of ice cream for $ 3.
LOCATION: This location is great to grab some ice cream after a movie or once you have got done with shopping.
WHAT I LIKE: What I will always always get and recommend is the ice cream cakes. I have never been disappointed with any of those, never. Ice cream cake is a favorite of mine too, and from trying all the other competitors Cold Stone ice cream cakes will remain supreme.
MY RATING: Cold Stone has gone from a common spot to a luxury apot within the past coue years. It is great ice cream, there is no arguing there. The ice cream & customization alone make my rating for this place high… but the price to enjoy ice cream from this place… has drastically brought it down for me. I will still visit here on a rare occasion. But I know I am going to drop 2x to 3x more the money I would use for purchasing ice cream from a grocery store.

Ice cream is good but could they give any smaller portions. If I am paying 6 bucks for an ice cream, it shouldn’t be below the top of the cup. In fact, every single cold stone I’ve been to other than this one has filled it past the top.

Haven’t been here in years. Great service and delicious ice cream! Tables and floors were clean, too. Kids had a great time.

Today the customer service was excellent. Destiny greeted us with a smile and offered to help! She is very upbeat and friendly. Mary was also very helpful and my daughter was very impressed in how she chopped up her mix-​in very well. You have 2 winners on your hands! The customer service is the best it’s been in this location compared to any previous visits. Good job, Owner/​Manager, these two are definite keepers!!! Thank you. (It’s a given that the ice cream is great! As far as price, I love my emails with buy one get one free!)

The ice cream is fine but the service is inconsistent. As they were cleaning the glass while my order was prepared, I couldn’t QC my order. Unfortunately my «Gotta have it» was about a half inch below the lip of the cup. Happens way too often here…

Every time I’ve come in here I’ve been greeted like a friend and had great ice cream whipped up. Not sure what the deal is with all the negative reviews here…

Average ice cream, and just above average service. They get very much the bonus points because they support local schools, so a portion of your purchase goes to support said schools. At times you’ll need a flyer to support your particular group. Steady and friendly, right outside the theater.

I love the ice cream here. Especially their French vanilla mixed with any chocolate bar. Heaven.

I am a big fan of Vanilla Milk Shakes, but when they want to charge me $ 4.50 for a 12 oz shake, well I have to pass. I am not cheap, I am just not stupid.
So, I decided on a 12 oz Vanilla Crème Latte blended for $ 2.50. (
) I liked it and it certainly tasted like coffee, but I could not taste the vanilla. I wonder if it even had any vanilla flavoring. Regardless of the lack of vanilla flavor, it still was a good blended latte.
The service was good, quick, and for the most part friendly. I was unaware that Cold Stone sold ice cream cakes. They looked very good and may consider getting one next time an event suites it.

Worst. Service. Ever.
There is always so many little teens there and they’re so slow, or just refuse to work. One time there was a girl who had a chair propped behind the counter and she was sitting there charging her phone and eating. Just enjoying her lunch for everyone to see while the other girls had to get around her and actually work. They’re also really slow. If you go in there for a big order, expect the first ice cream to be melted by the time the order is ready. I think it would just be a lot faster if the girls work together on each party and that will eliminate the line. Someone new needs to manage this place and hire a new team.

worst service ever.
all 5 girls behind the counter did not want to be there & it showed, even better they were pissed that we came in 45 minutes before closing. they tried to hurry us up, even asking over an over an over again in less than a 2 minute period if we knew what we wanted, in not a nice way.
45 minutes before closing — really, you are in that much of a rush?
a group of 7 of us walked in got the attitude from hell and all 7 of us walked out!
it maybe the closer coldstone to our house– but never again will any of us go there.

The majority of the time, when I’m in here, the high school kids behind the counter don’t act too friendly and seem like they hate their life… or maybe just their job. But the ice cream is always good :)
