The lady who owns the store is amazing! Her service is impeccable. She’s a tireless worker and loves her customers.

This should be a Dairy Queen Express considering most items on DQ website aren’t available at this location. Seems like all they carry is microwavable/toaster oven stuff. Only thing we bought here was ice cream. Not impressive.

DQ… how I miss you from high school days and cruising down Mission Beach until that location closed I’ll have to re-live the blizzard days out here in Rancho SD. Its been a while. This is my 3rd time here and I must say its pretty consistent and we are always greeted with a smile from the friendly lady who works here. This time, I brought in a printed coupon for a buy one get one free medium blizzard for my birthday. Its cool because you don’t have to use it ON your birthday. My favorite blizzard has to be the Peanut Butter Cups. Its a classic. My husband got the peanut butter cookie dough blizzard. Both are sinfully good. Its fairy big in there with a lot of tables, highchairs, and seating outside for warm days. It quickly filled up after us. I suggest signing up online for your birthday coupon and adding your location choice. The lady working is really good with kids and you can tell its a family friendly establishment. Who doesn’t like ice-cream or a free blizzard?! Thank you!

I went two days in a row to this dairy queen(yesterday and today) and both times I was greeted by the same wonderful lady. Here I was provided with wonderful customer service and the strawberry cheesecakes I ordered for my boys and I were incredibly made by her and her co worker. Definitely going again !

Our first time coming to this location since we are new to the area. Place is clean and the Asian lady who took my order was so kind and was super fast! We love Dairy Queen and yes although it is pricey for our family of 6 we still treat ourselves to Dairy Queen when we can. Love all their blizzards and the peanut buster parfait is great too! We’ll definitely be back :)

Sit-down place with no public restroom :-(. Asked to use the staff one after ordering and was told no. Don’t think I’ll return here!

This has got to be the worst excuse for a dairy queen I have ever seen. My husband saw a commercial for the salted caramel blizzard and decided we were going there for dinner and desert. We looked at the menu online and decoded ahead of time what we and our kids would want. Arrived to find out that this location carries nothing. They sell hot dogs and bbq sandwiches and the sandwiches they were out of. No burgers, no chicken tenders, no fries or onion rings, nothing. We left and ate dinner elsewhere, and planned on coming back for desert. Came back for desert and once again, items that they advertise and had posters of on the wall in that location, they either didn’t carry or were out of. This is the worst example of management, franchising or corporation I have ever in my 40 years come accross. I would give it 0 stars except that my daughters blizzard plus m&ms was edible and so far hasn’t made her ill. Don’t go if you are looking for an actual dairy queen. This is more like a lame example of soft serve with 5 topping choices.

Negative stars are really in order here. Me my fiancé and our roommate went here to get blizzards. We walked in and no one was at the counter. We stood there for about 5 min and finally someone came to the counter. We weren’t being quiet either, laughing and joking so it’s not like someone couldn’t hear us. The lady came to the counter and I ordered first, a chocolate blizzard with Oreos, mud fudge with no nuts and cookie dough(I promise theres a point to me saying what we ordered) then she took my fiancé’s order and he ordered a regular blizzard with Reese’s, she walks over and looks and says«nope» comes back to the counter and says«no Reese’s come back tomorrow» uhm what? How about an im sorry we’re out what else can I get you! But no, just nope come back tomorrow. He laughed it off and ordered something else. So she makes mine and it’s not what I ordered. There were brownie bites, Oreos and cookie dough. No fudge. So I asked about it and told her that wasn’t what I wanted. Before I could say it was fine, she picked it up and violently and very rudely threw it in the trash and started making me another one. By this point my roommate was so irritated with her attitude she said«wow I’m done, she’s rude I’m over it. I’ll go home and eat a Popsicle» and walked out getting nothing. She made another one for me and it still wasn’t right but I was so peeved(and there was a line) by this point I just took it and left. I wanted a refund but the poor people behind me had already waited long enough and I’m sure it would have been a big stink. I’ve never had an issue getting the exact same thing I ordered at any other Dairy Queen! The behavior and customer service was uncalled for and utterly rude. I will never go back there and I will make sure to tell all my friends to goto the one in Santee!!! I ended up just throwing my blizzard away. All I wanted all day was some damn good ice cream and I couldn’t even get that! I should have listened to my fiancé and went to Vons to get a quart! So irritated!!!

This is really good ice cream place. First of all their ice cream is amaaazing especially the blizzard banana split. The prices are great like the large blizzard is only for $ 4.49 with really large portion of ice cream and fruits. Second the place is really clean. I come here every two weeks and the tables and the floor are always clean and fresh looking. Overall i really recommend this place to others.

Wow. What an experience. As I pulled up into the parking lot which offered valet service, I was escorted by a large strong Korean man into the ice cream shop. There he sat me down and took my order in a seductive manner, letting me know that he too wanted to get some cream. Then, a small, half-Mexican child(probably illegal), proceeded to make my Reece’s Blizzard. I have a feeling him and the buff Korean man are lovers, which made me angry. But then the best thing happened. The two gentlemen working the Dairy Queen offered me into the back of their shop for something they called a Hot Dog party, which I had assumed to be a special meal that came with the Blizzard. But it was much more than that. All in all, I had the time of my life. Now the two men and myself are in a commited relationship, going on 6 months strong. Plus I get free Ice Creams now, lol. Toodles!

We walked into store and no one was at counter. Waited about 5 minutes before someone came out. He was less than helpful. When we asked about the different sundaes he turned and pointed to the menu on the wall. He turned back to us and said nothing. The sundae was small and the experience was bad. We just wanted to take our little one out for a treat. Very disappointed and wont be back!

I’d like to start off by saying that their ice cream tastes like crap. I’d rather freeze a cow and squirt his frozen milk into my mouth. Furthermore, there was this homo-sexual Canadian boy that made me a cone that looked as if it were made by a 4-month-old infant. In addition, there was a short chubby Mexican boy that made me a Blizzard that was not ideal. It was not evenly distributed and it tasted like concrete. To sum things up, I would recommend coming to this shop, spitting into the tip jar, then taking yourself to have a nice cup of frozen yogurt at Menchies.

Order is always right here. You get your ice cream within the 5 minutes of ordering. Blizzards are always delicious. Never had a problem here.

There is an angry asian woman in there that is very disrespectful to her customers and her employees. There was a nice man that helped me out and was very respectful to me and my family and 1 time he was making my cone when she snatched it from his hand threw it in the trash and yelled at him with a disrespectful tone in front of a large line of customers. That made me mad and then, the young man was pouring a smoothie when she came and pushed him out of the way yelled at him and poured the smoothie. She is a very disrespectful woman and she deserves to be fired. I think she might be the owner and they lost a great customer. I will never be there again and i hope this review will show you not to go there again

So as busy or slow as this place may seem, the older Asian lady at the counter(who always seems to be working) keeps her game right! This lady can take a full order and make it quickly without forgetting or asking any questions. PLUS it’s all correct! Every time I have ever been here I have never had an issue. They’re really quick and get you that delicious DQ fix just like when you were a kid. They also make their ice cream bars on property which is really neat. One last thing, they are open late on Sundays(until 9:30pm) The only reason I deducted a star is because other staff is incompetent.

Pumpkin Pie Blizzard… Treat. I saw an online ad for this new blizzard and the ad won, because I eventually ended up here trying it out. For $ 3.69, the small was plenty for one person.( ) The blizzard came topped with a dash of nutmeg which gave it that nice holiday affect.( ) The blizzard was quite good, but it needed to be mixed better. The flavor was very aggressive toward the top, and a lot more balanced towards the bottom, which was very good. The best part of it was that it came with good sized pieces of pie crust mixed into the ice cream when made.( ) There is nothing like a good pie crust, even with ice cream! The lady who was manning the fort was friendly and very efficient. She is normally there when I come in, and she does a great job keeping the place clean.( )

There aren’t many DQ locations anymore and that is very very sad. During the summer we hit this DQ quite a bit because I wanted — nope — NEEDED a swirl cone. Or a chocolate dip cone and nowhere else around here has those*. And even if they were available anywhere else, I know for a fact their soft serve wouldn’t be as good as Dairy Queen’s. The woman who I assume owns this location is always working hard and always looking to make her customers happy and get them in and out in a timely manner. She’s awesome. I was originally bummed they didn’t offer the chicken strips at this location, but I found them at another location and they weren’t nearly as good as I remember them being when I ate them constantly as a 9-year-old. Imagine that. *Up in Ventura County(where I’m from) McDonald’s have chocolate dip cones for $ 1.19 at every location year-round. When we first moved down here and I went to McD’s to order one, the employee looked like I’d asked for a crème brûlée and advised me they’d never served those at any location in San Diego. WTF?! Come on, San Diego! Get with it! Thank goodness for DQ, my chocolate dip cone savior.
