Absolutely delicious! My gf, who normally not a fan of miso ramen, actually love this«special» miso ramen. The broth is somewhat thick. Very rich in flavor!

*Special Event* «Sendai Miso Ramen of Sendai Takejiro makes their first appearance for this event. Sendai is in the northern part of Japan and famous for Sendai Miso. Sendai Miso uses 100% locally grown soy beans and rice and brings rich and strong UMAMI. Enjoy this full-flavored, mild ramen mixed with tonkotsu soup, fish and vegetables.» Review Sendai Takejiro from Sendai, Miyagi prefecture brings their mild miso ramen to New Jersey from Northern Japan where their ramen is very popular. These events are quite special as all the major ingredients are imported from Japan and prepared by skilled chefs who specialize in their regionally unique ramen. This one was a style I am familiar with, mild and complex with less salt, the chashu was out of this world good(only one slice *pic). The broth was made with quality miso and emulsified nicely, very little separation of the miso and water right to the end of this delicious bowl. Included were kikurage wood ear mushrooms, thin beansprouts and the requisite naruto fish cake slice. The noodles were cooked nicely and had good«to the tooth» feel, with their rich golden color and slight curl they were easy to bring to your mouth using chopsticks. Overall great Miso Ramen, check out the 21 captioned photos of the other food vendors from Japan on the event page here Takejiro’s Japan Relief Takejiro’s has been visiting and supporting earthquake victims by serving their Ramen since the Japan Tsunami & Earthquake occured on 3⁄11 last year.
