Not a bad place. Typical chinese buffet but has more choices. The only complaint I have is the way they lay out the oysters. It’s more pleasant if they took extra care/time in laying them face up. Instead, it seems like someone comes with a bucket and simply dumps it onto the station without a care in the world.

Quite possibly the best seafood buffet outside of Vegas. We eat here 3 to 4 times a week. Always fresh and hot. Lunch is great and dinner is spectacular. Sushi made fresh right in front of you. Great service and great managers. And great price. If you love seafood, you have to try it. Yummo !!

We went for lunch early on a Monday morning and I was amazed at the unbelievable quality of every single item on the buffet! Fresh, Fresh, Fresh… tasty, very flavorful. …I was impressed. Sushi was being made right there in front of us. sasumu, too. Nori bright and crispy. lo mein just the right amt of sauce. The pork and the chicken dishes very tender. And the salmon to die for. Desserts nicely presented in small tasting portions and the fresh fruits flavorful. And this for about eight bucks a person. Boy, are we coming back frequently! This was our first time and i must say this buffet is a wonderful hidden jewel in Douglasville!

It seems that maybe dinner is the meal to avoid here. Not quite sure, but every time I visit the area, me and a buddy have lunch here and the food is quite good. The selection is quite diverse and that goes for the desert bar as well. The lunch price is $ 7.49 which is ridiculous for the type of food and the selection. The sushi is decent and has many varieties as well. There is also a hibachi chef that will cook to your taste. What more can you ask for at this price? Not much. The lunch service is great as well.

We came here for lunch and there was Great service and beautiful décor in the building. However, The food did not live up to the expectations… There was nothing here that we liked. The sushi options were very limited and the meat doesn’t stay warm long enough to sit down and eat it. Maybe dinner would be a better option.

This place yo-yos a lot on the quality of the food a lot. But it’s cheap on the weekdays before dinner time, and the Sushi is always good. Lots of options too, as it’s a very large buffet. I will say though, they save food from the night before, so going in right when they open is not ideal unless you want reheated food that is not very good. I would also avoid this place during weekends and dinner hours. The price goes up too much, and the food is 90% the same as it was during lunch hours.

BEWARE ! Thoroughly disgusted. Food was cold and tasteless. Sign at the welcome counter(where you wait to be seated) specified lunch until 4pm was $ 8.99… But we were charged $ 12 each at the register. When I pointed out the sign, I was told«everyone knows Sundays are all day dinner» and pointed to a small sign hidden behind a kids stuff toy vending machine. Spoke with other patrons sitting around us, and they all had the same problem! The restaurant clearly knew what they were doing! Posting images of the welcome sign, & the small sign that was hidden.

Just came back from eating here with my husband. It is across the street from our hotel so we went for dinner at 6:30. Our experience was simply gross. First, the good. Convenient location and a massive selection. Dirt cheap at $ 10.49 for all you can eat. Now the bad… The negiri sushi was sitting under loose plastic wrap since 11am. I didnt see the sign until after i put it on my plate. The rice was rock hard and dried out and the maguro smelled like rotting fish instead of the delicious maguro that i love. No soy sauce was available. The fresh oysters also had a very very strong smell, more than fresh oysters are supposed to. The chinese food also was under heat lamps and was dried out and/or cold. Even the pot stickers were dried out, but at lease those were edible. The hibachi grill was included with the buffet, but it was not staffed so we were not able to order anything. The salad bar was nearly empty even though there were only about 6 people in the restaurant. I even tried the fried chicken. It had a weird aftertaste like flowers or something… horrible. I cant make this stuff up. I really, really hate to waste food so my tolerance is high… But here i spit out almost everything i tried… What a huge waste. I am back at the hotel and still starving since i couldnt eat anything there, yet starving is the better option. There are TONS of other restaurants nearby this restaurant, pick anything else.

Quality dropped for a while but they have begun to tighten things up since getting a little competition. They even have a rewards program now. Food is tasting good again. Service has always been good.

After all the advertising My wife and I were excited to try this new restaurant… Four bites and ten minutes later my wife and I are $ 22.45 lighter in the billfold and headed home to get something we could eat. I was so disappointed that I advised the waiter that I could not eat the food. The food was not hot. The asparagus was raw. The honey mustard for the toss salad tasted like horesradish. Maybe it was just hot mustard but why would it be with all the salad dressings unlabled. He apologized and brought me the check which I paid nonetheless. We love oriental food but his was the worst buffet I can remember. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and someone else may have a great experience but I’ll stick with Golden Corral and Green Tomato. Good Eating

Easy parking; food is inexpensive; good choices — although desserts are less than good — always the same(never change choices) and can be stale. Several times the«tea delivery» had not come and they were out of tea… amazing. O verall good service and clean environment.

Why oh why did I come back here. Well I guess because I was starving and all the Mexican places on Fairburn rd were closed. So my 7 year old picked here. All I can say is this place is a rip off. I don’t mind paying 10 bucks for myself, But 6.99 for her, plus 1.89 for a kids drink, really she eats about 4 french fries and a few chicken nuggets and she’s done. She didn’t even want any ice cream today. So I wasn’t real pleased with my bill. I got water, they didn’t even seem to want me to get a second cup. REALLY my kid took about 4 sips out of your 2.00 drink, the least you could do is bring me another glass of water. Oh and tomorrow they are raising the price cause its New Years. Yeah I wont be falling for that one again. I would only give one star, but my daughter really liked feeding the fish costs 50 cents. which I might add should only be a quarter… Have I mentioned this place is a rip off.

The Atlantic Buffet is economical, economical, economical. I will safely assume it is the same chain that is located in Marietta, GA. I believe the location in Marietta is more spacious but this location is more compact. However, the décor is pretty decent, nice. I think some people were stating that it was dirty; I didn’t quite see that. Cute little bridge to walk over a stream of water when you first walk through the door, not bad A.B., not bad! I did see good service, prompt service. The sushi was average at best. Although it was good but good will get ya a «C». Lot of the food was kind of left out all day such like the roast, the mac & cheese, the potatoes with queso. This location has the hibachi thing jumping off. Not bad. I am a General Tso’s feen and they had plenty of that in which tasted good. The coconut shrimp was pretty good too as well as the seafood delight(crab meat & shrimp). Black peppered chicken was also alright. Everything else was either average or below average such as the crab meat on a stick, veggies, fried wings, etc. I would come here again to give it another try if I happen to be in the area. It hink the price was fair to a degree; perhaps on the overcharge side for food left out all day. From prior reviews, it seems like it fell from grace. Grade: C

This Chinese buffet is priced well for its offering — all the usual Chinese standards plus a few surprises. You can also pick your own ingredients and have someone cook it for you, Mongolian style with your choice of sauces. Iced prawns /shrimp and mussels are always welcome. Fairly decent sushi section. Desserts and fresh fruit are also reasonably plentiful — cheesecake and creampuffs are great but lemon and custard tarts would be awesome if added. We luck out with a really good waiter/waitress from time to time which makes the dining experience pleasant — cannot stress that enough to the management!

I’ve been coming here since they opened. Like many other posters, the food and service has gone way down. And the price way UP. The chilled shrimp are good, but the mussels are way overdone. I’m not knowledgeable about sushi, but it seems like mexican food — same ingredients, different wrapper. Food is left on the hot bar too long — much is dried out/overdone. I am limiting my visits now.

Oh my… what a fall from grace… I never had to take away TWO stars from good restaurant before, but just like most of the Asian restaurants around this area, they start with a Bang and end with a different kind of bang — the banging of angry fists and doors shutting… The sushi menu(as it was mentioned by another Unilocaler who also wrote a second review): The sushi menu is just like a mail order bride. Nice and cute at first, was worth the money, and was everything you expected plus more… then, once you are hooked, they kind of start getting skimpy on the feel-goods and start changing on you a bit … Now, their menu is still salvageable, but if it is not prevented, this can end in a nasty divorce… They used to have so many interesting varieties… now, they have just as much ‘sushi’ but it’s all a lie, I testify! The ingredients inside the ‘sushi’ were: rice, cucumber, imitation crab with either avocado or cream cheese. They wrap these ingredients in different ways and make more than five combinations with the same ingredients. EG: one wrap will have rice, cucumber and avocado, the next will have rice, imitation crab and cream cheese, the third will have avocado instead of cream cheese, etc. Get the drift? I see your deceitful ways Atlantic Buffet! And just like a mail-in-bride who is caught cheating, you too shall be forgiven for now… simply because there is nothing else out there that can replace you … just yet, but you wait and see! :P Now, besides the sushi bar, I only pay attention to the seafood variety. Which is still decent. Although the fried shrimp and the fried salmon are starting to taste more and more similar… like your deodorant and toothpaste … it is do-able… Now, I just wish they will leave the steamed Bok-choy the hell alone. They keep pouring this thick sauce over it… I suggest to leave the bok-choy as is and put the sauce on the side so that the people can have the option to be or not to be drowned with sauce. :P Power to the people!!! –err…who like their Bokchoy steamy and naked! Not strung out and sticky. Fehhh… All in all, this place is still decent. The server we had the last time was awesome. He was definitely rocking that day. Maybe he just got his first kiss, grew his first man-hair, who knows? but he was happy as hell. He was so happy, I was happy, and I complimented him to the supervisor, then my brain seized to function for a quick second and mindlessly called him a «chinese dude.» Now, Im sure they have a picture of me in the kitchen with a big red X mark across with«she-devil» title on it … Im sure he was not Chinese because the four people in the register were clearly offended, and for that, I apologize wonderful staff of Atlantic Buffet, and please dont molest my food when I come back? Friends? So there. I think it’s still a good place to go. The décor is still nice and the staff is good. The food is still good but not as great as it was and oh, the price went up by a dollar. But I knew it was coming because just like a mail-in-bride, they too start demanding more cash after a while … and just like a jerk … I will be coming back anyway. :) … but just like a mail-in-bride, you can only cheat and ask for more cash for so long before you get dumped and be replaced by something familiar, fast, and cheap … in this case, atlantic buffet, always remember, there is always Wa-Ho next to you ;) ps: i just want to point out that no mail-in-bride were hurt in the writing process of this review … and also, not all cheat … and mail in brides are awesome … i just wonder how much they had to pay for stamp? or can we get one by email now? X-D … JK… for real. Ive had too much sugar today and no offense to any mail-in-brides :)

Aight now Atlantic! I told you that we loved you and don’t change… and you ALREADYARE changing! WTF… I mean, you’re still good, but if you keep going, DAMN! you’re gonna lose your status with me! We went this weekend. They can’t decide what’s going to be lunch food and what’s going to be dinner food. The menu changes at dinner, of course, because the price does, but we’ve been for lunch AND dinner lately and you seem to have the same damn things except the coconut shrimp. You don’t even have the ginger dressing anymore. Can’t get the guys at the sushi bar to keep it stocked AND you’ve changed the kind of sushi you’re putting out. Now we DID try the Hibachi this time(because you’ve changed the bar so much we really didn’t see much we liked) and I have to say it was great. I got beef, mushrooms, broccoli, onions and sprouts. Put hot chili and teriyaki on it… was really good. Because of all the indecision and changing I am very tempted to give you three stars now, but I’m going to give you another chance… JUSTMAKEYOURMINDUP!

With the exception of a few buffet items… the menu is MSG free! The first time my family and I ate here, it was for dinner and very enjoyable. The selection and spread of food was fresh and tasty. The presentation was also professional. The restaurant was clean as well with food guard low enough to prevent breathing and sneezing(which I loved). The service was overall. The servers on our first visit were not able to fully communicate in English which was a little frustrating but we made it through. My husband and brother who love sushi, really enjoyed the freshness of the selection. The price of the buffet is very affordable, especially for the selection which was one of the motivating factors to return. However, my husband and I went for lunch and it was not as good. The food was not as fresh and the seafood seemed to have been out awhile. Nevertheless, the service was much better this time.
