My friend and I were visiting Chicago last month. My bag, with my wallet and both our phones, was taken while I was getting onto the L Train. I realize this could have happened anywhere and to anyone. Luckily there was a T-Mobile location in walking distance from our hotel which we made our first stop in the morning. The staff was very friendly and understanding. He even apologized on behalf of Chicago for our experience but I can honestly say that I really loved my experience in Chicago. This was just an unfortunate incident and we were grateful that the staff at T-Mobile did everything possible to make sure that we could be connected with the world again. Most important lesson, other than always holding onto your bag when near the L Train, INSUREYOURPHONE!

We received the best service from anyone affiliated with tmobile at this location. Kevin was helpful, knowledgeable and took great care in helping us.

Staff was friendly, but something told me when I asked them a question on a problem on my phone… he didnt seem to sure on his answer… but then again to be fair, maybe I wasnt being clear on my issue.(I guess what made me think this was at the other locations the employee took my phone to look at it and replicate the problem and he didnt do that here.) Small store tool(which doesn’t make it a bad store and didnt have anything to do on how I rated this.)

I came in to the store yesterday, because I received a «loyalty» mailer from TMO the other day. It basically said(one of the options) I could get was a $ 200 mail in rebate with purchase of a new phone. Sure! I’m in the market for a new phone, and out of contract again anyway. I initially wanted to get the HTC One, but was swayed with the awesomeness of the new Samsung Galaxy S3. Rawwwrrr. Francisco helped me and answered all my questions. There were a total of 3 customers at the time I was there and he was the only one in store. It would probably be good to have a second person so that there isn’t a long wait time. For me, it wasn’t a problem because I was thumbing through the phone the entire time. He did a good job explaining to me the differences between the two phones I was interested in, the current plans, and what my options were. In the end, I spent a little bit more than I really thought I would, and I know some of that was partially an up-sell, but I am happy overall.

I went here to get a quick deal — a pay as you go phone and minutes, which should take about 5 minutes. This took considerably longer — I did allow them to activate it, which I took it as a nice convenience, but they cannot seem to activate any phones/SIM cards, despite talking to T-Mobile. Maybe not their fault? I am not sure, but it seems every activation pamphlet with unique codes did not work. After about nearly 45 minutes of being patient(yeah, I know), I told them I’ll come by again later as it seems if this won’t ever work and I was running late for a lunch with family. I’ve had other pay as you go phones and activations and never had this kind of problem. I would think this store could make my 30 minutes of self activating this phone and service(prep work and yadda yadda yadda) into a 5 – 10 minute easy in-n-out, but nope. Maybe its T-Mobile’s fault or what not, I don’t know. I do know that I won’t be coming back here, ever. Despite the negativity of the rating of this place, its decent place with a good selection of phones, BB, Android, and regular & other smart phones. Clean place, looks like it opened recently; a ample parking, nearby a Little Caesar’s pizza joint and a Starbucks Coffee.
