I enjoy the food and service at this restaurant. I placed a to-go order of the chicken curry a la carte and veggie samosas. Curry is spicy and flavorful. Samasos are crispy, hot, and slightly spicy.

All the items in the buffet were tasteless. It looked like the buffet items were made three days back. Stale food.

We absolutely loved this place! The waiter was excellent and answered some questions we had. You could tell he had love for the culture and tradition and he wasn’t even Indian. Should we be back in that area, we will definitely stop by!

Went there for lunch last week. I didn’t have any expectations when I went in. I went with 20 people or so and EVERY single person loved the food and the service. Everyone from the waiter to the hostess was extremely nice. Definitely recommend it to anyone!

The food seems fresh and cooked to order. My friend enjoyed her food very much. I on the other hand didn’t enjoy it that much. Her daughter had the kinds chicken nuggets and fries, she ended up sick that night. Not sure if it was the food or something else.

Consistently good food. The sambar is always a treat. The only real criticism I have is that there is no longer any Bollywood tv. It used to be a treat to eat and catch up on Bollywood.

Authentic food and spices brought tears to my eyes, literally. I ordered the goat curry and two different naans… garlic and lamb. Preferred the garlic! Josh my waiter was awesome!

Only had this place delivered, but wow the food was amazing! Did you know there was naan with lamb baked into it? I think my life was changed when I dipped that sucker into their goat curry. My friend has brought me to some really hole in the wall places but perhaps I like my indian food a little Americanized which some other reviews suggest, even though I don’t think this place is. Either way I can’t wait until I get my hands on their lunch buffet. Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in Dallas!

I’m so happy to have found this place! The food was on point and the service was fantastic! I was not in any hurry though. The curry was spicy but good! The lamb in the lamb saag was tender and cooked beautifully.

The food was a 5 star product. I’m only giving 4 stars bc of price and servers were not attentive. For was great though. When we walked in the host was on the phone. We were fine waiting for him to finish but he kinda shoved menus to us and waved for us to find a seat. He was friendly when he came over and greeted us at the table we chose. The restaurant itself is decorated very nice. It was very clean. Did you have TVs which were a little loud. We would’ve preferred some soft music or something over the news while we ate. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian for an appetizer. It was a very well-kept. It was nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It had a lot of spices and a good amount of heat. It was one of the best I have ever had. For our entrée we ordered the vegetable masala dinner. The masala sauce was very good and creamy. The vegetables were very flavorful and there were a lot of good spices in it. Besides that it came with we’re good but not great. The rice was really good. Our waiter very rarely came and checked on us. I had to wait quite a long time to get refill on water which was not fun due to the spiciness of the food. He was nice just not very attentive. Prices are a little high. The Gobi Manchurian was very good but at nine dollars was one of the most expensive orders I have ever had. The dinner was $ 15. Again it was very good but a little high. You should definitely check this place out. The food is great!

They’ve made some changes and I feel like they’ve been mostly positive. The gentleman managing the place now is great. Well spoken, polite, affable. A huge improvement over the previous manager. As always, the food is great! Solid selection and variety. I’ll be back for sure!

Deliciously authentic Indian food and brutally spicy!!! Atmosphere:(3⁄5) * Nice decoration but the buffet set up can be confusing and cluttered. Sometime they just turn off the music completely so it can be awkward to have a conversation. Food:(4⁄5) * Flavor is spot on!(most of them), awesome desserts BUT! Hellishly spicy!!! Their goat curry is awesome, meat falls apart with intense flavor, chicken tandoori is sensational. Staff:(5⁄5) * Nice, smiley, and very attentive with humors. Except the owner… Cleanliness:(3⁄5) * It’s alright. Good hang out spot: Yes. Warning: 1. Be prepare for burning authentic sensation of Indian cuisine. 2. After a very delicious meal it can be very detoxing and I mean VERY! Detoxing, you have been warned. Weekend lunch buffet is $ 11.99

Honestly can’t understand the poor reviews here. We just left our first visit and were very impressed. We usually do India Palace or Aroma, but tried Vindu tonight. We loved it! Servers were very friendly and attentive. Food was very delicious. Restaurant was clean and inviting. We will be back. By the way, owner, if you are reading this, if the tip stealing is true shame on you. Your servers do a great job and DESERVE that money.

I’ve been to my fair share of Indian Lunch Buffets and while I can’t vouch for Vindu’s authenticity, I can certainly comment on it’s perceived quality and quantity. Pros — More selections and a wider variety. Most times, you go to an Indian buffet and its the same old, same old. Vindu offers a few items that I’ve never seen. — More desserts! I’m not sure how thrilled you get at Indian restaurants but often they only serve rice pudding(sorry — no idea what it’s called). Here, they had a mango and pudding dish as well as several types of cookies. — Soup … yea, never seen soup before. This is new for me. *** Cons *** — Not enough stomach space — Wait, the naan isn’t brought to my table? I have to go get it from the buffet line? Well, I guess it’s not all bad. — Mango Lassi not as good. A little watered down. Overall, Vindu is a great value on the AYCE scale. Dig in.

Beyond the food being delicious I found it very well thought out. I went there on a whim for their lunch buffet and I can say it’s about the best $ 10 I’ve spent on lunch in a bit. The flavors were very well balanced and the food of high quality. Chicken masala was the Shiite!

My favorite Indian place in Dallas, used to be the Pasand in Richardson till they moved a few years ago. Food is amazing my favorites are Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, & veggie samosas. Never had anything I didn’t like here though. They have a very good lunch buffet too 7 days a week. Outstanding service!!!

THISIS A PUBLICSERVICEANNOUNCEMENT: This restaurant probably deserves two stars for the food. If they pass this off as Indian food, I feel bad for the folks paying their hard earned money to eat here. Indian food deserves way better representation that what is being offered here. I would never review a crappy place like this. However, I just want to let all you food lovers know that the owner is a jerk. A couple of waiters told me that the owner is extremely cheap. When the customers leave tips by way of a credit card, they(the waiters) NEVER see a dime. If you were to leave a few dollars on the table, the waiters better get to it… or the owner snatches it. I read a couple of reviews where the service level was being commented on. This explains it. Why would anybody work at a place where they make ZEROTIPS? If you don’t believe me, please talk to the waiters here, they are nice people. If you absolutely must eat in this crappy restaurant, please do so! But PLEASEPLEASE give money to the wait staff when you leave, do not leave money on the table and do NOT use your credit card for tips. THANKS!!! P.S: I don’t work there!!!

One of the decent restaurants when it comes to options in the buffet. The chilly chicken is splendid. The have a wide spread of south indian tiffins. The biryani was good but not great. Coming to the desserts, nothing is exceptional. Might go back if had a chance

Living in Ft. worth I’ve been trying to find decent Indian food for a while now… not much on the west side of town. I ate lunch here as it was close to a business meeting. Lunch is buffet style and there wasn’t a huge assortment of meats but what they did have was very good. You can’t go wrong with a buffet lunch for $ 10.00

Sooooooo disappointed. I ordered the ras malai for a group of people and we couldn’t even take more than one or two bites. It was GROSS. Tasted like armpit with a whole bunch of Indian spices(don’t ask how I know what armpits are) Never again

Ok, it’s been awhile since I’ve been here, I moved to downtown Dallas. Well I realized what I have been missing. The buffet was phenomenal, cooking was perfection. Spiced just right & full of flavor, every dish I tried was mouthwatering. Fresh, abundant & so clean. Nothing comes close to this quality in Dallas, was well worth the drive. Nice service, though I wish they had better tasting iced tea, however the food was sO delicious, I can forgive this completely.

The food is really good but also very very expensive for what you get. Buffet is probably your best bet. We will not be returning. The worst part of your experience will probably be terrible service. The hosts have NEVER been friendly and are borderline rude. I cannot stand a restaurant with terrible customer service and unresponsive management. The food is not good enough to get stars because your service needs to back your food and represent the business. I would rather drive further to mayuri in las colinas to get really good food and excellent service, than to go to Vindu which is down the street. The staff seems to have high turnover, so that says a lot about management. Indian restaurants are notorious for not paying their staff enough and now showing appreciation for their staff. I smell that here. I would be willing to check things out again in 6 months to see any improvement. But for the last year and a half, eh.

This was a pleasant experience. The service was great, the waiter recommended a lot of vegetarian options to us, and they were consistent with their drink refills. We got the vegetable masala and the vegetable biriyani with the garlic naan. Their portions were more than enough for us(two people) and we even took some to-go. The food was flavorful and we enjoyed our orders very much.

I honestly didn’t expect this place to have good Indian food but the restaurant surely proved me wrong. The portions were pretty generous as well! I haven’t eaten the lunch buffet yet but am hoping to pretty soon. The service and atmosphere is very friendly. I will be back very soon!

This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants. The chicken tikka masala is aromatic and complex, and the naan is always perfectly blistered and piping hot. I’ve had very different experiences over the years here – a few months ago I came and the waiters almost never came to our table. But, last time I came, the server(Josh I think?) was super attentive and friendly. Another improvement I’ve really appreciated is that they serve the food less spicy, but they provide a relish on the side for if you want to add more of a kick. Nice alternative. Definitely will be back and hope they continue on this upward trend!

We went for the lunch buffet. Lunch was good. They had a nice selection. The tikki masala was good and also the butter chicken(typically what I normally eat in an indian restuarant). I did try some of the other selections and they were good as well. We had our 2 kids with us and all the food was too spicy for them to eat. Even the tandoori chicken. It was a little on the dry side anyhow. One of the servers brought us out this crêpe dish with curry pototes inside. My one son was able to eat the potatoes and the server was nice enough to get us some more the potatoes for him. Good service. Decent food and selection.

I went there for the lunch buffet. Let’s start with the food, the taste was pretty good. It was def more spicy than what I’ve had before, but Vindu’s was recommended to me by people who know more about authentic Indian food. The goat curry was very nice and tender and yummy! I would def recommend this! But the rest of the food was really cold. It was lukewarm or just plain cold… So I don’t know that was up with that… The service was pretty good up until we paid… The cashier asked me «where you are from?» I didn’t realize what he was asking, so I answered with«Richardson» but he was asking about my ethnicity… I’m not someone that calls people racists, but honestly, there are way better ways to ask that… Especially if you are of a different ethnicity as well… 3 Stars on the food and everything about this restaurant.

Indian Buffet with a very good selection. It it not a very large place, but they have they have a good buffet. When I walked in, the aromas of the food permeating throughout the place made me quite eager to dig in. The quality of the dishes were what I have come to expect from Indian buffets, but Indian dishes hold up reasonably well to buffet style heating/holding. Mildly spicy, but at least there was still a hint of spiciness that some places might lack. The buffet came with some fresh dosa. They had an abundance of chutneys, including ginger chutney, coconut chutney, tomato chutney & others with names I didn’t recognize. Gulab jamun were pretty dense and didn’t soak up syrup that well, but the carrot halwa had a lovely flavoring of cardamom & the mango custard was tasty as well. They have wines, beers & lassis available to order. The service was friendly enough, and made sure I had plenty of water & dishes kept getting picked up, which is all that a buffet really needs. _________________ Conclusion: This is the place that I like to frequent when I am craving an Indian Buffet because it is both near my home, and the buffet always seems to have goat curry!
