I believe it’s the best Indian restaurant in Dallas. We tried boneless chicken biryani and masala. They were very tasty and spicy too!

This would be 5 stars if the meat had more meat then bones, naans were a lttle charred, and meduim spicy wasnt a 10… ok for me but not the wifey. Flavavors are great, recommend carry out ot delivery(not much ambience). Pound for pound best indian food in the area.

Their biryani is really good. I tried the goat and chicken biryani and loved them. Go for medium spicy though, if you say spicy then they make it really spicy. Too spicy for me, an Indian. That’s about it. Almost everything else we ordered apart from biryani is either below average or barely average taste. Either salt is too high or too sour. Or too burnt. Tandoori chicken too salty. Tandoori tikka too burnt. Chilli chicken was too sour and salty. Expected dry and we’re told the same, but it came wet. To conclude. We loved their biryani taste and also the family and jumbo packs. But everything else we tried was disappointing.

I saw the rating and decided to go there but I was not impressed. Selection was limited. When we asked for naan, they offered us garlic or regular, and when I said both, they said it’ll cost us extra, so we ordered garlic. A minute after our naan arrived, they put both out on buffet line. I mean, what was that about? Food was on the spicier end, comparing to other Indian restaurants. Taste was good but not impressive.

Strange that the biriyani is so dry and the meat is not good. The meat pieces are pretty much cooked at least two days back and not prepared from scratch. Very bad service

I went to Astoria restaurant on midway, Dallas. It’s a nice and cozy restaurant with awesome food. We ordered mix of some veg and non veg dishes and both were great in taste equally. We ordered butter paneer masala and kofta curry, it was very tasty, not the usual buttery/creamy kind. In non veg, we tasted chicken curry and goat biryani, it was delicious. Saw that they ha banquet hall too for parties, so good combination of hall and food…

The Chicken Biryani here is superb! The chef takes real good care to make sure the food is prepared to perfection. There is also an attached banquet hall if you want to do events there for around 100 people.

Briyani is dry, and their idea of vegetable Briyani is rice with raw potatoes and onions and cilantro sprinkled(it should be called rice not vegetable Briyani)…also waited 50 minutes for my food out of my 1 hour lunch break.

The food is exceptional as always. The menu has been expanded so it’s more options now. The food is exceptional as always. It’s a staple in my weekly diet.

I wanted to give them a try. I’m obsessed with Indian food. What is the deal with this place? They can’t decide on the name of the restaurant. Is it Biryani Hut or Biryani Point? They don’t answer the phone on July 15th2015. They have a sign in the window saying ‘now open’. Yet at 6:45pm they are closed. I will give them a better score when I actually eat there one day. If the management read this please let me know when you’re open. No way to contact you via your website.

The wife and I have been looking for a go-to Indian place in the Addison area for a while now, and I think we’ve finally found it. The chicken biryani was excellent, as was the veg korma. Both ordered medium spicy, and the heat level was perfect. Naan was nice & crispy. We definitely are looking forward to returning here soon

My friend and I ordered chicken tikka masala, fish curry, and a basket of bread containing all kinds of naans. I must say that the food was excellent. Both dishes were flavorful and tasty. However, the«mild» was quite relative. In my opinion, the curry tasted as «medium», although tikka masala was a little more mild, indeed.(I guess, the milk in tikka masala helps.) All naans were great. The basket has a LOT of bread, so we had to take it home. The only thing missing was… Customers! I cannot understand why we were the only people dining. But perhaps it was the early dining hour. This restaurant should not be neglected by anyone who would want quality dining experience.

Went before they had their official opening and had a great experience! The food and service were excellent! Great prices too! I’ve taken friends there recently and they’ve all enjoyed it as well. Made to order and very nice presentation. The Naan, basmati rice, tandoori chicken, and chicken Tikka masala are to die for! Definitely one of my favorite spots!

If you like Indian food and like supporting local business like we do, give this place a chance. Ordered takeout from them a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. Bit the bullet tonight and dined in and it did not disappoint. Tandoori chicken was cooked to order — so it took a while to come out — but that was just fine with us because it was so tender, so fresh, so flavorful, so delicious. In fact, everything we ate was made to order — even the naan. So. So. So. Good. Regret not trying the biryani — sounded so good. The server also made extra sure my young children’s Tikka Masala wasn’t too spicy. Couple of additional things to note: It’s BYOB so plan ahead. And just as another poster mentioned, they’re changing the name to Biryani Hut because of a competitor in the area.

The name of this place has changed to Biryani Hut. This is definitely the best biryani I had in US.(have tried countless places). It reminds you of the local biryani places in Hyderabad(for those who don’t know — Hyderabad has one of the finest cuisines in India and especially famous for Biryani). I ordered the chicken biryani. The chicken was fresh and did nor taste«stale».

I am a fan of their Biryani. We usually go there only for the Biryani which never disappoints.

The wife and I were excited to see a new Indian food place in the area so we didn’t hesitate to try it out. To be fair, they’re just opening their doors(within the past couple of months) so I think there are some kinks to be worked out. There is a limited menu(again, I think it’s fair to allow them to work out some kinks) but we really like the food here. The first time we had take-out and the second time we ate in. The one issue we have is one of the servers had a really hard time answering questions about the menu items. Luckily another server was able to help. I think the place holds a lot of promise as a romantic date night spot. It’s small and cozy. Right now, it’s a BYOB place and we really like the idea of bringing our own bottle of wine. We definitely plan to visit them again to see how things are shaping up.

I tried the chicken biryani from this restaurant and it was great! I’ve tried many other biryani dishes from other restaurants but astoria had a best. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. Also I heard that they are planning to have a banquet place just right next door soon and it will be a perfect place to have parties or events with a large group. I think this place is pretty cool and I’ll be coming back to try other dishes as well.

Bad experience. Being a new restaurant I was expecting good and tasty food. Biryani was not good. 3 stars because of the good service not the food. I ordered the family pack and the appetizer was horrible.
