Food is decent, nothing spectacular. The service is terrible, the people are so rude. especially the lady that works in the front. I ordered a chai tea and when I asked when it would come out, she said its ready, after 30 mins… I waited that long cause I didnt want to be too pushy, I asked again and said is the tea ready? She said«its ready its ready. you want it hot and fresh? its ready. «, idk how to have responded to that. she came after 10 mins with the chai. The chai was so so. its ok, but I think there are better places.

Good North Indian food. Multiple variety and options to order. Today’s special gets you a dinner order with rice and naan. Good quality of food and nice place for a family dinner.

WORST customer service. I called to inquire about a catering order for my wedding in March. I spoke with the manager and he quoted me an astronomical price for chaat. I was trying to get a feel from him about what we could do about the menu and how to make it affordable for me and worth it for him. HEHUNGUPONME. Who does that? NOTIMPRESSED.

I’m going to be honest I’ve been going here for MANY years. The food is usually good and I like the flavors. But the staff can be rude sometimes. I’ve been over charged here MANY times. I prefer the chicken korma here. I order it with all white meat. Sometimes it’s right… 50% of the time it’s wrong. And they get pissy if you tell them your meal isn’t right. They charged my teenage brother 5 dollars for an extra side of sauce(no veggies or chicken… Just sauce). And before that I’ve definitely gotten it for a few dollars before. So I don’t like how they change prices and charge you more or less on different days. I come here because it’s good Indian and close to my house. But I’m not impressed with service.

Second time eating here and can say this place is legit Indian food. Last time had the cashew chicken and husband had the vindaloo lamb. Lunch specials are great deal. BYOB, so definitely a plus if you are looking for an inexpensive dinner night out.

Love the food here! Growing up eating traditional indian food and then moving to Dallas at the age of 26 and having to find a new regular spot was difficult but I can honestly say Ive found it here! This place is the best ive found… so far. Definately recommend the specials that change daily, and the keema naan is always a nice addition to a meal!

Love the food here and would give it much better ratings but they are SLOW! Each time I come here for a takeout order, it takes about 30 minutes — even if I call it in before hand.

I recently rated this place a strong three, but since my friend loved this place, I agreed to give it another shot. Im glad I did. But now I will say this place is a weak four, primarily because I have an issue with their naan. I can take it home and reheat it to a better texture, but I think it sucks the way they serve it. Too chewy. This time around I ordered the chicken tikka masala. Although they give you more rice than masala(as suppose to Rice N Roti), it was damn good. I licked that bowl clean with all of its wonderfl flavor. Same thing goes for my friend’s chili chicken(even though it reminded me of a mexican dish oddly). I ordered an aloo tikki chaat appetizer, and it was swell. The potato pancake does get a bit soggy if you leave it out too long, but it was still worth getting. Even the lentils they served with the dinner plate had lots of flavor. Im not the biggest fan of basmati fan(i have a love for jasmine rice), but they did a good job on that too. I wish they would change how they prepare their naan. I also dont like the fact they are slow at cleaning tables for the next customers. But I have a feeling I will be eating eat more frequently than I first thought.

Non-stop Bollywood TV music with our Sunday afternoon meal was enough Bollywood to last me for a very long time. It was too loud and other customers didn’t seem that into it, so I’m not sure who it was for. The food was good, not great; but they had(5) $ 9.99 Sunday. special selections — entrée, dal, rice, naan and a cucumber salad that we both ordered from. No big selection of chutneys here. Mint. Raita if you ask. Pepper flakes. Their pizza appeared to be popular — every table but ours had one. Our samosas were good; but the few bites of garbanzo beans that came with them were the best thing we ate there. Delicious. For us, the Chaat Café is not a place we would go back to for dining in. Maybe carryout. The service was very good, though. You order at the counter. They bring everything to you after that.

I ate here twice. First time I had chicken tikka masala, second time was chili chicken(very hot!). :-) I would say the chicken tikka masala was better. I like that they have a dinner option, for about 3 bucks more you get both rice and naan(instead of having to choose) and two side dishes(lentil soup and paneer). The food here really exceeded my expectations. It was hot and delicious, better than any I’ve tried in Dallas. I would definitely return. Menu is excellent(good selection) and reasonably priced.

Walked in and they have a whiteboard with some specials. I picked the fish curry meal at $ 9.99. When the unenthusiastic counter guy rang me up, it showed $ 10.99. I pointed to the sign, and he said«the price goes up at 4pm.» He didn’t honor the posted price, so I had to say«the Unilocal rating goes down at 4:11pm,» which is when we ordered. I’ll never understand why restaurants are so dead set on running customers off over literally one dollar.

Please concentrate on the service. Being a pure vegan. I ordered a veg kofta curry and a chicken was served. Was safe enough to report it then and there. My order was served to someone else and someone’s else chicken to me. Seriously it was a shocker.

The best spot in Dallas to grab a quick bite of Indian food. It’s a fast, efficient, casual place to get a quick, delicious bite to eat. No, they don’t have a buffet — which means the food is freshly prepared and delicious. The people that work here are absolutely great at recommending something you like. A lot of the food is moderately spicy, but they seem to be able to increase or tone down the heat on almost any dish. All the entrees come with either an «a la carte» or as a «dinner» option. The a la carte includes an entrée with either rice or naan. The dinner is the entrée, with rice, naan, dal(a lentil soup), and a cucumber salad. They usually also have one or two dishes that are specials where you get most of the dinner entrée for an a la carte. Every time I come here, I always have enough left over for lunch the next day too. Highly recommend this spot! Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Dallas.

Three stars sums it up perfectly. Nothing bad but average food, average service, average portion, average price.

Been coming here for years with my daughters, and always leave happy! We love the great Indian food from the menu(no buffet), and the occasional special that looks enticing(posted on a small board inside the front door). Bollywood movies playing on the tv are always too loud — but that’s part of coming here, so be warned but that should not keep you away. Tried the pizza once and was not impressed — but pizza should be about the last thing you come here for…

It’s become almost a tradition for my girlfriends and I to lunch here before we all part ways for college after each break. Suffice to say, we love practically everything from this place! Favorites are the tikka masala and delicious samosas, and the stuffed naans are extremely filling and not very pricey either! The tikka masala chicken pizza is not as special as we thought it would be, so we’ve only gotten it once and decided to stick with more curry dishes. So far the service hasn’t disappointed us, and each time we’ve gone(usually for Sunday lunch) the restaurant is about a quarter to half full.

This is the first Indian place I’ve tried in Dallas. I had my go-to spot in Oakland and was missing it tonight. Totally hit the jackpot with Indian Chaat Café! Tadka Dal, naan, aloo gobi, papadum. Loved it all. It’s a casual restaurant, you order at the counter and take the number to your table. Food took a while but they were busy. Can’t wait to come back!

This corner of Frankford and Preston is quickly becoming my favorite for restaurants in North Dallas. The food is excellent here and this is now our go to Indian restaurant in the area. I generally love fast casual restaurants, but the service is a little slow here, so ordering ahead might be a good idea. However, everything tastes very fresh and homemade, so I will wait a little longer for the good flavors. The prices are a little bit more then this typical style of restaurant, but again I think its worth it. My husband and I came in for lunch and it was not very crowded, but it was Christmas Eve. My husband ordered the chicken tikka masala, His favorite with naan. I had the saag chicken which was a special so it came with naan and rice. The rice and naan are both significant in size. Rice has good flavor, but the naan is amazing. I would come back just for naan. Both of our portions were good sized with a decent amount of chicken. We both took half of our portions home and definitely could have shared. Chicken tikka masala we have had a lot of places and this is a good one. I have never had saag before, but I am definitely now a fan. Neither were spicy, but were flavorful. This will be our go to Indian restaurant in the area.

I’ll be back most likely to try other items on the menu. Rating is purely for the quality and taste of food, not service. Nice but very slow for a casual restaurant. Takeout orders take a while(waited 45+min) so make sure you call ahead of possible. There’s a tad preferential treatment to those they know or put up a fuss to get food quicker, so the timing of order doesn’t always apply. A few folks after me ordered the same type items and got it ahead.

My co-worker brought me here for lunch and ever since then I am hooked on this place. I tried out many other Indian restaurants and am always referencing back to ICC about how good the food is. My favorite dishes are Chicken Korma, Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Kabab. The Chicken Korma comes with a delicious cashew cream sauce. It goes well with rice and naan. The sauce looks similar to yellow curry, but it’s not. If you can’t handle spicy curry, then this will be your best dish to order. The Saag Paneer is another great veggie dish. The spinach complements well with the Indian cheese. It didn’t taste heavy on the cheese; rather, it tasted light and had a good flavor to it. The chicken Tikka Kabab presented with a sizzling iron plate. As the dish is being brought to the table, you can see the burning smoke which smells incredibly appetizing and makes your mouth water! Great place to go have splendid India food!!!
