Sona MedSpa of Dallas – Northpark

The staff is friendly and professional, but the treatment results from Sona are, at best, average. I completed a full package of laser hair removal and even purchased an additional touch-​up treatment, yet the results are still «meh».
I went to another laser hair removal provider and completed treatment packages with them, albeit for different body parts, and the results were excellent. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to re-​purchase an entire new package for the same area Sona treated, meaning my money spent trusting Sona MedSpa of Dallas was a waste. I recommend looking elsewhere for your laser hair removal needs.

Alma is awesome. Very friendly and gentle with my laser hair removal treatments. I love and highly recommend the Soprano machine on Super Hair Removal setting.

BEWARE of these people and their practices. They claim to have an «on staff medical doctor» overseeing their practices, but I have yet to ever see or meet one at any of visits, even when I had medical concerns. I had laser hair treatment and chemical peels there, which are sadly WAY overpriced and the young lady that took care of my treatments didn’t seem to do her due diligence by asking me required questions such as how much sun exposure I had prior or medications that were consumed before or during. I had no idea that these factors plus more were crucial to know to prevent any skin damage. One of their staff members even sold me some chemical peel products, unbeknownst to the office, as a side cash deal! She provided me with directions on how to use them, but I just never got around to using it, because I wasn’t quite confident on using them on myself; there’s a reason why I paid for the service. I was told I had one more chemical peel treatment left, but I decided not to get it because I found no benefit with these treatments; my face actually got worse. Weeks later the office manager, Chelsea, said no more chemical peels were available to me when I had requested that she just refund me the difference of that one chemical peel that I did not want to receive. They refused to refund me the one chemical treatment that I was still owed and they refused to refund me the cash that their employee robbed me of for selling me the chemical peels that I voluntarily returned.
Horrible and shady practice!!!
BEWARE! There are other reputable places (dr offices) that don’t charge a ridiculous amount of money and have good work ethics.

Hands down the best medical spa in Dallas!!! For years I have dealt with embarrassing cellulite & after wasting money on treatments and creams that didn’t work I finally went to sona & have been cellulite free since!!! Sona’s body contouring treatments are the best investment I have ever made & I highly recommend them to anyone with unwanted cellulite! It’s been over a year since my treatments & my results are amazing!
I’ve recently started laser hair removal & I’m loving the results after just 2 treatments! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable & takes the time to explain everything in detail so you know exactly what to expect!

I’ve only undergone 3 treatments, so far, but my experience there has been great. I originally went for some facial hair removal, but ended up getting bikini and underarm treatment as well. The underarm is already almost all gone. I’ve talked with friends that have had laser hair removal in the past at other places, and they all told me it would take several treatments. So, I’m going into this with realistic expectations.
The main reason I loved this Sona location so much was the way their staff treated me. I get the same technician each time I go in (Andrea). She is so amazingly sweet and patient. I mean, if someone is working on your most delicate areas, you want to be able to trust them! She was constantly checking on me «Are you okay?» «Is that too intense?» «Just remember to take deep breaths.» «You’re doing really well.» I felt like she really was concerned about me. They are also so considerate there. For one of my appointments, the tech was running late due to car trouble and they were really booked up that morning. They asked me if it would be possible to reschedule, and since I didn’t have anything else to do, I did. Because I agreed to reschedule, they gave me a free facial!
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it is rather costly and I don’t know the full results yet. I know any kind of laser hair removal is costly though. I’ll post another review after all of my treatments are done.
