I’ve been coming here for acne issues since 1994, when i was 14. Twenty years later now I’m coming here to improve my skin and for use of dermal fillers. This staff is the nicest all around. A real person answers the phone, normally Kathy. They always answer my questions and can fit me in. They often run specials and I got a great deal on my Belotero balance and their RN does the procedure. She is so gentle and did a great job. They also do a small cash discount for procedures. In addition to that Dr Alkek sells 12% glycolic acid lotion in office for under $ 30 and doesn’t require any appointment for that, you can walk in and buy it. This stuff is amazing and a bottle lasts for almost a year. I’m 35 and people still think I’m 25. This office has helped me stay young looking, despite my years of having«a little too much fun.»

I started using him around 1990. Yes, he is direct and to the point. He doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear. Yes, it can be expensive, but is still within reason, and you get what you pay for. He correctly diagnosed a skin condition one time that another doctor misdiagnosed. I would have saved money by going to him the first time. Over the years, I have come to trust him, and I don’t trust most doctors. I initially found him by calling around Dallas to other dermatologists and seeing who they would recommend. His name kept coming up to the point it was obvious who to go to. He’s not perfect, but he and his staff come close. He has a great staff who have his back. I easily have confidence in them together as a team. When he retires, I’ll probably still go there, because I would hope he’ll name his successor.

He was voted the best derm. in Dallas many years ago, but it wasn’t for his bedside manner. He is abrupt to the point of being rude and very expensive. Not impressed.
