I’ve been a customer/client since 2011 and I was undergoing Chemo treatment for cancer. One day after an emotional day at the hospital, I had a meltdown and needed to get away, as luck would have it, I drove by Nail Works. I went in, and as with the past reviews they did have a small Boutique area in the front. It never bothered me as I know they’re business minded. Now, they’ve replaced that with elegant chandeliers and a more organized look for a spa. The first time I went in there, everyone was extremely nice and helpful as I was visibly not feeling well and emotionally just not there. The ladies took the time to make sure that I set down and that I was OK and make sure I had everything I needed while I was getting a pedicure/manicure. It was because of the very first time that I went there, that I keep returning. How I was treated when I was visibly sick with cancer that I’ve returned constantly as a customer today. They have everything a spa could offer and used the following services, pedicure, manicure, gel, massage, facial, wax and of course when offered red wine, I don’t turn it down. My favorite pedicure is the spa with honey. Smells great! These past couple of weeks I’ve been under the weather and they have been more than accommodating to my needs. I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the women that work there and their families, even know them on a first name basis. I like the consistency of seeing the same happy faces every time I go there over the years, I feel at ease and I’m able to relax. I highly recommend visiting them, they do get busy on the weekends. I normally call ahead and make sure they have a slot open for me. They’re always eager to accommodate my needs, which is of the most important, especially my health needs.

I’ve had so many mani/pedis in my life. But let me tell u re Mandy the Amazing. She gave me the absolute hands down bar none BEST pedicure I’ve ever had!!! I shouldn’t tell u guys so I can keep her to myself but I must share the wealth of knowledge. Her hands are so strong but yet gentle as a cotton ball. She listens to ur unspoken cues n u will leave utterly relaxed n smooth as butter. I will be back a lot more often know how just to have her work her magic on me. #TeamMandy

Had a wax today with Kathy, who states that she’s done Brazilian waxes for 22 years. I will say that I have only been receiving Brazilian waxes for about 10 years, but this was the worst wax I’ve ever had. I’m pretty sure this is another case of a nail salon trying to make extra $ by waxing even though not accredited to do so. Kathy was so bad that I had Rose come in and finish off the job, and she was much better. Of course Kathy stormed out and said I just couldn’t handle the pain, which is clearly not true having waxed for 10 years. I would say don’t come here for waxing, especially since a Brazilian is «$ 45 and up» and they’ll likely try to charge you $ 55-$ 60 if you don’t pin them down in the beginning, which I did. For that price, go to Pretty Kitty where for the same price you get pleasant, competent aestheticians with clean towels and a clean wax.

My friend and I went for mani/pedi’s and I was horrified at my friends manicure when we left. Her technician butchered her cuticles and made two of them bleed to the point where she had to put the blue stuff on them to stop the bleeding. And then one of her cuticles was still swollen several hours after we left! Her light gray polish looked thick and sloppy, which we both thought was weird because her pedicure turned out nice. Mine was mostly average, but I once I got home I had to go back over the manicure where she didn’t paint the sides or close to my cuticles. I have been here a few times before — but now with the accessories gone from the front of the store and the noticeable drop in clientele(we were the only two there today), makes me wonder if they’ve changed management? Their prices are good($ 25 basic pedi/$ 15 basic mani) and parking is better than some, but with so many other options nearby, we won’t be back.

I really liked this nail salon… for an Uptown area nail salon, it was very chill. Manicurists were very friendly and very talented. Great selection of nail polishes and you can get a manicure and pedicure for $ 40.

My nails look good… but this trip the manicurist rolled her eyes at me when my chair on wheels rolled away from her and I struggled to roll myself back, the trip before that I left because the«5 minute» wait turned into 20, and the trip before that caused a finger bleed. But yea, my super short and hard to manicure nails do look nice! There’s more selection of shellac colors than most places and if you can ignore the front right corner of the stores that’s filled with sequined, glittery, dollar store purses and cell phone covers, the rest of the place is actually pretty nice.

Unfortunately I will not be returning to this place. I went in yesterday for a pedicure and shellac manicure. My pedi was great and the lady who massaged my legs was amazing. Then I moved to a seat for my hands and a different lady began. While she was cleaning up my cuticles two of my fingers started bleeding. When I looked down at my hand I noticed a chunk of skin had been cut from my ring finger. I told the lady to stop because my fingers were burning and after washing my hands went to pay for my pedicure. The guy at the front, Hao(not sure if that’s how it’s spelled), who had acted as the boss, did nothing more than offer me an apology. «Sorry, that happens sometimes.» That was it. I have had plenty of manicures and no one has ever made me bleed like that! Customer service fell very short on this one. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed I don’t get an infection.

Shellac Mani and Pedis are great. Staff is friendly and it seemed like a clean place. The only thing that I could complain about is the knock off bags they have for sale by the register. That is why I am giving them 3 stars instead of 4.

I walked in to a large, clean, open space with massage chairs lining both walls. The chandelier twinkled over head and drew my attention to a little gift shop by the front desk. Fake designer handbags, cell phone cases, and sparkly jewelry had me feeling like I was in a tiny NYC gift shop or seeing the best of Italian street vendors all at once. Unlike many nail places, all the chairs were in excellent condition and the leather all intact. The polish selection was varied with plenty of O.P.I. and the bottles looked reasonably new. On to the good stuff. I was seated promptly on a Sunday afternoon and offered a menu of pedicures: classic, sport, spa, or delux. I chose the spa for $ 33. It began the usual way a pedicure does, but quickly I was treated to an exfoliation of my feet and calves. After that, the usual filing and buffing continued. Then came the mask for my calves and feet, wrapped in hot towels, and left to relax. I appreciated the slow pace, so as to do a good job. She was very thorough with my cuticles and with the pumice on the underside of my feet. Not all places are, so I appreciated that. I can’t wait to go back!

My review is only for Tyson — he is amazing. Extremely meticulous with pedicures, I had not gone in 3 weeks and was running every day and the polish stayed on. He is just fantastic.

I am in love with the Spa Pedicures here! I wanted to take these guys home with me — or marry the man who was rubbing my feet down with warm rocks. Oh my good god. It was heavenly — and a lengthly ordeal too, I haven’t had such a good pedicure in a loooong while.
