The brisket here is AWESOME! I ordered a half-pound of chopped brisket and it was so moist and tender — I couldn’t believe how good it was!(My mouth is watering re-living the experience!) I also ordered a ¼ pound of their spicy cheddar sausage and that was pretty awesome as well. Everything tasted great topped with their bbq sauce that they have out on the tables. I didn’t order any sides this time but from what I saw, the fried onion strings looked pretty appetizing and so did the brisket stuffed baked potato. I spent a total of $ 14 for just those two meat items. You can easily spend $ 20 bucks here for lunch. This place beats Lockhart by a mile(be sure to check out my less than stellar review). I will be back, and next time I’ll bring a bigger appetite and a bit more cash.

Ok but not great. Lockhart has em beat for sure. Nothing special about sides. No PBR or crackers, lol. Need to take note of how the big boys do it in central texas.

Pretty good spot for family and they have a stage for the band’s that come out and play. I had a 2-meat plate with 2 sides. So, I had turkey & ribs, and cheese potatoes & collard greens. The potatoes are cut like hash browns with cheese, and was really good. The collard greens were okay, a bit bitter but they were okay. My ribs and turkey was good. Not to mention the lemonade is goooooooodddd!

I was in Dallas January 16, 2016 and I told my sister that I wanted some BBQ she said I know just the spot and Trinity Grove we went to BABBBROS… OMGOODNESS, the best Bar BBQ ever, it was sooooooooooooooooooo good. All I can say is is if your ever in Dallas make BABBSBROS your stop. I live in LOSANGELES, CA. we have some good and delish BBQ but I wish I had some BABBSBROS right about now. DELISH. The Blues Band was really good to. Nice Area very Beautiful.

Decently smoked meat and a nice atmosphere. Definitely not a place I’d want to go back to on my own. Maybe if a group of friends wanted to try it. Sausage was greasy, brisket was on the dry side, bbq sauce was different and not to my liking. Green beans were really good, though.

The customer service is great. Nice friendly staff and clean establishment. Just not a fan of the food. The turkey was mediocre, the ribs were only passable, the jalapeño sausage tasted like grease. The greens were hard and still had the big stalks on the leaves and the cheesy potatoes had zero seasoning and where too thick in sauce. The only thing I enjoyed were the baked beans which tasted like the good canned brand, didn’t seem to be homemade.

Stopped by here for a late lunch and got their brisket and ribs. Their brisket was pretty solid with a good amount of moistness and smoke, but the ribs were only a bit better than average and happened to be a bit on the dry side. It’s hard to compete against a ton of good BBQ places here in Dallas but they are definitely on the level with the other top places(though I’d place them below Pecan Lodge /Cattleacks /Lockhart’s). The service itself was fast and there was a ton of seating in the restaurant. The place is absolutely huge and can seat a ton of people. Pricing was typical of high quality BBQ and I’ll say that I would consider coming back and trying more of the menu to get a better idea of how they stack against the other bbq joints.

Our Ribs were dry and bland… the service was ok, the cheese potatoes weren’t that good… just expected a better experience and meal… really disappointed

had to copy and paste my review from the«old location» — note, it’s still part of Trinity Groves, they just had to move across the street and(sadly) behind the restaurant strip because Trammell Crow is putting apartments on the other side of Singleton where the Babb’s was originally. So, here’s my review: my #1 favorite BBQ of all time!!! The ONLY place I will take non-Texans! YUMMMMMMMMMMM!!! Everything is so good! Ribs, brisket, and the sausage are all to DIE for! HUGE selection of sides — get the 1 or 2 meat plate with 2 sides, and you’ll never want to eat anything ever again. Mr. Babb’s banana pudding is a MUST — you’ll be ready for heaven after eating it! Can’t wait to go back!!!

I went in for the live music and cocktails but decided to try the collard greens. They had wayyy to much vinegar, almost no seasoning and really undercooked. Between the leftovers at my table I had about a pint to bring home. So I put them in a pot with chicken stock, onion powder, salt, Worscheshire, and a bit of liquid smoke. Then I rendered them down another 45 minutes and they were better. I know some folks use vinegar to tenderize greens but it’s best not to rush the process.

Great friendly service. We stopped by on 9÷19÷15 for a Birthday dinner. We ordered basically some of everything and it was all good. The bbq could have been warmer however. But the catfish was good and hot. Over all good place. Great location and they have live music which is always fun.

Great food and great live music on the weekends. Not thrilled with the rib tips with all the little gristle nibs(and $ 10/order ½ lb) … but that’s what they are so I’ll know next time. Love the brisket and the sides are really good!

Set in the new Trinity Groves development just West of downtown Dallas. The brisket, hickory sausage and ribs all had a good flavor and were tender. The green beans and cheesy potatoes side dishes were delicious as was their corn bread. Parking might be challenging given all the various other restaurants in the complex. Would’ve given 4 Stars if it weren’t for the live blues music which was blasting louder than a Metallica concert.

Utter crap. I don’t usually post vitriol about restaurants, however the dry tasteless shoe leather they are passing off as BBQ is a travesty not to be tolerated. The aforementioned meat is over salted and under smoked, yet somehow dry. Side as awful(saving the cheesy potatoes which come in at decent) Sauces taste like off brand bottled. It is EXPENSIVE an the portions are stingy as f***. Seating is loud. And high chairs sparse. The one redeeming food is FRIEDBREADPUDDING, simply fantastic.

Ok, so I like this place, but I didn’t love it. Located in a large space with a huge live band area and a bit of outdoor dining area in Trinity Groves. There is a huge amount of space but I can see it getting crowded because all the seating is for 6, at large tables so if you just have two you’re taking up a whole table. I can see people having to share tables at peak times. I liked the separate bar area… looked like a full bar. Staff serving the meal looked sad and didn’t engage. Staff in the dining room was friendly and helpful. The BBQ meat was good… turkey was moist, brisket had a fair flavor, sausage was tasty. The sides were a little lacking… fried okra was missing taste and fried onion strings were just salty. This was an ok BBQ meal and I’ll return but in Dallas, with all of the excellent BBQ options, you got to shine !

Could’ve saved the calories and went somewhere else for bbq. Cheesy potatoes were just cheesy and lacked flavor… same goes for the fried okra. I ordered the rib tips and some parts of it was so tough it was inedible which was a shame. Next time, i’ll skip this joint and go for bbq somewhere else.

We decided to try this out today when Off Site Kitchen was surprisingly closed for lunch. We were more than pleasantly surprised! We consider ourselves BBQ experts, cooking a lot at home and enjoying other established BBQ joints around town. We both had three meat plates. The turkey, brisket(super moist) and jalapeño sausage were stand outs. The onion strings were to die for and the cheesy potatoes were very good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the sauce. If you have awesome meats, you must have awesome sauce. :) The sauce paled in comparison to Big Al’s and Big Daddy’s. It was more of a vinegar based sauce, not my cup of tea. We won’t hold it against you and we will be back! Great food, cool atmosphere!

Let me start by, it is pricey… BUT well worth it ! you could say it is about 5 – 10 bucks more expensive than spring creek or even rudys barbecue yet the taste is way different and doesn’t leave you with that horrible stuffed feeling. Picture I am posting is the stage that is inside which we are going back this weekend when they have live bands on Fridays and Saturdays. Oh boy was the brisket and turkey just oh so good. You can’t go wrong with the sides either. This will be our new spot going forward!
