Excellent chips & salsa. I tried the street tacos. OMG! I can’t remember the last time I had tacos this good! This place is going to be a new lunch spot for me — good food, quiet and laid back.

Awesome fish tacos! Strong margaritas! Attentive staff… will be coming back with family when we’re in his area.

Add another so called«Authentic» Mexican restaurant to skip in Dacula. I’m convinced there isn’t one of them worth a darn. I ordered marinated grilled flank steak w potato enchilada, rice n beans. What I got was a well done thinly sliced ribeye cooked on a flat top. Did they think I wouldn’t know the difference? Sure seems like they did trying to pass that off. Sure a ribeye could be considered a better cut of beef but not when it’s ¼″ thick and NOT what I ordered. Guess I’ll add this to the list of places not to return to.

Let me start of by saying good Mexican food is getting harder to come by now and days, but Ranchero Mexican Restaurant in Dacula, GA is definitely a ray of sunshine! There are a lot of Mexican Restaurants in Atlanta, but this one get’s my A+ rating! The food is stupendous, and the margaritas made from scratch are tasty and refreshing! I love this new place, and it will be going back over and over again!

Great restaurant with great food. I do go or order from there about once a month. I live in the area and would be devastated if they could not sustain the business due to poor location. Please patronize them. They have great food and an awesome bar.

Just a fair visit as a first timer. Nothing too special. Taco salads are very expensive for a small bowl. I will not be getting it again. I was with a friend and the staff were very quick to judge and discriminate. But we’re human. Place was not busy and it’s at a weird location.

The first time I went here was my last. We ordered avocado slices for my infant son to eat and was served an avocado with a cut up produce sticker still on it which was odd because it was not in its shell. We told the server and was given what we were told was another one, but was clear that it was the same avocado and we were STILLCHARGED for it! Our flan was burnt and again we told the server. He said«yeah, that’s burnt» and walked away. He did nothing to try to fix the problem. Why would we ever go back to a restaurant that doesn’t care enough about their food or customers to fix their mistakes. Obviously, they don’t want repeat business.

Hands down best Mexican restaurant in the Dacula/Hamilton Mill area. I hate the restaurant is located in one of the most challenging strip centers in the area(Publix at Fence Rd and Auburn Rd) because the food is terrific. I am most impressed by the intense flavors of all the sauses and meats I have tried. My favorite dish so far is the Burrito Verde w Chicken. The chicken is actually flavorful and nicely caramelized on the flat top. The Verde sauce has an intense roasted tomattillo flavor with a decent spice. Salsa is a a chunky tomato that is a runny weak mess like I have had at other restaurants around. Atmosphere is well appointed and s nice bar for game watching. Hope this place has the legs to last as it would be shame to lose it due to the location.

My family got takeout from this restaurant as I sat for 25 minutes they didn’t get my order right. I was missing my kids meal and they got the type of meat on my other kids meal wrong. I would have not cared so much if it wasn’t about my kids. I do not recommend this place. I spoke with the manager and told her the issue even though they deliver she asked if I could drive back over with my two kids and get the correct meal. We have been there once before and I only went back because of the gift certificate the fajitas were terrible and I am sorry that I even bothered going back with the gift certificate.

This restaurant is enticing because it often has drink specials but the food needs improvement, but they do have potential in their menu. This is what I had: Chile Rojo(steak cut in small pieces in a red chili sauce) — sauce ok, meat low quality. Chiles Poblanos stuffed with cheese_-Better than other mexican restaurants but not authentic enough, but better than the Chile rojo Ceviche-(Shrimp)Beautiful presentation– Taste horrible, shrimp were like pieces of tasteless plastic Chips & Salsa– delicious! Bloody Mary TODIEFOR. This is the reason I will continue to go and of course the nice waiting staff.

I went to Ranchero for the first time last night for dinner. The staff definitely made me feel that our business was appreciated. I ordered the burritos deluxe, one beef and one chicken. Both were fine, although I preferred the chicken, and the dish was overwhelmingly smothered in red sauce. Their cheese dip and salsa have good flavor, even though the cheese dip was lukewarm when it arrived at the table. Overall, I prefer other Mexican restaurants in the area, but would consider going back when we have coupons, or on Tuesdays when kids eat free.

This place has great potential and they are just starting out so I will allow them that room for improvement. My wife and I were originally headed out for Chinese when we saw this inviting new mexican restaurant with a patio. We changed our plans and decided to give it a shot. The restaurant was very clean and the service was VERY friendly though our man disappeared somewhat toward the end of the meal. The food frankly needs a little tweaking still. I have had carnitas from at least fifty restaurants and I have never had it served without a guacamole salad. The pork was deep fried instead of roasted(which isn’t always a bad thing) but in this case it left the meat dry and overly chewy. It might not have been so noticeable if I had the moisture of lettuce, tomatoes, and guacamole that normally accompany this dish, to overcome the mouthfuls of dried out meat. Portion sizes were good and prices were as expected. We will probably try this place again in a few months and see how thing have progressed. I wish them luck.

I was super excited to have a Mexican place open up so close to our house. I was not impressed with the food. The service was fine but the food was not my favorite. I will continue to drive the extra 10 minutes to El Molcajete for what I think is a much better meal.

I have never been to any of the other 3 Ranchero Mexican Restaurants, but my wife and I have been to this location at the opening and on two other occasions and it is awesome. It was obvious they had other restaurants since they know how to cook a great meal. My steak fajita was not overcooked and dry, but hot and moist and huge with lots of steak. The restaurant has a Mexican sports look with lots of TV’s to watch the game. They also have a nice bar area and outdoor patio. The service is great with someone always watching to see if you need something extra. Very clean, fresh friendly. Good luck on your new restaurant we will be back.

Ranchero Mexican is a fine Mexican restaurant, but it is nothing special given other authentic options in the area. It was actually kind of expensive even with a coupon. We’ll give them another try, but it’s certainly not our go to place for Mexican.

Great news for Mulberry Village! After two strikes or failed restaurants we now have a new establishment, Ranchero!!! My wife and I did the deed of going into the unknown Saturday evening. First, the crowd was large, actually the largest crowd I have ever seen in the Mulberry Village parking lot as it is on the end of Gwinnett with Publix. Walking into the door we were promptly greeted and seated. The menu is vast with appetizers, combinations, Fajitas, seafood, Tostadas, Specialties, Quesadillas, and even a Vegetarian side. Ranchero has a full bar plus outside seating. Not being too hungry I ordered Shrimp tacos with beans and rice and my wife chose the Vegetarian Quesadilla. My taco’s were ok, overall the shrimp was great but the lettuce was ice cold. I give this a pass as with all new restaurants they need to work out the quirks. My wife’s Vegetarian Quesadilla was outstanding, she gave me a taste but that was it. The seasoning was spot on, by that I mean you would swear there was meat in it. Very Good! 5 star. For a brand new restaurant trying to work out the structure I will say they were doing a great job. We need a successful restaurant in this location and with Ranchero, which have three other establishments in Jonesboro, Hampton, and Stockbridge, we may have a winner!!! Give them a try. Hey! if you feel to fat when your done just drive ½ mile up Fence to Little Mulberry park and walk it off.
