Del Rio Mexican Grill

I like the food here but with kids it’s not optimal to go and wait 2hrs. We used to do Togo orders as it was more convenient however that has gone down the drain! Every time you call to place a Togo order the kitchen is «too busy» to take any Togo orders… really??? You could also hire more staff! That is horrible business as you would think they would want to have as many orders as possible. Shows the owner could care less about families and would rather them wait 2hrs which is not worth it at all. I kept giving them a try because I do like the food but never again, I have pushed people away from here as much as I can. Will never understand this practice and its sad because it WAS a great place.

Great menu, not only good Mexican but also have a nice variety of wings and burgers.
They always have incredible live music, a awesome patio and a seperate poker room and bar. Just a perfect gathering spot.

Disgusting, is like frozen food. How can this be a «Mexican food restaurant» when they don’t even know how to made burritos, quesadillas ect… Everything is horrible and but customer service

Great service, good food, relaxing and fun patio. Parking lot was full and we could smell the food before we pulled in so we figured the food would be good. They offer two types of salsa.

We ate here for the first time and both myself and my husband had severe stomach issues about an hour after we got home. Very unusual. The food wasn’t bad but we have been too scared to go back. It’s always packed which surprises me, maybe it was an isolated incident

I was highly disappointed with my visit here. I ordered fried fish tacos. When I bit into them, the fish was still FROZEN! I sent them back and the waitress apologized and blamed it on the restaurant being busy. It was a Wednesday night! They brought out new tacos, however everyone else in my group was already finished with their meals. I received no apology from the manager AND was still charged for my meal. Poor customer service to say at the least.

My wife and I come here pretty regularly on Fridays for a quick bite and a drink. The food is average and pretty typical for a local tex-​mex place. Not horrible… but not great. Margaritas are good. It gets PACKED pretty early and parking is ridiculous. Bar crowd for the most part makes this place thrive. Music entertainment is usually pretty good. Not a great place if you have little kids. Service is hit or miss. The owner owns the entire shopping center, which might explain the lack of parking.
Ok. Second review. We are NEVER coming back. An hour and a half for an order of three tacos and my wife ordered steak quesadilla. No parking unless you wanna park in the muddy lot outside the paved parking lot. Its gone to shit. Sad.

I have enjoyed going to Del Rio for years. Their food is always fresh… best Texas Margaritas in town… and the best live entertainment in town! Joe Hall rocks the house (country music) on Wednesday nights at 6:30 and on Friday nights at 8:30. If you haven’t heard him play, you are missing out! Management is very courteous and the wait staff is great!

My family loves this place. The food is always fresh and pretty tasty we love the sunday brunch its absolutely the best if you are looking for variety and its so cheap! The service is great. The ladies and gents out there are super friendly and the fact that they have great entertainment while you eat. The margaritas are so good! best bar tenders are Katie and JD. The manager is very friendly as well.

Went on a wednesday… ayce wings… wings at a mexican restaurant… i thought the same… cajun wings r the best. The honey bbq r 2^nd!!! Highly recommend this place. The music is always awesome! Will be back def!!!

Great place to eat and the staff is super friendly, the food is good and the portions are huge. The best thing to order is la lancha with chorizo its a bunch of meat smothered in cheese dip served with tortillas yum! And although I just turned 21 my parents have been going there for years for margaritas, and I must say they are some of the best I have ever had.

awful awful awful. we were here for 3 hours not intentionally. took an hour to get our food. there was only 5 of us. the check took over 30 min. we went into the bathroom to find our waitress Louisa on her damn phone. I ordered the bbq nachos but by the time I got them I was no longer hungry. I also ordered them to get all the extra stuff and it they came as normal. I also ordered a side of rice, never got it. the only good thing was the live music they played that night.

The food here is pretty decent, better than you would expect from a strip-​mall mexican place. The drinks are good (Especially the Mike’s Margarita!!).
The reason for the low review is the service. Nearly everyone I have had there has been rude and inattentive. They treat you like you are bothering them.

Went here for a Birthday, party of 20, the first to arrive was the Honoree, she asked if they could sit and order drinks, and wait for the other 6 people, she was told by Jennifer. No all of your party must be Here, mind you this was at 5, when we got to our table which was not enough room for all of us we asked for another table so we moved one table 3 feet to make room for all of us, so the poor waitress didn’t have to do it, I waitress for a party of 20, This woman named Jennifer came and told us we can’t do that, very rude, will never ever eat here again and the food was OK, steak tough, server did her best. Customer service was lacking, by who I was told by one of the staff was the owners niece, well hope he hears about this.

Ate here and only took about three hours and I was hovering the thrown in the bathroom. So if you really want your system cleaned, eat here! Its fast, and its even faster after!

Great food! I always order the fajita quesadilla but I traveled outside of the norm and tried their super burrito which was SuPer delicious :). My boyfriend favors the tri-​colored enchiladas. Great salsa and queso.

My wife and I have been here a few times and at each visit, we’ve ordered food and adult beverages. Upon finishing our meal, we have made our way to the door as quick as possible. While the food is alright and staff fairly quick with service, the «live bands» performing have been out motivation to leave. A band of «old guys» practicing on stage seemed to be there every time we choose to eat at Del Rio. Maybe one time, we enjoyed the music. One time!!!
So overall, food– not bad, staff– ok, music– horrible, price– fair.

We live in the area and used to come here a lot. Del Rio is hit or miss at best. Sometimes it good, not great and others it’s downright horrible like last night. I ordered fajitas and they were burnt to the skillet. The wife ordered some type of skillet steak with cheese and the cheese was skorched. Her dish was something she was trying for the first time. We told the server it wasn’t good and she apologized but never offered to take it off the bill. Probably should have refused to pay for it but by that time I was just ready to leave. Oh and we had to kill a spider crawling on the table. Then today we read the latest health dept scores and they were cited for live roaches in the ice bin. We’ve stopped eating here before because of poor service and food and always gave them another chance but I think this was the last straw.

I live around the area, this place is maybe 8 minutes from me. I go there on occasion and sometimes i order for pickup.
ordering for pickup: it’s like a hit or miss. Whoever takes the order may or may not be familiar with the menu. Even when it’s as easy as combo #1, make sure you tell them exactly what you want (chicken, cheese, beef). Be clear if you want any substitution or extras. Like I said, it’s a hit or miss.
Food: it’s not expensive food, so you get what you pay for. I’m not saying it’s awful, or else i wouldn’t come back.
Ambiance: it’s always loud. They have live music sometimes and i know that some patrons go specifically for that reason. If you like that kind of thing, then this is the page for you.
Parking: parking is sufficient although you might have to take a longer walk whenever the restaurant is full.
