I truly don’t understand some of the reviews on this page that are negative because I thought that there were some amazingly put together desserts here! Emily helped me gather together an assortment of desserts to give out as gifts to my clients, and I sampled a few for myself as well and thought their strawberry cupcake was my favorite! Made from fresh strawberries all the way around, I finished it in about 3 minutes. This bakery is ran by sisters, and can I just say Emily was truly so nice and the customer service was also wonderful. Give it a try!

The hubby and I had a taste for something sweet and found this lovely bakery right in our own neighborhood. We were given a sample of a macaroon(I had never tasted them before), then we ordered 6 cupcakes. these cupcakes were heavenly! They were moist, and the flavors(Peanut Butter Chocolate, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Birthday Cake all good) came shining through. And the frostings were just right. Joy and Sweets is our new spot for tasty treats.

Well I like trying new places and my mom wanted to try this place since it’s in the neighborhood. I am confused because I see all these high ratings. I guess different strokes for different folks. Sorry I feel the same way as Stacey b. I feel like you can’t mess up a cupcake. I love just about everyone’s cupcakes even the box ones. Lol. But this place man I first tired the ice-cream butter pecan it did not look or taste like butter pecan no flavor no taste just awful so the lady was so nice I decided to get a red velvet cupcake it was heavy, uncooked, no taste just awful. I could not finish it at all not a lot of sections she also needs more flavors for both ice cream and cupcakes. I did make a suggestion to get more flavors but that was before I tried the ones I had. Yikes sorry. Service was a 10. The product was a 0. I do not recommend this place at all.

Where do we start, the store owners are some of the best people we have ever dealt with. They are so professional. As for their products, I can not tell they are gluten free Most of the other gluten free stuff I’ve had from other places taste like its gluten free… Lol They pasties are the best. I would highly recommend this place for parties or just a small treat for yourself

I know my baked goods, and it’s hard for me to meet a cupcake that I don’t like, …but I met two today at Joy and Sweets. I bought three cupcakes; vanilla bean, birthday cake and salted caramel pretzel/chocolate. The vanilla and b.c. flavors were bland. The texture was dry, dense and chewy… as if they were make with sweetened pizza dough. The frosting was sugary(not creamy), stiff and cracking on top, a sign of staleness. However staleness alone could not account for the poor taste of these cupcakes. I could only take a couple of nibbles of each before throwing them away. They were quite possibly the worst cupcakes I’ve ever had. I got the chocolate for my BF. He hasn’t eaten it yet, but I can’t imagine he’ll enjoy it. I can’t speak for the other products they have to offer. With a 4.5 star rating, I’m assuming they have other flavorful treats that are of better quality. I can’t imagine they’ve build their good reputation off of those cupcakes… YIKES!!!

It’s a cute and spacious spot with maybe about 5 – 7 tables that seat 2. We only shared a moist and delicious red velvet cupcake. Not too sweet on the icing, which is nice. The women working were attentive and nice. There weren’t a lot of cupcakes because they seem to be making them at a pace to serve them fresh, but what was there was really tasty looking. Would come here again.

Delicious macaroons and cupcakes! My daughter and I ventured in here tonight and were beconned in by the awesome looking treats. Meet the sweet girl behind the counter who was one of the owners. Very friendly and welcoming. When we are back in this area we will definitely be back!

Delicious macarons. The two sisters who own this adorable bakery are incredibly nice and take great pride in their business. Amanda worked with me to find exactly what I wanted. I tried several flavors of macarons — the lemon and the seasonal cranberry-orange(surprise for me as this wasn’t the first thing I’d have chosen) were standouts. I took a dozen to a birthday party and they made such a pretty little gift. The shop is connected to LMA, which has great coffee, so it’s a nice little stop to get a treat. I won’t be able to resist stopping in any time I’m in the neighborhood.

The cupcakes were really heavy and dry while the frosting was overly sweet. The red velvet was not red velvet at all. As a side note, why are all of the cupcakes lopsided? The macarons were fresh and decent, but the fillings just tasted like frosting. Lette’s is way better for macarons. Took one look at the ice cream and knew I wouldn’t like it.

The cupcakes are as sweet as the service! I was on my lunch break and left my wallet at the office. Emily was«sweet» enough to let me take my Raspberry cupcake and pay later. Top tier customer service!

I read this in another review and I couldn’t put it better myself: «One of the owners gave us a sample of what ended up to be the best macaroon we have ever had. I rarely eat macaroons.» SO delicious. I’ve never been a huge macaroon fan, but these are delicate with complex flavors rather than the just overly sweet and sometimes dry flavors you get at places like lette and bottega louie. And those famous spots come with reps that should dictate better quality. The lovely girl there let me sample a few flavors(ALL amazing) and I ended up ordering several boxes for my clients as gifts. Try this spot! You will not regret it.

So, I actually have a complaint: I bought a box of a dozen macarons and brought it to my parents’ house. I had been told that the macarons could last a week in the refrigerator, but when I returned the next day, I took the box out of the fridge and all that was left was one cookie with a large bite taken out, and some very colorful(and delicious) crumbs. These cookies DONOT last very long. At least, not around my family.

Came here on a weekday afternoon to buy macaroons for work and happened to try their gelato ice cream and felt that the taste wasn’t different than your typical regular ice cream. Any time that I have gelato ice cream I feel the texture and the taste being more rich than regular ice cream. I didn’t get that from this place. I’ll also add that the macaroon was really hard from the outside and not soft at all. Reason it’s not 2 stars is because even though it was a bit crunchy, the taste was good.

So as I was eating this cupcake I was thinking about how I could really describe it. First things first, I got the white cupcake with the confetti. The frosting was a light buttercream, just a pinch too sweet for me which is rare for me. I loved the texture of the frosting. It was smooth. Now, the cake part is what is different and the reason I didn’t give them a 5 star review. The cake is probably best described as a moist pound cake. It’s on the heavier side. Not the light and fluffy cake I’m use to. The flavor is excellent though. Anywho, it’s a new place and I would definitely go again. It’s next door to a Ross and that’s actually how I even noticed it. They sell ice cream, the place looks clean, they take cards and the lady was nice. Oh yea, they had some really good flavors too.

Birthday cake ice cream was delicious. The lady working here was super sweet. Joy and Sweets shares an open wall with the«famous» coffee store next door which I haven’t tried yet. I would come back for the ice cream! And stay for the macarons!

This place just opened a week ago! The lady at the cashier was so nice. Got some macarons and a cupcake to go. The macarons($ 2) are a lot bigger than your normal sized ones which is great. It was super yummy! The chocolate peanut butter cupcake was for the BF but he was nice enough to give me a bite. It was moist and fluffy! I’m not even a fan of chocolate cake. Will definitely be back to try the birthday one. The ice cream is brought in from Straus Creamery which means it’s organic flavorful goodness! Such a nice addition to this strip mall! Can’t wait to come back. They also work with you for customizing macarons!
