I work at an ER Vet Hospital. The delivery was 30 min late and the woman refused to get out of her car to deliver my order. She was waiting in the parking lot. She threatened to leave with my order having already Paid for it. When I finally left my desk to get my food, she yelled and cussed me out. I told her specific instructions on how to get here, where to park, and to bring it to the lobby. She made a scene. Awful and lazy service for mediocre food. The point of delivery is for it to actually be delivered. Will call to get my money back and never use this place again.

Ordered delivery via Eat24hours. Said 45 – 60 minutes. Called after 60 minutes. Couldn’t find my order. Finally, he found it. Said it already left restaurant a while ago and he would call driver to find out what happened. Never heard back and no food ever arrived and they didn’t answer phone for the rest of the night. Never again!

I ordered delivery and was promised a delivery time within 45 – 60 min. The delivery person showed up after 90 minutes, had the wrong order and had the audacity to ask for a tip(even though I had already given a 25% tip when I ordered). When I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, his response was«I wish wish there was something I could do. Our delivery person showed up 35 minutes late.» No apologies, no refund, no nothing. Plenty of other places to order from. I’d advise using any other place.

More like House of Thieves. My husband and I ordered an embarrassing three times due to our hectic schedule, our stove being replaced, and a very strange craving for pasta. On September 17th(last night) I ordered Potato Gnocchi which is($ 2.00 extra) with an Alfredo sauce called«Pasta Genovese» and added mushrooms($ 0.75 extra). The Potato Gnocchi was rubbery, half of it was complete mush the other half had the consistency of gum. And the mushrooms we paid for were not in the dish. My husband ordered the Angel hair pasta with an «Amtericana»(yes that is how it is spelled on their website) sauce he too added Mushrooms($ 0.75) Sausage($ 3.00) neither of his add on’s were on his dish. We also ordered 2 cokes which were not delivered. We asked in the instructions to «please provide extra parmesan on the side and please honor our extras because they were paid for and not received on the last two orders.» I am unsure if that annoyed the owner but we did not receive our extras for a third time. And it felt almost spiteful that our sodas were not delivered and, the already, mediocre pasta we had ordered was even worse. Green peas($ 0.75) Extra Asparagus($ 0.75) Extra Mushroom($ 0.75 Extra) Green Peas($ 0.75 Extra) Shrimp($ 4.00 Extra) Mushroom($ 0.75 Extra) Green Peas($ 0.75 Extra) Chicken Breast($ 2.50 Extra) Mushroom($ 0.75 Extra) Sausage($ 3.00 Extra) Plus two soda’s at $ 2.00 I will no longer order there for a number of reasons. I told the manager about the orders not being correct. To the tune of owning me $ 17.50. When I called to talk to the manager I could hear him talking to someone else saying, «she said we messed up her order two weeks ago,» I immediately started explaining to him, that wasn’t true. And I had not said that. All I wanted was the two sodas from the night before and a correct order. The reason I had decided to call in my order instead of going through the website. I repeatedly attempted to explain to him the issue and each time he would cut me off, talk over me, and was incredibly rude. House of Thieves is a one star and that is being generous. The quality of the pasta tastes as though it is made in a microwave and if it’s busy the incompetent staff mistakenly hits 45 seconds more for about 3 hours before it arrives at your door step. The sauce you select will be bland. The service will be absolutely atrocious. The manager is an asshole. To Management: I have at least $ 60.00 in quarters for laundry sitting right next to me as I write this, I really was not trying to rip you off for $ 17.50. I was trying to bring to your attention that this was a problem. Also, that I wanted my two sodas. And, unless our order was correct we would no longer order from your business. You did not have to be as rude as you were. You did not have to LIE to who ever you were speaking to while I could clearly hear you. You did not have to lose a customer tonight. TL:DR: their pasta sucks, their attitude sucks, their management sucks, and you WILL get what you pay for. Except if you pay for chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, peas, sausage, or asparagus.

Worst restaurant in the city. I’ve ordered several times from these guys because they’re in my neighborhood. Usually they forget an entrée and I have to go back to get it. This time I used delivery and they took almost 2 hours to get me my food! Once it got here it was cold. It tasted ok, not great but not bad either. I don’t know why I keep going to these guys.

Review of delivery service/food My expectations weren’t high and I was pleasantly surprised. Delivery was almost exactly at the mid-point in the«estimated» time-frame. Salad was superb and they didn’t make either of the two common mistakes when delivering a salad. Dressing WAS on the side, and there was enough of it. Amazing how many places blow one or both of those things. Pasta was fresh, tasty and the sauce earned about 8 out of 10. Meatballs were good, but since I dine regularly at a place with amazing meatballs, they suffered a tiny bit by comparison. Most amazing thing about this experience? I had to call the driver back for his tip. He was surprised that I was going to give him one.

I see this place all the time driving around. Finally ordered on eat24 for pickup tonight. Pickup was a total nightmare. There is no parking, spoke to Valet and he told me that there are 3 restaurants in this little corner lot and only 18 spots, which 8 of them are used by employees of the restaurants. I would think they could park across the street. Food took a lot longer than what I would have expected, but the restaurant was busy, which I took as a good sign. Food quality leaves a little to be desired. My wife got Whole Wheat Penne with Contadina«sauce», there is no flavor at all and the pasta was NOT Whole Wheat. At least the vegetables and chicken are OK. I got gnocchi in arrabiata sauce with sausage, gnocchi and sauce is good, but they burnt the sausage. The bread that they gave was just tossed in a plastic bag and looked like the leftovers. Eh. Not disgusting, but not really worth a second look.

Review for Delivery Service: tldr: Decent food, but overpriced. Messed up orders on three different occasions; the last mistake cost us 2xs more than what we would have normally paid if we did not call in. We will no longer be ordering from this place. We used to order and do pick up from this place often because the food was cheap and the service great. However, the last three times we have ordered delivery, they have screwed up every single order and even reneged on their own promise. First out of the three incidents included a missing order. This was perfectly fine and we were willing to give them another try because mistakes happen. Second time, the same thing happened again with the same exact order. They promised us the next order we place with them, we’ll get the meal comped as long as we call them. We call in today and not only did we NOT get our meal comped as per their previous statement(the cheapest order item only), we find out that we were double billed-based on the EAT24 menu. We gave them opportunities to rectify their mistakes, we were understanding, and we were paid back with a much larger bill than usual and no desire to ever come back again. ************************ If you need your pasta fix however, I suggest you visit because their menu is a lot cheaper than the menu that House of Pasta based prices off of(which we were never aware of). Pay via credit card on EAT24 and your order will be half the price it usually is(which was a rip off for the quality).

TLDR: used to be good pasta at a good price, but these days you can get much better for less elsewhere. I used to order from here frequently on … the ametriciana sauce is fantastic, and the proportions are reasonable. Unfortunately, House of Pasta habitually forgot at least one item in every order. We gave them several second chances, but were repeatedly punished for doing so. Interesting information I discovered today: apparently their menu on eat24hours is much cheaper than it is in-person. I discovered this by calling in our order rather than place it online. We were given no price total before they hung up the phone. At the time we received the food, it was literally TWICE as expensive as listed online. I called to complain, and was informed nothing could be done, and the menu prices will be updated eventually. Unfortunate. The quality of food is fine for a cheap bite, but is no where near fine dining. While you can buy pasta for $ 8 online, go for it. It’s worth it. For $ 20, forget it. At that point, just go to Fritto Misto… better food, better prices. I and my roommates will not be returning.

The Ravioli was as close as you can get to Italy without getting on a plane. The Barbera which they recommended was perfect.

I have written a review for House of Pasta in the past, and felt I must write another one to praise the excellent italian food at this restaurant. I have had my share of Italian food(as I’m sure most of you have), and I find it very difficult to find real«un-Americanized» Italian food! In such a big city as LA, I have not found one that I can totally rave about! Except for House of Pasta. The owner/head chef has put together a menu that would satisfy anyone. I am never disappointed when I come here! The sauces that he puts on his chicken/fish/pasta dishes are out of this world. Not to mention, that he puts just the right amount so you can actually taste the food as well! And one last thing, the bread and olive oil with garlic and basil dip that they bring to your table is amazing!

I have to update that I no longer order from this place. I am a vegetarian and make that clear when ordering for pick-up, ESPECIALLY if asked if I want meat added. Too many times have they included shrimp, which I guess is the normal meat added for the dish I order, even though I order specifying the pasta and sauce. This is really unfortunate. I would pay less than $ 10 for a large proportioned freshly prepared entrée which was nice. Oh well, onto the next one.

I downgraded this place big time… why? Well the food is still very good… but of the 10 times or so that I’ve gone here to get pasta to-go, they’ve messed up my order. And each time its the same issue… i ordered chicken with my pasta, and they did not include it 3 times… THREE!!! WTF!!! This shit costs extra, and you didnt give it to me!!! One other time, they completely put the wrong sauce on my pasta… and since its to-go, i didnt realize the error till i got home… And this place has changed its décor so many times, they’re having an identity crisis… the dine-in section still lacks the feeling of a restaurant… you can definitely tell where they skimped on the remodeling. *** LIKES: Food is still good DISLIKES: They’re pissing me off by occasionally forgetting to put the chicken in the damn pasta that I paid extra for… VERDICT: GODDAMMIT I JUSTWANTMYORDERCORRECT!!!

Came here for a friend’s birthday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Situated in a small plaza at the corner of Jefferson and Mesmer, you’d miss it if you didn’t keep your eyes peeled. They’re not open on the weekends for lunch, but were kind enough to open the kitchen for our party of 15. Gold star for them! The sweet waitresses took our orders and toward the end of the meal asked us if they did a good job since it was their first day! The food was fine. The portions are generous and the prices for their lunch specials are phenomenal($ 5.95 for a full salad AND entrée). The restaurant itself is connected to the other storefronts in the same plaza. And by connected I mean there is a direct walkway through the restaurant to the café next door. They get 3 stars for the food, but I’ll give them 4 stars overall for the exceptional service and accommodation.

I’ve been to this place quite a few times now and it hasn’t let me down yet :) I don’t know how they do it, but it’s always very good… a good balance in taste… although I’m running out of options to try… lol I got Aurora sauce with penne and mushroom and a tiramisu. Not too heavy, but full of flavor! Chief Roberto is always a joy to see as well, not only does he make good food, he makes great company while I wait for my take out lol! Him and his son are both so nice! nothing beats a friendly conversation after a week of stress and depression I’d say =) one of these days I shall try out the sit down restaurant side with some friends! :D

I ordered a salad of mixed greens, kalamata olives, feta cheese, garbanzo beans, onions, cucumbers and zucchini with a balsamic vinegar dressing. The pasta was a basic angel hair with the Checca sauce which is tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and garlic. This is a Make-your– own-pasta. I just wasn’t in the mood today for building. So I went basic. The pasta is delicious! A nice light lunch and really good. The salad was huge. I ordered a small pasta and it was perfect. I’ll go again and try their lunch special at $ 7.95. They have a different pasta every day.

Very delicious pasta. Authentic from real Italians from Italy with the accent and all! =D hehe. Make your own pasta by choosing the type of pasta you want, the sauce you want, ingredients, etc. perfectly al dente. Just take out though. We went one night thinking we could«eat in» but they said House of Pasta is just take out, so then they guided us through the pillars and arches to the next restaurant called Polentini — BUT it’s the same kitchen so if you order the pasta it’ll be the same pasta as House of Pasta… very strange but that’s how it is. BF had the chicken picante at Polentini and it was good. I had the grilled salmon with grilled vegetables and that was good as well, though I thought there was just a bit too much olive oil drizzled over the plate.

This Culver City gem is the absolute go-to for Italian take-out. When building your own pasta plate you get to choose from over half a dozen dry pastas, over a dozen sauces, and then get to top it with vegetables, meat or fish. If you’re not feeling the pasta(there’s always that one person in the group), you always have the option of building your own salad, or trying out on of their pizzas. This really isn’t the place where you’ll find very many bargain-hunters, but you will find a quaint gathering of locals that have discovered the authentic flavors that this place serves up in nifty to-go containers. These Italians — by way of New Jersey — really know how to put together a great tasting dish. If that weren’t enough(which it really is), the service we’ve received has been exceptional. I suppose this is the elusive Italian hospitality that you hear about in those Olive Garden commercials.

I love House of Pasta. Their make-your-own-pasta carryout is a little pricey at times, but is extremely good and convenient. Their lunch dine-in is the absolute best. They give an unbelievable deal — 7.95 and you get a drink, soup or salad, bread, and an entrée with steamed veggies. They could easily charge $ 15 for it, but its only $ 7.95. Additionally, they have good desert, and they are actual real italians. Maybe it’s weird that I like that, but they are. The only big downside is the parking. You can find parking nearby if you have to, but their lot is a pain.

Whenever we feel like some good pasta, or a great salad or a great chicken milanese we order in from House of Pasta. The food always tastes delicious(I love all their pastas) and the delivery always comes quick! I’ve never eaten in their restaurant so I’m not sure how that is but I can vouch for their take out. The prices are also very reasonable. Looking forward to my next dinner from House of Pasta YUMMY.
