Had Mikey’s pizza last night. Delivery up the mountain was still hot and fresh when it arrived. Combo of pepperoni and extra cheese reminded me of a classic NY style street pizza (in a good way). A bit pricey at $ 21 for a large, but laziness has its price!

Fresh ingredients, great pizza and wonderful NY crust. The salads are farm fresh and tasty.
Staff is friendly and welcoming.

We love Mikey’s pizza. My kids always insist we eat there every time we are in crested butte. The pizza is awesome! Last time we also ate breakfast and it was awesome too! They have huge breakfast burritos. There is more on the menu than pizza. I loved their meatball sub. The food is always good and the service is always friendly.

Quick and easy way to get a slice. Slightly «out of the way» aka not on Elk Ave.
However, the slice of pie I had was HUGE, we had two pieces for a mere $ 7. Tasted just like NYC pizza. The crust is on-​point.
Not much room for sitting, but, they deliver! Out of all the pies in CB right now, I like this for quaint and on-​the-​go.

Absolutely the best pizza I’ve had outside of NYC. However in NY I’ve never had the appetite stimulus that is so plentiful in CB. I’m talking about trails and cycling here…
We are stoked that we didn’t wait to try Mikey’s until later in the trip, because now we can have another awesome pie before leaving paradise.
The crust is thin and just a tad sweet. I believe corn meal is used to move the pie from peel to oven and out. It taste of corn meal is very subtle and so well balanced by the sugar (?) in the dough.

If you order a slice of pizza from here, the girl uses her bare hands to pull the slices apart from the pizza. Not very sanitary after watching her handle money and answer the phone right before our order. Makes you lose your appetite while waiting in line.
Also, if you order more than one slice, they put the slices a paper plate and then on top of each other so they all stick together.
The place feels like a hole in the wall, which sometimes has the best food. The pizza itself was not bad and the slices are big.
But the whole place needs to be cleaned up and they need to up their food handling standards to a normal restaurant level.

This may be the best pizza in CB. I know there are others that get a lot of publicity (I’ve given them props as well), but Mikey’s is my favorite pie. Where others have interesting toppings and outrageous combinations, Mikey’s delivers a solid pizza that competes with the best around.

Great pizza! A must when visiting Crested Butte. Off the beaten track by the ice rink but worth the effort getting there. Great delivery pizza, sandwiches and salads. Mikey and Mikey Jr. will prepare a fast and delicious meal for you anytime.
