This place is awesome! Order the meat candy, you wont regret it. The pizzas are of course very good. The Notorious F.I.G did not disappoint. Its probably a bit too intense for two people to share but if your in a group this should definitely be one of the pies you order. Service was good and this is a really cool place to hangout. I would have liked a better beer selection but that wasnt enough to knock a star off.

Had yet another great experience at the Stash. What delicious and creative pizzas they have. If you’re going for your first time be sure to try out a specialty pizza on their menu before you make your own. I’d recommend the Woodward, Steazy Rider, Tahoe Bluez or Spicy Wais. If you party is split between wanting pizza or hamburgers then get the Mac Daddy. This is an awesome pizza which tastes just like a big mac, complete with sesame seed crust. If you’re not in the mood for a whole pizza check out their slice specials and get a trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is well stocked and full of fresh veggie options, it’s a must have for sure. Overall, this place is awesome and almost gets 5 stars and definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in CB.

When I’m craving pizza in the butte, I’m going to the secret stash. I absolutely love the atmosphere in there. Sitting on the pillows by the window so I can people watch is my favorite. The service has been nice every time I’ve been there. I only did appetizers last time I was there and they were amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever done apps there before. I’m normally just getting the pizza, which is good and unique too! I got the margarita to sip on and it was great(not too sweet or too strong). If I wasn’t being rushed, I would’ve sat there all day and enjoyed the margs and more of their deliciousness!

Definitely worth the stop if you like pizza. Super weird décor, but hey, it makes for a fun time just sitting there and looking around at some of the weirdness. The creative menu is great, my wife and I split the Steazy Rider and it was awesome! The biggest downside is the pricing, it’s basically $ 20+ for most 12″ pizzas, which seems like a lot to me for pizza. And my wife has a gluten allergy, which is a $ 2 up-charge for a 10″ thin crust(pretty standard), so unless I want to spend $ 50+ for dinner, we have to end up splitting a 10″ thin crust pizza, which still cost us $ 25, and we still end up going home a little hungry.

Amazing … this place rocks! Staff, drinks, and the pizza … OMG … tried Notorious F.I.G(delectable), Steazy Rider(with a garlic base), & where’s the beef(added prosciutto) … where to start … the flavor combinations were to die for … simply amazing. The house margaritas have a blend that does not have the typical bite, very smooth and easy drinking using a 100% blue agave tequila! The atmosphere is amazing … from the very personable staff to the Nepalese decorations this place has everything you want in a place to eat … Big upstairs area for couples, familes, and groups, but then there is double the space downstairs in a very cool space with velvet couches, niche tables, and another huge bar!

This place is amazing! They have several different options and the staff were really sweet. The restauraunt itself was a indian style like place. There were puppets and tables that had seats below the floor. It is a very cozy place and even has its oen gift shop. The pizza itself is delicious! Plenty of choices to choose from, TOO many… I think they really need to shorten the list a bit… The reason why i gave this restauraut 4 stars is that no restauraunt is perfect and they all need a little work somewhere.

The Secret Stash, oh The Secret Stash. The Notorious F.I.G. alone is enough to justify this review. On top of the fact that all of their pizzas(Not just the fig) are amazing, they also have a great staff. They always are attentive and check on you, and make sure you’re enjoying yourself. Their food is fantastic, there are so many combinations, and they always aim to please. They have a great beer selection, mostly Colorado craft, and are decently priced. They’re my go to every time. The F.I.G. is like my crack and anytime I’m in CB I have to get one.

One piece of advice: Don’t leave without ordering the Krack Fries. And ask for an extra side of the dipping sauce to dip your leftover pizza crust in. YUM. The décor and vibes of this place are awesome. The owners are well traveled, and the décor is eclectic and interesting. Pamphlets on every table explain where everything is from. The staff is so cool and friendly. I would come back every day of the week to try each and every one of their pizzas. Hell yeah. Secret Stash would get two thumbs up, but I’m too busy using my thumbs to eat my pizza.

In town for work and wanted a decent salad bar, my coworker referred me here… Not only did I get a salad from there awesome salad bar but when I saw there pizza I had to get a slice… Delicious!!! The bar tender wasn’t terribly friendly but the young lady making the pizzas was awesome!!! She made veggies pizza with lemon slices, goat cheese, spinach, and dried cranberries… What a brilliant and creative mind she has, it was the best pizza I have ever had and I am a pizza snob!!!

When I was game planning our recent trip to CB several people told me about Secret Stash. I’m so glad I listened to them! I can imagine that Secret Stash is over the top busy during ski season, but it would be worth the wait. We had the«Notorious F.I.G.» pizza. Sounds bizarre but it was quite good. I’m not at all a fan of bleu cheese, but even that didn’t keep me from remarking how great it was. The combo of cheeses, figs and prosciutto was perfect. The«Crack Fries» can’t be missed either. A huge pile of truffle and parmesan fries. Ridiculous. They do have a «slice of the day» option as well. I really should have loosened my belt and got a piece. The description sounded awesome. Oh well, I’ll know for next time. Service was so-so but the food made us forget about that. NOHAPPYHOUR…

I didn’t have the best experience here, but I can easily recommend that everyone should come in here to try the Notorious FIG pizza. Service was slow and I’m not a big fan of Buddhist and Nepalese-ish décor everywhere, but the entirety of Crested Butte is smothered in the stuff so it wasn’t a huge surprise. That fig pizza though. So this is an easy recommendation. The fig pizza is most likely the best pizza I’ve ever had, but the atmosphere was annoying, but that’s no big deal.

Here are the steps to achieve nirvana: 1. Go to crested butte. 2. Eat dinner at the Secret Stash and order enough to have leftover pizza. 3. Hide your leftovers in a fridge overnight. 4. Pick a hike for the morning, ideally during fall colors. 5. Bring the leftovers and do not eat them for breakfast. 6. Leave the pizza in the car while hiking to get to room temperature. 7. Hike. Can you even believe how beautiful it is here? I can’t. 8. Get back to the car and dive into the box. Try to share with others. 9. Experience nirvana. :)

Secret Stash is a must every time I come to CB, sometimes we go twice. They do suffer a bit from being so popular that they don’t have to always be amazing, so my experiences can be a bit hit or miss. — Really busy during peak times + no reservations can equal a long wait time — Pizza can be super amazing to pretty decent, based on the day — Staff can be really friendly and amazing to somewhat curt and rude based mostly on busy-ness — Love the different crust additions — Hampton’s or Woodward, Buddha’s Belly, Spicy Wais, and Notorious FIG(if you LOVE mushroom flavor) are standouts — A little pricey than your normal pizza place, but to be fair, these aren’t your average pizzas — GF crust is decent, crispyness for those Gluten intolerant who don’t mind paying extra to get their pizza fix Random bad experience: Worst time was coming early evening as a party of 2, and having to wait for 45 minutes when there were plenty of empty tables around and seeing other parties of 3 – 8 coming after and being seated before us because they don’t like to seat a party of 2 at a 4 person table and we didn’t want to sit at the bar. That put a really bitter taste in my mouth and is a bad business practice.

I think I need to preface this review by saying that Secret Stash doesn’t care, nor does it need the raving review I’m about to give it. This restaurant is my favorite restaurant… in the world. I first visited in 2010, when the Secret Stash was housed in… well, it seemed like the basement of someone’s house. I remember walking through hanging beads to get to our table. Now in 2015, things are a bit different. The new space is big(2 levels– main floor with tables and a big old-west style bar and a downstairs level that you’re pretty sure you’re not cool enough to hang out in), and the Stash has somehow distilled everything mountain hipster into a décor and ambience that is weird, welcoming, and somehow avoids the annoying pretentiousness that makes people hate hipsters. The pizza is absolutely amazing for some of the same reasons. The ingredients, while not completely novel, are combined in weird ways that once tasted, seem like the most natural combinations possible. I got the Notorious F.I.G., a pizza that features dried figs, prosciutto, asiago cheese, and truffle oil. We also got an order of meat candy as an appetizer, because well… the name, «meat candy.» After a hard day of hiking, or in the winter time skiing, this is the ultimate place to relax, eat a whole 16″ pizza, and wonder why you don’t buy a house in Crested Butte and settle down next to the best restaurant in the world.

Man I love this pizza. I have been here twice. The Asher is my favorite. The place is usually packed, and that’s because the food and the craft beer selection is great. The pizzas are just so dang expensive, which is why I didn’t rate the restaurant higher.

Crested Butte has officially become my favorite Colorado mountain town. Not only is it in a stunning setting, but it has an authentic, old-time downtown with buildings from the last century and businesses with some real heart, soul and strangeness. Secret Stash is such a place. The décor is awesome. a colorful mix of flowery curtains and bric-and-brac. The basement«Red Room» is darker, and well redder, with books as decoration. It’s the kind of décor that is thought out but not overly designed. The food is the real secret though. The pizzas have some combination that you wouldn’t think would work but end up sublimely delicious. The Notorious FIG for example contains dried figs, mozzarella, asiago and blue cheeses along with prosciutto and a drizzle of truffle oil. It’s probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. The«Sideshow» is close, which is an inventive pizza that basically is topped with deconstructed stuffed mushrooms. Secret Stash also has a full bar including fun group drinks like the Volcano, which my friends and I shared. The servers and bartenders are all cool people, telling us stories of their day adventures hiking 14ers or mountain biking on the butte. Crested Butte is definitely off the beaten path, but in kind of a good way. You get a sense that awesome places like Secret Stash couldn’t exist if the city was too well-traveled.

We were bar hopping with friends when the delicious aroma of pizza drew us into Secret Stash. It was so good we came back the next day for brunch. Love the different flavor crust(salt and pepper). Wings were good(pizza was better). There’s a great outdoor area to enjoy the sunshine and yummy food. It does take a while to cook the deliciousness so be prepared. Must try the Notorious FIG(omg… truffle oil and figs? Yes, please! Pricier pie at $ 22 for a small but worth it)

A pleasant surprise in CB. Great service and food. Everything was wonderful, and thoroughly not what I expected when I went in. We went in for lunch on a chilly May afternoon. The pizzas were excellent, though not inexpensive, and our guy took great care of us. He went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. Be prepared, it wasn’t quiet in the afternoon(around 130p) so I can only imagine the place on a weekend night. The highest praise I can offer is that I’ll be back. Again, and again and again.

Pizza two nights in a row? Sure why not… it’s not we like aren’t burning 47 million calories each day snowboarding all over Crested Butte. Our group scored a booth down in the basement, which is maybe where they stash the secrets? Seems like it could double as a night club down there. With our eyes(and winter-sports tapeworms) apparently bigger than our stomachs we over-ordered a bit but the selection was great. The meat lovers pizza was a bit too much and was not a big hit with the group, while the others we ordered were great. I recall a decent craft beer list there as well as up at the bar. Considering we were just a few blocks and there are not a lot of places to pick from in town this was the hit of the week if I recall correctly
