So my first time here. I can honestly say that customer serves is not that great. Front counter can give to shit about customer. Our chef or what ever they are called was amazing. I have always heard great things about the restaurant but I guess this one in concord can give to shits

ERICWASAMAZING! He tended to us well, kept it fun although we couldn’t get sat by the grill. I would defiantly ask for him next time. Thanks ERIC!

Make your reservation for 45 min to an hour before you want to eat because that is how long you have to wait after you get there.

I have never reviewed a restaurant, but after what my boyfriend and I endured, I thought I had to. We had a 8:45 reservation and waited 30 minutes. My boyfriend went up to ask what the status was and got the reply«We haven’t gotten to you yet», rudely, might I add. We waited a couple more rounds as people who got there after us were seated before us. Needless to say, we left and ordered pizza. If you’re not going to honor reservations, do not take reservations. When my boyfriend went to mention our reservation, others who had been there way before us mentioned the same thing. It will be difficult for me to be convinced to try to come back here. Horrible front of the restaurant service.

Our lunch went by slow, I think this place depends on which habachi grill cook you get. Ours only did the volcano trick… usually they have do utensil flips and flying food and a river in the rice… It just wasn’t the show we had hoped for our young son. HOWEVERTHEFOOD GETs 5 stars! The food is so good! I would have given them 5 stars but our show wasn’t the usual extravaganza. For the 2 lunches, edamame, drinks and a sushi it was 86 $ FYI I thunk the cost would be justified if we got the awesome show to go with it instead of just watching some guy cook… At the end we didn’t get plastic to go containers that we noticed the other table received which are ideal for keeping the sauce from being absorbed. We were given cardboard ones that soaked up the sauce and are flimsy now because of the sauce… and the sauces were asked to be put in to go containers too… but were not. The other table had their sauces put in cute little plastic sauce cups to go… I think each table needs to be given the same service and the same show.

So this place has mix reviews for me. Let’s just rip the bandaid off and start with the bad parts. So I made a reservation for my anniversary and I had a rude costumer cuss me out because I approached the host about my reservation.(I understand that it has nothing to do with the restaurant but I was not happy that the host said nothing) Then we waited 45 mins after my reservation time. Now to the good stuff! The reason this review has four stars is because of the amazing service and chief we had at the hibachi table. Ben was freaking amazing his personality and cooking skills were phenomenal. I would go back solely for him!!! 10⁄10 stars for Ben !!!

A friend and I went here for lunch and ate in the dining section. We did not get our food cooked in front of us which was not communicated to us until after our waitress brought out our food from the back. Food was decent, just glad that it was during lunch time and lunch prices. It was ehh.

Food was great and so was chef! Waiter not bad either but it took us a total of 3 hrs from start to finish chef did not come to our table for over 1 ½ hr. Glad i was not starving! It’s my bday today! I will make a different restaurant choice next year! Service vs cost not worth it!

3 stars for entertainment, quality service from the staff and atmosphere spotless. My daughter wanted to go because she’s never been. Of course Mom will do anything for her. Reservations are highly recommended because the restaurant did get packed. Food wise? It was Ok. I haven’t eaten here in years. Even then my steak was over cooked the smile on my daughters face was priceless.

Myself and 5 of my co workers went for lunch to celebrate a work anniversary. We made reservation for 12:30 and arrived about 10 minutes early. Probably the only negative thing I can say is about the hostesses, they were stuck up, snarky and rude. When we tried to check in they kept talking amongst themselves for several minutes and then finally one of them looked at me and said«What?». We thought about leaving and just having Lazy Dog but our table came ready quickly so we stayed. After that everything was wonderful! The cook was so fun and funny! The food was really good and really well priced for lunch.

Busy place with a limited Sushi and Sashimi menu but close to my hotel. Sushi is charged by the piece instead of by twos. Fair selection of sake mostly floral and slightly sweet. The chef is Japanese and is very accommodating. This is good for a sushi fix.

We come here every year for my daughter’s birthday… and all the other times with other family. It’s her go-to birthday restaurant. Our waitress for the drinks and meal was a bit slow. We noticed the customers in the next hibachi table get seated after us who got their drinks and have ordered before we did. We were a family of 4. There was another family of 3 that sat next to us who also thought the same. Keep your receipt! Here is why it went down from a 4 star to a 2 star. When we left the restaurant, I signed our check with a gratuity that we felt is deserving. When I received my credit card statement, it was $ 10 more than what I signed. We never give a low % of gratuity so to see this happen was very disappointing. I did call back and spoke to a manager. She was nice and said they will credit the over-charge back into my account. As for the food and cook, we’ve always been satisfied with the quality of our meal and service. The cook is always entertaining.

Great place to come for a special day or if you have kids. Minus one star because my meat was definitely cooked over medium well and all the food besides the lobster and soup were under salted. However I can understand different tastes preferences so not too much of a big deal. Rather have my food under salted than over salted. GETGARLICBUTTERONEVERYTHING. It makes a huge difference. I would say this place is pretty pricey for the quantity of actual meat/seafood you get but they make up for the lack thereof by making it a six course meal. Maybe next time I will try something different that just has more lobster and meat. Our chef was very skillful when it came to the tricks and they refilled drinks and made sure everybody at our table got what they wanted. Try their Exotic Mojito! I loved it and it was not overly sugary or minty, just the perfect balance.

I used to absolutely LOVE this place but now I find their food and service to be below average. My family & I celebrated a birthday this past weekend and there was really nothing that special or great about it. I remember Benihana’s being that«it» place we came to for pretty much every family event and birthday. Now, it is probably the LAST place I think of coming to when there are way better restaurants with better service! Our waitress Amy was okay, but she seemed to forget things that we ordered. We were missing a plate and had to ask her multiple times to bring us a new one. At one point, she brought me a drink that I didn’t even order but tried to convince me that I did. Yeah no, I think not Amy! Benihana’s has pretty much every combination. You can get the land & sea, rocky’s choice, Benihana delight, & a few other’s. Each come with your choices of lobster, chicken, shrimp, steak, yada yada. The ONLY combination they do not have is one for shrimp & scallops. You cannot get scallops as a side so they offer to «substitute». You end up paying over $ 22 for a dish that contains an INCREDIBLY small amount of hibachi shrimp and maybe 4 – 5 scallops. COMPLETE rip off!!! Our chef was pretty cool though but all the tricks in the world couldn’t transform our bland food. There wasn’t enough seasoning on pretty much everything and when you ask your chef to add a little more of this and that they seem to get an attitude. In addition, most of the time it is extremely hard to communicate with your server and chef. Overall, I was left pretty disappointed and HUNGRY after my meal. Their baby blue punch cocktail was probably the highlight of dinner. It’s funny to me how they try to enforce you having to share their bigger blue punch bowl. You know, the gigantic one, in a fish bowl that barely contains any alcohol. Yeah, the same one they charge $ 28 for. If I want to drink that ish solo, I can and freakin will. Benihana’s has made soooo many changes throughout the years, especially to their lunch menu that I doubt I will go back anytime soon.

God I love Benihana. I have no complaints, except some of the customers can be obnoxiously ghetto. Food is constantly good, show is always good, service is fine. Ghetto customers can suck it.

I thought I posted this Saturday evening but I am giving them 3 stars just because the waitress really sucked. I’ve been coming here a lot and can’t complain about the reservations and how quick they are to seat you. But when we sat a napkin of ours was dirty, hella nasty so we asked for another one. The waitress never came back with one until the 3rd time asking. Our wine was suppose to come with some cherries in it she said she would be back with that, we’ll that never happened so we just drank it like it was because we got tired of waiting. Also ordered a Coke the same waitress never brought it at this point we were annoyed. Overall the food is good they definitely use a shit load of butter on their rice and food. Our cook was ok he kept throwing the pepper everywhere lmao it hella hut my plate and another ladies getting pepper everywhere to me it was kinda funny. They also have teriyaki sauce on the side that you can request. I always get the fried rice with filet mignon and lobster it’s always hella good especially with the 2 sauces they provide. Also parking gets super packed so if you have dinner around 6 or later you should park by Krispy kreme.

Although we had a reservation at 3:30pm it was quite busy and we had to wait 30 extra minutes. The wait was worth it because the meal was delicious! Haven’t been to Benihana in awhile and noticed they had a two for $ 55 deal which included rib eye and a choice of shrimp, scallop, or lobster at an extra price per person if you wanted. It also comes with what every meal comes with: Japanese onion soup, salad, hot green tea, and the dipping sauces. By the way the dipping sauces are amazing. Also they ask you if you want regular rice or fried rice. Fried rice for the win! Unfortunately this meal does not come with ice cream, bummer! Overall very delicious and our chef was very entertaining!

They normally entertain you with all the tricks, in addition to cooking great food in front of you. However, today is probably my worst experience at Benihana. With reservation, we waited for a while to get a table, and even longer for our chef to show up after we’ve been seated. It was 1+ he until we got our food…(I would say an average waiting time is 30 – 45 mins) Our chef had great performance, but everything he served was over cooked and dry. Our medium Steak was cooked well done, and the scallops and shrimp were both dry. The other customer at our table also complained about it. The fried rice was also not up to their normal standard… Overall, little disappointed. The ratings below are based on our previous experiences.(These are all lunch prices, which comes with a soup, stir fry vegetables and fried rice) Favorites: Hibachi steak($ 14.25) — my personal favorite beef option out of all 3 Hibachi scallops($ 13.75) — grilled with generous dose of butter Lunch duet($ 15.75) — I normally choose beef julienne and scallops Other orders: Filet Mignon($ 16.50) — maybe not quite worth the price Beef Julienne($ 13.50) — thin sliced teriyaki beef with green onions, strong teriyaki flavor, meat is not as tender Hibachi shrimp($ 12.95) — normally slightly dry Virgin Piña colada($ 5.99)

Ok, let me start by saying this is the worst time I been here in Benihana that I have to pull this in Unilocal. 1 waiting over 30 or more minutes for a table. 2 waiting over 10 minutes for someone to come to service you. 3 order hot tea, services said they are OUT off cups for the tea. She will look for some. After 5 minutes she told us they are out. we have to ask do you have another cup to put the tea. My god big restaurant has no cup that the first. So she bought out glass cups. I never see any restaurant like this before. Maybe just wrong time to come in. Maybe my last time to come in. :(
