Never, ever again! 7:30 p.m. Valentine’s Day 2016. My friend and I walk in the door 7:30 p.m. as I said to be told they were sitting any more tables. By the way the empty tables all over the place. Never, ever again!

I’m very impressed. Tonight was our first time trying this spot. We ordered take out and it was ready very quickly. 15 to 20 minutes. I order beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, kids chicken and Lion king rolls. Also got a Free appetizer for check-in. That’s always nice! The food was very good and generously portioned. We even got soup and salad with takeout. My only complaint was the beef was a little under cooked for our liking. More medium. But overall very good and will be coming back. Oh yea and the kids chicken teriyaki came with tempura. I’ve never seen that. Bonus points

Friendly service. The Godzilla roll and the seaweed salad were delicious. I also loved the green ice cream that they give you with the bill. We came on Sunday evening and it was pretty empty. The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean.

Eh. I’ve never had such pretty good that was so bland. Everything seem fresh, just not particularly tasty. The family was very nice and I’d return just for that.

This is probably going to be my new favorite sushi spot. The salad and miso soup are so good. The sushi is really fresh here and you can tell. I personally liked the lion king and crazy monkey rolls the best. I will definitely be coming back soon.

First time here. Wanted to try a new sushi spot. Coming in, only one couple was there and then once they left it was just me and my boyfriend. Waitress was nice and atmosphere was too, in my opinion. My boyfriend and I ordered edamame and gyoza for starters. The gyoza came first but edamame came after our rolls were given to us. I didn’t mind, I thought she forgot about it at first so I was just hoping she wouldn’t charge me for it but it eventually came lol The rolls we ordered was Love Me, CA crunchy, and avocado roll. I loved the avocado and love me roll. My BF got the ca crunchy and he ate all but one piece. Also, which was nice, we got free soup and salad before our gyoza came(a reason I didn’t mind if she forgot out edamame because it ended up being a shit ton of food) and we also got a small scoop of green tea ice cream when she handed us our check :) I love desserts but often don’t order them because I’m always so full from dinner but I was pleasantly surprised! Minus one star for me because it seemed like a lot of rolls were some sort of CA roll with a different topping on it or something and I’m not a fan of California rolls. No matter how many times I try to enjoy them, I just can’t. I felt like the menu was limited in that sense for me, but I’d definitely return to try other rolls!

Stopped by for lunch and ordered a bento box lunch combo which was good, comes with soup and salad. Facility is small but there was no wait when we showed up. Staff was friendly and very efficient, constantly refilling our tea cups so that was nice. Parking lot is large that is shared with the local Fry’s Electronics. Only problem is that it’s on the backside of the strip mall so it isn’t obvious that it’s there.

Hmmmm rated pretty high so we swung by since we were in the area. Tiny spot, really quiet for a place that seems so popular. Note they seem pretty generous with the tobiko here, in case that interests you. Overall definitely not a 4 star sushi joint, maybe out here in concord they don’t know what fresh fish taste like, or fresh salad for that matter. Only thing passable was their udon. Service was eh, but I know our waitress was new so I won’t hold it against her. Mainly, the food was disappointing. Hwe dup bap(dope? was not dope) — lots of rice, didn’t actually come with a quail egg per the description, salad greens was the same salad greens from the side salad(just lettuce, not field greens or mixed greens) and the lettuce was freezer burned. Fresh was not fresh. Cherry blossom — not fully wrapped(smaller fish portions) and comes topped with tobiko, fish was pretty cold and didn’t taste that fresh, tuna was rather pink looking, and I didn’t need the tobiko on it. Nabeyaki udon — nothing noteworthy pretty standard.

I’ve been here only a few times but I love it. It’s really small but the ambience is so casual and chill. All my waitresses have all been sweet and the service is quick. Tonight our waitress Vitina is so nice and patient, it makes the experience so much better. They also serve some of the best sake!

I read such great reviews about this place, and I had really high hopes. I was slightly disappointed in the selection of rolls at first, almost all of them had imitation crab which isn’t my favorite, then I noticed some additional rolls on this flip book that I didn’t notice until after I ordered since there wasn’t one on my table. I thought service was attentive but I was the only one in there so that’s not saying much to be honest. I ended up getting gyoza, which seemed to be house made but could have used a little more flavor. Then I had the Hwe Do Bop which is Korean style sashimi salad with rice, I thought the fish was decent and there was an acceptable amount of fish, portion size overall was great, but the lettuce wasn’t as crisp and fresh as I’d like, and they didn’t put the wakame(seaweed) salad like it mentioned in the menu. I really do want to come back to try the rolls, and maybe then I’ll update my review if it’s better.

Today I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Philadelphia roll and the baked scallops. They use the good stuff(the best cuts) of salmon even inside the roll. So good! The scallops were the freshest I’ve ever enjoyed! No fishy twang! The server explained that they clean them really well and it really makes a difference in the taste! Love this place!

This was our first visit. We ordered a 49er roll and a Godzilla and a hot summer and a go-go roll. All were delicious. The hot summer was a bit spicy but good. This is a quiet restaurant. Only 4 other people in the resturant at any time. They gave us green tea ice cream when they brought us the check. This will definitely be a place we will return to!

I had a really good experience here from the moment I walked in the door! The waitress was really friendly and attentive and the vibe was all around welcoming. Myself and a friend wanted sushi and I having never been to this spot and wanting to try it was like perfect timing. The menu was like most sushi places in my opinion when it came to offerings. They had almost everything I would expect a sushi restaurant to have. The prices here are pretty good, and the portion size just right, not to much and not too little. And the product was really fresh, you can tell the ingredients wasn’t sitting around too long. My friend had the cherry blossom which was an improvised version because they ran out of ahi tuna, so wet got it with salmon instead, it was still delicious! Being it my first time here I went rookie mode and played it safe with a battered and fried Cali Roll. It wasn’t oily and very good. Next time I plan to go a little more adventurous and raw! At the end of the day, this place is worth the five star review and I can’t wait to visit again soon!

Came here for dinner on a Friday with my bf. Starting with the sushi, we ordered the 49er’s roll, dragon roll, and lion king roll. Sushi was good, though not the greatest. The best out of the 3 was the 49er’s roll. The salmon and California roll were both fresh. The dragon roll is one of my favorite sushi rolls, but the filling in Sushi Raku’s was skimpy compared to other sushi places. Lion king took a while since it’s baked. When it finally came out it was piping hot and a bit overcooked. Clean and well kept interior. Great service. We were seated promptly and served water and hot tea. After we made our order we were served complimentary miso soup and salad. Our server was friendly and cheerful. She came back several times to refill our drinks and to clear our plates and bowls. Complimentary green tea ice cream was a nice treat to end our meal. 3.5 stars for the sushi. Bumped up to 4 stars for good service. I would come back to try other things on their menu.

Living in Concord for years now, I can’t believe I have never dined here. Hidden in plain site on the back of the Park and Shop, this sushi bar looks and tastes like a smaller version of Momoyama, which is a very good thing. I came here with a great friend of mine and we were both very happy with both food and service. The two servers who waited on us were very friendly. They were quick to clear the plates as we finished them and always with a smile. Two small bowls of salad and miso soup were placed in front of us. The soup and salad taste just like they do at Momoyama, and I’m pretty sure even the bowls are exactly the same. Again, not a criticism. Both were delicious as I expected. The soup was warm with great flavor and the salad is just salad until you add that amazing dressing to it. I ordered two rolls: The Schrek roll and the Rainbow roll. The Schrek roll consisted of tuna and yellowtail with avocado on top. The fish was fresh, tasted great and the avocado on top brought great balance. I ordered the Rainbow roll because the picture looked gorgeous and I love the idea of various types of fish on a single roll. Though it didn’t look as pretty as the picture, the roll tasted quite nice. Tuna, Salmon were two of the four types of fish. Both rolls were substantial in size and each piece was the perfect size. Neither too big nor too small. My friend ordered ebi nigiri and the assorted sashimi lunch. The ebi looked good and according to my friend tasted great. The presentation was very clean cut. The assorted sashimi lunch was also beautifully presented. The plate had four types of sashimi and was garnished with rice noodles, pickled ginger and lemon slices. I was able to sample some off of her plate. Every piece was delicious but the one that really stuck with me was the tuna with a very potent garlic sauce. Amazing. They bring you a small scoop of green tie ice cream for dessert. A nice touch and the perfect treat to end the meal. Tasting sweet without being overly sweet. The only problem we had was on of the servers forgot the rice for the sashimi lunch but she quickly apologized and brought it out immediately after realizing. Besides that one small hiccup this place was amazing. It brings great pleasure to know I have an assortment of great local sushi places to choose from. Sushi Raku now making that list.
