The place and the staff is very nice, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1. I purchased a Groupon for the«power hour» body wrap. While the experience was kind of fun, quite simply… It didn’t do anything. They didn’t measure me before or after(which I was a little bummed about), so as far as inches lost, I can only go based on before and after pictures which showed no change. I purchased the wrap to try to look my best for a wedding, but it was honestly a waste. They left a cool towel and a squeezable apple sauce for me afterwards in case my sugar felt too low, which was very sweet. Again, staff was awesome… Just the service was worthless.

I have only been here for spray tanning, so I can’t comment on other services, but my experiences have been great here! The monthly unlimited spray tan package is a fair price and I love the convenient online booking. The best thing is the staff– every girl I’ve encountered has been so welcoming yet low key. They put me at ease and don’t ever pressure me in to purchasing other services or products(unlike another tanning place down the road).

the aesthetician was super nice, but the tighten body wrap did absolutely nothing. total waste of money.

First of all, I’m a bit of a spa rat. At least, I used to be. Allvera is a decent little spot for in-and-out services, but I wouldn’t look to do an entire«spa experience» here. Still, the interiors were nice… a little bit Home Goods-y feeling(not that there’s anything wrong with that, I love Home Goods! But you could tell they didn’t hire a decorator or anything). The staff were super friendly, too. The prices are decent, and I think what you may lose in atmosphere(no locker room, strip mall, etc), you gain in appropriate pricing. So, I had a Groupon for a spray tan. I’ve been spray tanning in booths forever(skin cancer in the fam), but this was my first time with a person air-brushing it on. You know, like they do in Toddlers and Tiaras. I was late to my appointment, which I was really uncomfortable about. I used to work at a salon, and people behaving as though it doesn’t matter to be late to a service, no matter how frivolous the service may be, really bug me. So I was bugging myself. The staff member at the front desk made me feel welcome and I didn’t get scolded for being late– which I deserved. Sometimes I feel guilty using a Groupon. I guess I just know what a pain it must be for them and how they are not making any money at it. I don’t know. I want to go back and try a facial here… maybe it’s Groupon guilt. They use Bioelements products, which I have experience with. From looking at their menu, it really does appear that they are all about customizing services. I’m a little more skeptical about the wraps. I’ve had wraps done other places, and while I think they’re great for a short-term inch reducer, I don’t think they’re really doing much in the long term. I’d consider it before a VERY important event or photoshoot. Now for the tan itself. The experience was pleasant as it could be, I suppose. The room we were in was a little unkempt looking, but what do you expect with bronzer flying around everywhere? I paid $ 10 extra to have the quick-dry formula so I could shower in 4 hours instead of 8 – 10. It definitely felt more sticky than the booth tans I’m used to, but I had fewer runny spots, so I guess that’s the tradeoff. I have very fair skin(hence the spray tanning: even despite the skin cancer thing, I don’t usually tan all that easily). I would have preferred a lighter color on my nordic complexion. It’s not so much that I want to look TAN as I want to look NOTPALE. I feel a little too orange. Even three days later, it’s still rubbing off on my clothes and sheets a little bit. Still, it’s lasting longer than a booth tan. I might try the airbrush tanning again for a special occasion or a trip. I think with a little feedback on it feeling too heavy and dark, Allvera would be more than happy to adjust the formula and/or the application to be a little more subtle.
