I too have had a horrible experience with this business. I have bought and sold several items here. I am a millionaire and I don’t dress up at all, when I shop there I am totally ignored like I am crap, but I still look for bargains so I put up with the Stiffness. I consigned a lot of pieces and read the contract very carefully. I stopped in and seen some of my items on hold in the 1st couple weeks on contract. I waited 2 months and had to ask for payment. By the way, it states in the contract you have to ask for payment or they won’t pay you! So when she wrote the check she said the amount was figured wrong that the furniture sold in the 2nd month, so she lowered the payout. The contract also says that if your furniture goes on hold they will pay you the hold fee. Not only did she not pay me the fee, she penalized me for the furniture selling at a later date. One of the employees that worked there told me she won’t pay, and that she asked her why and the response was«I have bills to pay, if they don’t ask for their money to bad». I too don’t know how she stays in business. She has nice stuff but who would consign when they don’t pay… Not sure what the high and mighty attitude is because this is the personality of WT

I must say I read the negative reviews of this shop with shock I have been a customer on both the buying and selling end of the equation for several years and never have felt less than complete satisfaction from the experience. The items I brought in to sell were in fantastic condition. All but one item sold at the highest available price. Could I have gotten that much out of the furniture selling at a garage sale or trying to sell on my own? I doubt it and I was relieved of the need to deal with advertising and waiting on buyers on my own. The lone piece that took a bit longer to sell was unique and needed the right buyer — which happened at this shop within the timeframe of the consignment contract. The funds were sent to me precisely as laid out by the contract. Not a single complaint from me on any of that. As far as buying, they have been amazing and helpful. They’ve got a list of reputable people you can call to get a delivery if you need it. I am so happy with the pricing, the setup for holding or picking up or having delivered, that I have begun to bring my daughter here to shop for her home as well. She and I stop in regularly and she has found some real treasures at great prices that will last her family for years to come. The store carries great quality furniture and décor items. They are particular about what they sell here and that is a wonderful thing for a secondhand shopper. As far as the comments of rudeness and being«followed» — I am not always the best dressed to go in this shop — it is just a stop by place when we have time — often we are in sweats and just running in quickly. Never felt we were being followed. Never felt we were ignored. I love being able to look around without a care and to ask questions of one of the employees whenever we have the slightest question, whether we are interested in buying or not, they are always happy to talk to us. I notice often they are doing a dusting or setting up as we are wandering through — it’s not an enormous store — so we usually are near one person or another working in there. Certainly not a case of being followed at all. And, no, I do not know any of the employees or the owners of the shop. I am a random shopper just as anyone else would be. Great place. I completely recommend if you are looking for nice furniture or décor at great prices. They have a tag on the item listing the price when the item arrives, the price decreases the longer the item is on the floor — if you are a gambling buyer, you could snag an even bigger deal. Keep your eyes open for those tags!

As 2013 draws to a close, I am still chasing down my payout for a significant % of the huge number of items I consigned. I have experienced a lapse by the staff/owner in communicating, and as the 10÷26÷13 reviewer noted I too feel I’ve gotten lowballed by them on the payout that I’ve received so far. I too understand that in this type of business they assume the responsibility of your consignment, stage it, pay the space rent, etc… However, at the core of a successful local small business is honesty, trust and integrity. One can not expect to be a long-standing business without those qualities — especially in a small town where word travel quickly.

I shop here all the time and have found quality stuff for much less than retail — they are not ‘cheap’ but they do offer a substantial discount off of retail — and they always have unique items. I love this store.

This is a GREAT store with GREAT people working there. We bought an awesome Ethan Allen table and chairs and couldn’t be happier with it. Robin(owner) and Lenore were informative and friendly without being in-your-face about it. They have an awesome selection of really good quality furniture at great prices. I highly recommend this store.
