DONOTGOHERE!!! Seriously. Do not even walk in the door. The shabby front of the store should be warning enough, but I feel the need to share my story with the Unilocal community to hopefully disuade any other unsuspecting customers from accidentally wondering into this horrible establishment. Neil’s Cleaners advertising themselves as wedding dress specialists. I did not personally drop my wedding dress off here(because I would have surely turned and run the other way after speaking to them) because I was on my honeymoon but my inlaws dropped if off for me. At that time the workers/owners at Neil’s assured them that they were wedding dress speacialists and would be able to perfectly take care of cleaning the dress(which cost $ 150). When I returned from my honeymoon I went to pick it up and they couldn’t find my dress. And, they couldn’t find it the next SIX times I showed up at the store. In addition to personally showing up at the store and demanding explainations this were dozens of calls and complaints to the management asking where the dress was — every time a differnet story was offered and every time a different name given for the owner of the business. We were lied to repeatedly. On three separate occasions we called and were assured the owner of the business would be at the store at a specified time only to take off work and drive an hour out there in the middle of the day(because the owner refused to meet us on a weekend) only to arrive and be told the owner was not there. We finally got the dress back and it was not only not cleaned but had be ruined. The fabric had stains all over(stains that would have been easy to remove had the dress been properly cleaned) and numerous pulls to the fabric all over the dress that had not been there when we dropped it off. The fabric was so severely degraded it rendered the dress valuless. But, the real salt in the wound was that they then demanded we pay them the full cleaning price before givin us the dress. The full price for a dress they not only DIDNOTCLEAN but that they RUINED. Unbelievable. This is when the story turns a bit scary and is the real reason I urge you not even to enter Neil’s drycleaners. When I questioned the worker behind the counter as to why I would be forced to pay for a dress they had ruined he got very aggitated and hostile. My husband and I asked him repeatedly to call the owner so we could discuss the situation and he refused. When we said that we refused to pay for the dress he ran to the door and locked us in the store. This is when I became extremely scared. We both asked him repeatedly to call the owner or even call the police and he refused. He then ran at me, pushed me against the wall and tore my wedding dress out of my hands — probably further ruining the dress — and ran to the back of the store. We, of course, called the police once we got out of the store and will be pursing legal action, but I thought it so important to warn other potential clients in the area. BEWARE!
