My wife and I have been driving by this place for almost 20 years. We tried it tonight, I had the prime rib, my wife had the nachos, my niece had a jalapeño burger. The Prime Rib was nearly half fat, and not the good kind of fat you get on a good cut of prime rib that melts in your mouth, but the kind of fat that’s like concrete and has to be spit out into your napkin. The fries were cold, the Nachos were stale, the meat was overcooked and the portion was not very good. The burger was OK. The one lady working behind the bar had no customer service skills and was rude. To top it all off, they had but decent flat screen TV with college football on. One of the other customers asked the waitress to change the channel, not only did she ignore him but she can be heard saying out loud, «Don’t talk to me,» over and over. I love dive bars that have down to earth people working there, but this place is dirty, rude and not good.

We will never return to this restaurant. Not because of the food, which is served in gluttonous quantities to compensate for the overall lack of quality. Not because of the ambience which is dark and dismal and still smells of cigarette smoke even after smoking in restaurants has been illegal for over a decade(I suspect someone was probably smoking in the back office). Certainly not for the service, which was really pretty good(once the bartender recovered from the following). No, we will never return to this pit because we will never do anything that might give a single penny to the horrible person who owns this dive. While we were there, after having a pleasant chat with the bartender and while we were reviewing the menu’s, this completely nasty lady came out from the back and snaps at us, «I’m looking for the bartender». The bartender comes around the corner and visibly cringes when she see’s who’s waiting for her. Rightfully so it turns out, as the following conversation took place(with us, the only customers in the whole place, sitting right there); Owner: What is this door doing open(referring to the kitchen door)! BT: I opened it to get a little heat back there, it’s freezing. Owner: «It has to stay closed, we don’t care about the kitchen, we only care about the dining room! Where’s my daughter?!» Maybe if she cared just a little bit about her employees, there might have been more than a single party of 2 during prime brunch time on a Sunday. This horrible person has no business being in a position of authority over anyone, and her toxic personality has obviously bled throughout the entire place. It might be a halfway decent restaurant if anyone there cared at all, but under that heinous cone running the place there is really no reason for anyone to bother trying(though the bartender was still pretty good).

Went here for the first time last Friday… we had a blast! The décor was a little off-putting at first glance, but the karoake was great and the food was wonderful! Big portions for the price!(I had the eggs benedict with the country potatoes… very yummy!) Our waitresses were very attentive and had great personalities! We were a large group that just showed up without warning and they took it in stride. We will definitely return!

I’ve been taking peeps there for work(clients-social skills/outing type stuff) and we will not be going there again. We’ve been paying customers on a karaōke night regularly for over a month and a half, nearly 2, often arriving early and playing pool, having a snack(overpriced) play video games, etc. Spending money. The last two weeks before now I added a new person to the mix. The first time we collectively spent well over 30 dollars for food, soda and that’s before tips. The last time one person didn’t bring cash so they got water insisting that was fine. The two of us remaining got sodas and split fries which was shared amongst us all. Earlier yesterday I wrote to a group highly recommending this to other persons like myself who have people in that area interested in pool and karaōke. I stated how low key, friendly and all around good they were to us. Last night, I took a different person in, as she wanted to check the place out for the first time. I got there and she asked for water and the next thing you know the bartender is yelling at me about me bringing people in who only get water and that every person in the party must purchase at least one item minimum, regardless of what the others get, and continued to speak to me in a tone as if I had been in there drunk and ready to be thrown out.(I’ve NEVER been in there other than while working with my people, and she knows this) I told her usually we buy much more than soda and food and tried to explain that last week someone forgot their money but she wouldn’t hear it. Instead she waved her arms around telling me over and over again that EVERYONE must purchase something. I asked my person if she wanted a soda and she said ‘who on earth can drink soda this late at night?’ then continued to say ‘let’s go, and no I do not ever want to come here. Even if I’m hungry. They are not nice at all.’ It took a good hour to calm them down down as they were very upset with the way the bartender handled things. Never did she ever pull me aside as she should have last week to tell me the third person needed to buy something. She yelled at me in front of a someone she knew i work with as she knows any time I’m in there I am working.(I work with people who have disabilities). I’ve never heard of anything so completely out of line regarding any bartender as this. So as my my person tonight suggested, they will never get my business again. Added Note: I wonder if they knew I was going to complain? I looked them up on here last night and saw several negative reviews. I was too tired and went to bed. This morning there are other than mine…
