Pinkie is fab… I will be back for the most obvious reasons.

Well, from the signage outside it looked inviting to the eye. But when you walk in ALL eyes on you. Took a few minutes to get a drink, bartender was slow. Karaōke ohh my geez, made my teeth quench… people seemed ok. Alot of bikers which was cool but seemed quite disturbing. I guess that’s their hang out… not a place Id go into again !

I love The Lair! It’s a fun atmosphere, with great food and drinks. The staff and owner are awesome people, and do whatever they can to please their customers. We have held several events here over the years always to great success.

Third time here. Food is always fresh, cooked well and reasonably priced. Service level is good, anyone working here may take your order, bring you drinks and serve food. The cook delivers your food to he table and takes his cooking seriously! I’ve had the following and will be back many times. French Dip sandwich, burger, jumbo wings. Each was well worth the trip snd Monday nights a free fresh cooked slice of scrumptious bacon comes with every drink ordered! They have pool tables, lottery games, TV screens and decent background music. Thanks for being fairly close to my home! Dinner specials nightly and happy hour 4 – 6 daily! Four and a half stars if they had it to give, downside… parking can be tight(like 25 of so) — so do come early and stay late. Update 3÷12÷16: Saturday steak night. Sorry the photo was taken about ¾ the way through dinner but the«grilled outdoors» steak to medium was very good. Guessing this to be a restaurant cut top sirloin, 12 to 14 oz. with baked red potatoes, green beans with onion and bacon, dinner roll and German Chocolate cake for less than you pay for a cheese burger and fries! A pint of Breakside IPA puts this in the classroom alone. Not seen a deal better Than this since the 80’s.

11÷29÷15− Bonnie is long gone, but Liberty, Shelly, and the ladies are all here. The bar has chilled out with a milder crowd. I bring my mama here now.

Moving back to Clackamas has been good, things change and it is good to see«The Lair» has changed, for the better. This is a well established place and sometimes gets overwhelmed. While the staff is awesome, they can only serve one person at a time. One«new» person there, Amanda, is a very hard worker, swear she never slows down, hardly ever stops. Last night I asked her for a beer and she told me she was doing«Back Bar» duty only but she would tell the bartender close by for my request. That was nice, but it didn’t get me a beer faster than if Amanda could have just gotten it. She is of age to serve so not sure why she couldn’t, didn’t seem«fair» that she couldn’t help out and I surely would have tipped her. Not sure if the whole staff shares tips, either way, would have been nice to just deal with Amanda, as she is very personable and again, a very diligent worker. Otherwise, love the place, almost a regular. Best regards, Tony

When I was growing up in the area during the 70’s and 80’s this was the place your mother told you to never go. I of course went just as soon as I could, in the late 80’s, and it was one of the first moments I had of thinking my mother might be right about something. When I was invited to a party there a couple of years ago my eyebrows shot up and I had to inquire if it was safe. My friends assured me it had a different owner and I would in fact live to see another day. They were right. I have been back several times since then and I always have a really good time. The staff is friendly, the cocktails are good and underpriced, the food is better than most bar food, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and each time I have been there the customers seem to be having a pretty good time. I have even had the chance to meet the owner and he is a really nice guy that goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy and taken care of. So, it you are looking for a place that isn’t pretentious, where you can relax and just have fun I highly recommend it.

Hopefully this will post… sprint sucks sometimes… went to Pete’s last night and was greeted by a gorgeous bartender… she told me of the ongoing specials they have during the week… like Taco Thursday of which the bartender prepares herself! I have heard a lot about how good the food is so I look forward to it… I love this place and will be hanging out here at this bar a lot especially this summer and I live right down the street. the drinks are cheap and stiff as F

The reviews for this place, Pete’s Lair, technically in Milwaukie, OR, are all over the place because this is an «all over the place» kind of place. Pete’s Lair is right across the street from the remodeled East Side Athletic Club, of which the more renowned location is across from Clackamas Town Center on Sunnyside Road. When you see a sign on their roof for Taco Thursdays and an «el cheapo» Sunday a.m. breakfast, clogging the arteries supersedes getting sloshed. Other patrons can subsidize the latter! This place makes for a truly unique experience. It is unfiltered and informal, so that’s good. It can be «over the top» unfiltered and there is possibly some deference to those regularly warming their bar stools, so that’s not as good. Regardless, the chicks who tend the bar are always cool. A 4 star visit looks like this: getting the shells for 3 tacos(for $ 2) and decking them out the way you want. A 2 star visit looks like this: someone asks you to watch something for them while they go out to have a smoke and then they never come back because they were enticed by the pool table, possibly as a result of diminished faculties … if you know what I mean … and the colorful language(which I’m perfectly capable of) gets to «them there figthin’ words» level in the pub. So I’m giving it a 3 to average that out. This place is very 97267. The crowd is very local and I suspect someone from L.A.‘s San Fernando Valley, SF’s East Bay, or even Bellevue WA would NOT feel at home here. There are some blue collar folks, bikers, seniors, neighborhood people, and even wholesome looking suburbanites for whom that bargain breakfast($ 3) looks like it might precede going to church. But who cares? Indulging in the self serve taco bar and partaking in a filling breakfast at an «is that a mistake?» price … every now and then … is doable.

If you want to go to a nice chill bar this is the place. They have two diamond pool tables with quality ques. There is a ton of seating around the bar and several booths. I have been here about 4 or 5 times. I have never had a bad experience. I would recommend this place to any pool players and anyone that wants to have a nice chill night’

Great local bar that turns into your living room with a few new friends. The staff put up with just, enough while still serving the masses. A real plus if you ride a bike, all are welcome.

It’s not okay that the staff did not call 911 after my friend, Mary who is deaf, was punched in the face by a bullying guy at this tavern. She did not do anything wrong. Shame on the staff or manager for not helping her or reported this to the police!

What an awesome bar & karaōke on a Friday night! Great service, easy on the pockets, not hard to find, & plenty of parking for the crowd! Jess & Tonya were behind the bar serving up fun & smiles. Overall good time every time I’ve been. Food specials too! I’ll be back!

If it was not next door to my gym I would never have given it a second chance. Both times I’ve been here it was difficult to get served because the waitress is busy gabbing with the regulars. Food is standard bar fare, drinks are reasonable. Don’t think I will be back, there are too many other businesses that WANT new customers.

When I got their is was mostly quiet, and mostly left alone besides a few older lonely patrons who wanted to come up and join the conversation. I don’t drink beer, but they had inexpensive and very tasty speciality diet soda. Darts and a pool table. Crowd mostly was not interested in playing either so I had a full range. I didn’t eat, but the food seemed more on the expensive side. The only staff I had was the bar tender, and she was nice. I think to some degree the usuals are what really chase people out, and it has nothing to do with the bar itself. Sometimes I really not in the mood for bored drunks to come up and bother me, and if I was with girls I could tell they were ready to be down right obnoxious and harassing.

The staff is rude, the karaōke KJ is nasty, the bar is dirty and there is NO ambiance. I’d be terrified to drink from a glass there or worse eat the food! F-Bombs left and right and that’s not just from the customers, I heard it mostly from the KJ and wait staff! We planned on staying and spending lots of cash but we were run out by bar fights and«harsh» individuals. I wonder if the owner knows they are losing money left and right? BTW its a «cash only» bar but I’d be afraid to carry cash on me in this bar! Go somewhere else!!!
