Good selection of beer on tap as well as a variety of bar foods to choose from. At times a little cramped and the last couple times fights have broken out, but the staff takes care of the situations quickly and safely. The bartenders are also very attentive.

Yes it’s small, yes it’s crowded. No it’s not fancy and yes the other customers can look a bit intimidating at times ;) But it’s chill and the food and drinks are well priced. The food is very good; I’ve tried the hot wings, fries, potato skins, tacos on Taco Tuesday, tater tots, bacon cheese tots and my personal favorite; the grilled cheese! As for cocktails, my go-to is the TJ Sunrise.

Cajun Garlic Wings are to die for! I learned to wash down good wings with beer in this place!

Best micheladas! Cool spot to just go chill and enjoy a few beers with friends. Laid back and they have decent prices.

Great bar, been coming here for a while I now live in North park but whenever I make it to Chula Vista I make a pit stop at the Canyon for the Wings and the coldest beer in the South Bay

Terrible service. I’m sitting in the bar as I wrote this because the waiters/waitress haven’t made the slightest effort to do their job. Been here for 30 mins so far and only talked to once(which was when we first walked in). The waiter had a rude vibe and seemed like he didn’t give a shit. He stood outside for at least 15 mins smoking and talking. The other bartenders have been leaning and bullshitting with each other rather than giving good service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Worst bar I’ve ever been too. Also, why is security doing a waitress job cleaning tables?

My friend and I were looking for a place to hang out and have a couple of beers and I’m glad we found this place. It’s small and the area around the bathroom is uncomfortable since there’s tables right outside but besides that, the bartender was awesome. We ordered wings and loaded tots and it was on point. I look forward to coming here again!

Seriously someone needs to call the fire Marshall this place is way to small for the amount of people it lets in. And the rest room is just inconvenient I heard good things about this bar but once you step in it feels like trouble is waiting. Maybe it’s a better place at 11am vs at night. They really need to expand they have one pool table but you can’t play comfortably, the Archway is right u the street with like 5 times the space and 3 pool tables with plenty of room to work with without having to worry about bumping someone with a pool stick. Try crowd control for reals like 20 people maximum occupancy. I really wanted to try the wings… Maybe in the morning sometime.

I can’t speak for the food, but as far as the service on the phone goes, I’m unimpressed and let down. I called in a take out order just now, 4 appetizers and two sandwiches and when I’m on my last item, I’m told the order is too large and I would have to come in and pay for it first, before they would place it. I understand there are jerks that will stiff a restaurant, order food and not come get it. Give me another option, instead of basically refusing my patronage. Offer to take my card number over the phone, which can be done virtually everywhere these days. Maybe I’ll try again when I have the time to sit around and wait(in a crowded bar where the parking is extremely limited and tight) to place an order, but it’s not likely.

I’ve tried to give this place multiple opportunities to bring me back in a positive light and thus far has failed. If you’re looking for a ghetto bar where they’re either understaffed or have horrible customer service due to the bartenders ignoring you in favor of the regulars — this is the place to be. The location is small by the 805 freeway and offers a jukebox, pool table, and awkward men’s and women’s bathroom where you bump into people’s tables upon exiting the loo. Although they have an impressive craft beer selection(the one star contribution) and multiple TV’s to watch sports, the service and patrons alike are uncomfortable to be around. The customer service has never been good, but tonight took the cake. In the past, bartenders would be «somewhat» attentive but tonight this one was clueless. After repeating my order for a flight of beers for which they had a special beer on tap specifically for tonight, the bartender had no idea what I was talking about. 5 drink orders and repeating myself three times later(mind you that no one else placed an order after me, he was attending to regulars), he questioned whether the beers I asked for were available. I told him I could see the taps behind them and still questioned me, and gave me a sheet but no beer list to fill in my flight order. After receiving my flight, I asked which beers were which, which he replied with, «that’s why I gave you a flight sheet». I had no beer list, only brewery to choose from, then he slammed the beer list in front of me and my tab shortly after. The food isn’t good either, ordered garlic boneless wings that were«overcooked»(over microwaved) and had almost a clove’s worth of minced garlic all over it. It tasted like biting into a garlic that had SOME chicken in it. The craft beer and convenience of the freeway brought me here. But now there are better options like Third Avenue Alehouse in downtown Chula Vista and Machete Beer House in Southern National City that are well worth the trip to avoid this establishment. I love small dive and sports bars, their intimate and the comradery of other patrons is welcomed all the time. But this place is straight up ghetto and rude.

If you haven’t been here before you’ll stick out like a sore thumb. It seems like a lot of regulars go here. They have a good selection of drinks. The whole place itself isn’t very big. If there’s someone you run into there you’ll be able to see them from anywhere inside the rest of the night. I myself only have been a handful of times. One of the pros is its right next door to the famous Mexican food place called«Lolitas».

Although they have the very best Cajun garlic wings in the entire world, service could be nicer. 7 ladies, all super cute by the way, waiting over 45 minutes just to place an order for food and drinks was a bit long. They are super busy, they should definitely have more workers. Friendly atmosphere, just hella slow and zero ac. Sooooo hooooooootttttttt

I used to come in for lunch a lot, and prefer this place in daytime, ‘cuz it’s not as crowded and loud. I went last night with a group of friends, and checked the beer list online a couple of hours before we met up. I walked in and ordered a beer that was on the list, and they said they were out. I ordered my 2nd choice — they were out of that, too. Then, my friend ordered a boring Shocktop, and they brought her — by mistake — my 1st choice beer! So, I asked them to bring ME one, and was told, again, that they were out of it. I told the server that waitresses should know what’s goin’ on with the taps, and she got offended and said she was the bartender! Even worse, no?

Sweet bar. Went for some MNF and it was pretty packed. Even tho it was packed the bartender was able to acknowledge me and hook it up with service. Definitely will be going back. Nice little pool table too.

Here’s the deal, I asked my friends to meet here before the Oddball Comedy festival and what a disappointment. The first bartender, a girl, was whatever, but the second guy was really really nice and came to our table to make sure we were okay with food and drinks. My disappointment is what kind of an owner wouldn’t fix the A/C before a heat wave weekend when the ceiling fans only go super slow. This is ridiculous especially for the positive reviews. Youre making a lot of money to put your customers through this.

Unilocal came through with helping me find a Golden Tee golf game during a San Diego excursion. The menu looked great during our mid-afternoon visit, but we just wanted a couple of beers and video game fun. The bar service was perfect and I can’t wait to try the food in the future!

Very crowded when we came in but we found a table right away. Didnt expect much since we came from the All Star Sports Bar with mediocre service despite only a few customers. But surprisingly excellent service from the bartender who was taking care of all the people in the room(I think there was a waitress there too). Fun dive-y bar… not a place I usually hang out at but a good man-cave kinda bar that my boyfriend and his friends can hang out at

This is my favorite dive bar in Chula Vista! The crowd are pretty chill and friendly. The bartenders are cool too! Their Micheladas are huge and spicy! It’s a Chargers bar so I definitely feel at home. We used to come here and drink after work. Reminds me on how Grey’s Anatomy would hang out a bar and be stressed out. I like the music they play and I definitely like this place better than Archway.

So ghetto and so trashy. And they charge you for doubles when you order a regular drink. Then refuse to fix the charge. Don’t go here unless you’re trying to get overcharged, in a fight, or hit on by creepy cholos. The bartender with the spiky hair and shirts with the lame sayings on it is the worst. So rude.

Came here yesterday for the first time with some friends for some early afternoon libations. lol! I walked in to see my friend drinking the biggest michelada I’ve ever seen in my life! She raved about it so I had to try one too. Everyone is right ~ the best anywhere! We ordered food and were not disappointed! Cajun garlic wings ~ best bar wings, tons of garlic so make sure you have gum or a mint on hand. Frickles ~ fired pickle spears. OMG! Bacon & cheese tots ~ I wanted them with nacho cheese, but the were out :(We settled for melted cheddar cheese and it was probably for the best. The order was HUGE! The nacho cheese would have made them soggy. They doctor up the pickle juice for the Jameson pickle back ~ I wanna know how so I can do it at home. The ghetto aid was goooodd!!! The service was excellent, plenty of staff to make sure we had whatever we needed. The crowd was very diverse & pretty chill. I’d definitely come here more often if I lived in the area.

Poor customer service. Disgusting food. Very limited beer selection. Noisy and obnoxious patrons. Dirty bathrooms. Ghetto neighborhood. I went here(willingly, because I didn’t know what it was) with a friend to meet up with some of her friends, and just by the 20 – 30 minutes I spent at this establishment I can tell that this place is where cheap old ghetto people go to hang out and maybe contract STDs. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Chill bar. Best michelada ever. Good beer. Good prices. Bacon cheese tater tots FTW. Bartender is nice, cute, and a little forgetful. Pool. Jukebox. Hockey baseball ufc anything sports really. Good atmosphere. Got a lil weary of the 5th Woodstock jimi hendrix song in a row, but it’s all good. I’d come back, and bring a friend.

Beer, bar food and TV’s yup it’s got them but for real for real… you gotta try their Cajun garlic wings! Eat them at the bar or at home you’ve got to give them a chance. The amount of garlic Canyon Sports Pub and Grill gives you with these wings makes you question if there is going to be a shortage of the stinking rose, but until then they hook you up with a heaping pile of garlic enough for every single bite of chicken. But be careful, because you will reek of garlic for days so pack on the perfume and cologne.

Sculpin on tap? Check. Great burgers & wings? Check. Hotty boom body bartenders? Check. Close to home? Depends on where you live. I like this place. Get the canyon burger & cajun garlic wings. Don’t get it to go. Don’t go during peak hours. You won’t be disappointed.

I like my dive bars and my brother and I stopped in out of curiosity. It was Sunday and they have patty melt special for $ 6 and we gave it a shot. This place in a strip mall with some parking and has all the dive bar features. OMG. This was the best patty melt that I’ve ever had. The patty was a good half pounder with caramelized onions and awesome sourdough toast all fried to perfection. I got the tots instead of the fries and there was enough tots of feed a small family. They have a good beer selection and tap casks on a regular basis. The drinks are cheap and the food is great. As for atmosphere are some hot college girls dancing with each other and having some good girlish fun so enough said! I’ll be hitting this place again. Stay sexy fellow Unilocalers!
