Very good lobster bisque and as previously mentioned, the bacon bloody mary was yum. The only downside was that dinner menu was not available until 5pm and we are early bird diners. Update: Decided to wait the hour for dinner. Glad we did. I had the daily pasta dish which was scallops, shrimp, olives and artichoke hearts over al dente fettuccini and a tasty sauce topped with goats cheese. Wonderful! DW had the ravioli special which was scampi with lobster. She enjoyed it very much. Bottom line; Come early, stay late. Another star was easily earned with the quality of our meal and the great service by «Cort».

The wife and I stopped in really not expecting much as the place we wanted was closed. To our surprise it ended up being one of those experiences we wanted to tell our fellow Unilocalers about. The lobster cocktail actually was the best lobster we had eaten on this trip. The lobster bisque was fantastic and the fish and chips was yummy and plentiful.

We arrived at 11:15 on Sunday and attempted to order lunch(menu said breakfast ends at 11). We were told that since everyone else was still ordering breakfast/brunch, the kitchen could not handle a lunch order. OK. We looked at the Sunday brunch menu and tried to order, but were told that half the brunch menu was not available until lunchtime(menu was a list with no marked distinction). Waitress did not appear apologetic, take ownership of the issue, or attempt to negotiate an exception with the kitchen.

Great spot for breakfast. Prompt service and excellent food. We both had eggs, and the home fries and toast were delicious.

Decent food with not so decent service. Seating outside in the summertime makes the experience better though. My husband and I ordered the smoked salmon with capers and omelets-food did not let us down! Bloody Mary’s also won’t disappoint.

The shrimp taco was delicious. The place is quaint and clean. Seating outside is a plus. Definitely kid & stroller friendly unlike some other places on Main St.

Excellent breakfast location. The omelettes served with caramelized onions are the best i have had. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this area.

Let me start by saying we loved the food. I got a lobster omelette with Swiss and avocado(asked for no asparagus add side avocado). Delicious! Husband had pulled pork breakfast tacos. Really good. Service was terrible though. It took someone 15 minutes to get our drink order and we sat at the end of breakfast for around 15 minutes with dirty plates waiting for the bill.

My friends and I were going to eat at another place called the lazy lobster but it was busy so we came here. I ordered a burger and all of my friends ordered off the brunch menu. I tried their cranberry pancakes. They were so delicious. The pancakes are so fluffy and the maple syrup is delicious. I thought these pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. The burger was really good. The caramelized onions were absolutely delicious. The only problem I had with this place was that they were not very accommodating. For example, my friend asked for pancakes without cranberries and they refused to make any modification at all. Overall the food that we tried was very good. It was a little expensive but that’s how all food in Cape Cod is. I would definitely come back here just to eat the pancakes because they were that good. Please try them :)

Hate to break it to you but this is a tourist trap. The other breakfast places were closed(it was Tuesday morning?) so we really had no choice but to go here. We were seated immediately, the server was nice enough, but everything else was not great. It took a really long time to get the coffee and water, so we ordered our meals when she brought everything out. The coffee came in teeny tiny cups and I finished mine in about 5 min and it took me about 10 – 15 before she came back so I could ask for more. Keep in mind we still don’t have food. I am going to guess-timate and say it took a good half hour to get our food. When we finally got our food I was even more disappointed. My boyfriends mom and sister both ordered Eggs Benedict and the egg was cooked all the way through, no joke, it was basically a hard boiled egg! My breakfast burrito was more of a «wrap» than a «burrito» and I’m still not sure why there were sausage links inside of it? I mean. it said it came with eggs, sausage, bacon, caramelized onions(there were none), and cheese. So in my head I’m thinking everything is going to be cut up and scrambled in with the eggs. It was an interesting game of «take a bite without pulling everything out of the wrap». It tasted ok, but it wasn’t anything special. The hash was really dry, but it had a lot of onions and I love onions so there’s that? We got our check pretty quickly but I could over hear the table next to us who had been waiting for about 10 – 15 minutes for their checks. They were not happy. There were a lot of them and I think they were all doing separate checks, so yea that’s going to take longer than 1 check but still it seemed like an outrageously long time to wait for a check. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are staying in Chatham, there are plenty of other great breakfast places to go to as long as it’s not Tuesday Morning :)

Don’t bother. Food is mediocre at best and service is unfriendly and not professional. Very very disappointing. It’s a «bad clam!»

Sorry wanted to give a higher rating but… Arrived at 11:15 and was told breakfast was no longer being served and they were serving lunch now. Okay, no problem, after our drinks were served we were informed she couldn’t put are lunch order in til 11:30. Okay, again no problem. The problem was the food! Grilled ham and cheese was cold slimy ham. couldn’t eat any if it. Should have complained but didn’t! Waitress was good, unfortunately food was not.

I enjoyed how relax and quiet the place is. Nothing rowdy about this place. If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a relax environment then this is the place to eat in Cape Cod. Well deserve over five stars

SUCH tasty food. Such reasonable prices. Such a pleasant, real, down-to-earth server. Brimming with happy customers. It was exactly the kind of meal one hopes for on a precious vacation day on the Cape.

Small quaint place for lunch during a day of shopping in the rain. Delicious chowder, lobster bisque and crab cakes. The crab cakes could use a little more crab and the lobster bisque could use a little more lobster. Very friendly staff.

Came by for Sunday brunch. Cod wrap at an outside table… all around great meal Staff was very friendly. Asked for recommendation on entrée and it delivered. My girlfriend was very happy with her veggie burger selection as well. Reasonably priced no complaints.

My daughter and I stopped by yesterday for a late lunch mid-afternoon, and we waited 25 minutes for our table. The restaurant is small and very loud. We ate outside, and it was okay. My two-star rating is based as follows: — dirty cutlery — warm chowder — $ 18 sandwich that was void of lobster and was lackluster at best — which we were told was their specialty — lunch total with tip was $ 60(pop, chowder, sandwich x two) — waiting for the ladies’ room in the general eating area uncomfortable The wait staff was fine, but the above items need attention in my book. Very disappointed.

We were trying to find a place to eat for dinner without hitting the bank. The seafood place across the street was on the high end and waiting time was 45 minutes. This place had a decent menu prices and immediate seating. I got the grilled shrimp and scallops with steak. My dad got the fisherman’s fried seafood platter. My mom got the salmon salad. My girlfriend got the salmon curry with spinach salad. Service was fast and price was very reasonable. My mom got the bill and was surprised at what good value and good food. Being on main street, this was a good choice to also see other things happening in Chatham.

I’ve never eaten here but while strolling by on a Sunday afternoon we stopped in and sat outside in the sun. Cute little place. Had a drink and ordered some fish tacos. They were OK, fried white fish, tangy sauce and good amounts of slaw, chopped tomato and avocado. Not high brow fine dining but not a bad spot either.

On a busy summer Thursday morning in Chatham, lunch was imperative for our party of 8…4 kids, 4 parents, and a grandma. After stopping at a nearby bistro, well reviewed on Unilocal,we found that the word bistro is code for«expensive», and there was no kids menu(hint, hint)…so off we went, leaving that one for the yentas of the world. We hit the Captains Table next, and weremgiven a table, within ten minutes. Not bad. Inside, the décor is fine… I disagree with a previous Unilocaler, who called it tired or some other rubbish. It was fine. Service was also perfectly adequate… unlike previous reports. My crab melt sandwich was good, with good portions of crabmeat. No one complained, no one went away hungry, no one chummed. Price was a bit high, but still quite reasonable for downtown Chatham. I’d venture that his is the place for normal people. Square meal, no pretense. Thanks.
