They don’t serve the food at the same time! The food is not tasty. I don’t know why, but ever since they moved this place next to seafood city, hindi na sya masarap! I don’t enjoy it anymore!

Don’t order the Binagoongan. The porks are cut the size of a pea. If you just want to eat mango and eggplant, then this dish is for you.

My friend brought a braso de marcedez cake in this Goldilocks store for to go but when we open and eat it taste old like expired and when we try to call the store directly to complain about it they keep putting us on hold and no one want to gave their name so that we know exactly who answering the phone because we want to bring back the cake so they can see and taste their own cake. From now on we will not anymore patronize their product and will not recommend to anyone.

The only reason I gave two stars is because the food was delicious. But, this review is mainly based on the service of the restaurant. On a night where only two tables were being served, the service should have been better than what it was. Here are some tips… Don’t start setting the table when you just finished wiping it down with a rag, and the table is still visibly coated with water streaks. In a Filipino restaurant, rice is supposed to be the first dish to come first. Not last. When you make a drink wrong, make it right. I.e. If someone asked for easy ice, don’t just scoop out the ice and hand back the drink. We’re not dumb, and it’s so obvious. A server is supposed to talk more to their customers, rather than each other. The three male servers should carry themselves in a more professional manner. Half the time they were laughing and goofing off like high schoolers.

I was excited to see Goldilocks open next to seafood city — so I went in excited to get some Polvoron. It was a waste of $ 5. The polvoron tasted like uncooked flour. How is it that Goldilocks can get it right in the Philippines and produces something so bad here in LA?

I have been coming to Goldilocks since forever, from North Hollywood to cerritos — I love the food. I love the people. I think it gets even better when I ‘Speak’ Tagalog. Guess Most Blacks don’t speak it if they aren’t Filipina lol and yes most are not use to it. I have ALWAYS loved the food and the people. It’s what I grew up with as a kid in L. A so for me and my kids the food is normal to us… I love this place. Only problem I had was .When I wanted to Pay the bill The Guy was M.I.A –Took for ever to find him and he never came back…

I finally checked out this restaurant which was not impressive. The plates are overpriced for such small serving. I came here with my cousin and thought how ridiculous that an establishment had so many workers that day standing around and talking to each other while there were very few customers. The ratio made no sense. Either they’re getting underpaid or the business is losing money hiring too many non-cooks and wanna-be hosts or bus-boys/girls. Food was mediocre and they were out of pansit palabok! And kare-kare! Really?! Or someone just didn’t want to cook it and they just wanted to serve pre-heated food because that’s what it tasted like. How embarrassing. Sorry, not so sorry.

I’m SO divided about my most recent experience here because I want to love it, I REALLY do. I love Filipino food and want to support my people, but. well, can’t win on pinay/pinoy power alone. They seem to have an issue with consistency. My last issue was with the service. This time it’s with one dish and ¼ service. The server started off exceptionally. Granted there were only 2 tables occupied, including mine, but I did receive a menu right away, drinks were refilled, and he was VERY polite. Motherland style politeness! Yet it went south(again) when it was time to pay the bill. I received my to-go containers and immediately set my card out. I wrapped everything, cleaned my little area up, checked phone. no one came back to get my bill. The server was facing me, but seated chatting with another employee working. After getting tired of waiting, again only 2 tables occupied, I walked it directly over to to the register like I had to do last time. Only then did he bounce up to grab my bill and ring me up. But I was already at the register. Ya, thanks. Next, I LOVE their pancit palabok. Smaller portions were served this time, still masarap(delicous in Tagalog). The diniguan tasted lovely again… but there was one thing that grossed me out. I discovered HAIR off the skin of 2 pieces! It seemed to be pig stubble from the skin. Nasty. They should properly clean the skin if they’re going to serve it! That includes shaving it if you have to, jeemeny crickets! I don’t want to eat anything with hair on it, human or otherwise. Let’s just say that now, I’m inspired to try other Filipino restaurants in the area because I’m crossing Goldilocks off my list.

What does Goldilocks have that makes me come back here? THEIRHALOHALO! It is out of this world, perfectly made halo halo. Goldilocks makes the BEST halo halo and I do believe it is the best I’ve ever had and believe me, I’ve had my share of halo halos. It costs around $ 7 but it is worth it! They add sweet beans, coconut jellies, some tapioca type balls, condensed milk, and on top of all that sugary goodness, ube ice cream! It is the absolute best combination dessert ever and just writing all of this makes me want to go get it, which I do believe I will. I also tried their shaipao(I probably butchered the name). It costs around $ 3. I got the chicken one and it was okay, not the best. Too much dough, not enough meat. I don’t think I’ll try that again but their halo halo is the best and this review is 100% for the halo halo. GOTRYIT!!!

Bought spoiled Ube Petite. Called and said they will replace it. Went back and they are looking for receipt Even I told them I don’t have it anymore. I can’t give name of the lady I spoke to and they didn’t replace it. The manager was hiding yet lurking while crew was talking to me.

Much smaller than the old place. But it’s clean. Server we had was sweet and very courteous. We didn’t have wait much for our food to arrive. And when it did. Much surprised because the portions are good. Price is reasonable.

I think everyone is hoping that the Goldilocks we’ve known to love is the same as the Goldilocks before… but for now, they’re not. I’ve eaten here 3 times, and each time seem to get worse. I know, I know, why keep coming back? Well the first time I tried their crispy binagoongan with eggplant, I really loved it. Gave that dish a 5 star review, and even told friends about it. Then the second time, it was just okay, but the third time it wasn’t as great as the first. Their sisig was the worst sisig I’ve ever had. The spaghetti was weird. I really want to like the new Goldilocks, but the service was just not great. The servers were not attentive. We even had to get up and get our own drinking cups. They really need to hire experienced servers. On another note, their cake is still great…

Started early this morning with a Filipino breakfast, tocilog(sweet pork) longsilog(pan fried filipino sausage links) and the beef plate(forget the name) all served with garlic rice and eggs and a garlicky ginger vinegar sauce. Everything tastes fine, tocino and longanicilog was nice and sweet, not too fatty which isn’t my tastes. The sausage didn’t have those«funny bits» that I sometimes find in longanisa which makes me wonder what I’m eating. Beef plate was nothing special. Loved the garlic rice, it had good flavor but not too overwhelming and the dipping sauce was great! We took a pork siobao(Filipino version of a steamed pork bun) to go and thought it was huge! It was tasty and the dough was light and fluffy, they were freshly steamed and the filling was good, not quite like a chinese bbq bun, but similar. Not sure why the low ratings, the place is clean, the service was good and the girls behind the registers were friendly enough. I can imagine it may be the prices, for locals you can probably find the same food in the plaza they’re located in and for a cheaper price. But I think it’s worth trying, tasty, simple, and satisfying! I will not be eating lunch today.

Pluses: We went here today for dinner and got our Filipino cravings satisfied. We ordered the Sotanghon and thankfully there’s an option to omit pork.(I don’t eat pork due to personal health reasons). It was very flavorful that the sauteed chicken and other ingredients blended well. We added Kalderetang Kambing to our order and I was very impressed! I really liked the balance of sweetness on the kaldereta sauce and the kambing was soft and tender. I’m glad it’s not salty compared to other Filipino restaurants in the area. Overall I was delighted by the presentation and taste of the food we ordered. Deltas: –There’s a lack of chicken and seafood dishes on the menu. –Most menu items are overpriced. –There are more portions on the pancit than the kaldereta.

Been wanting to eat here, so we finally did as my friends from out of town wanted to try it too. The place is by a strip mall close to the freeway. Very easy to find. Parking is not an issue when we went maybe because it’s a weekday. The staff was very nice, they smile and you will feel very welcomed. We bought baked goods such as polvoron and siopao. We also had lunch. Our waitress was Arci, young and energetic girl. She’s very nice and attentive to our needs. We ordered the binagoong rice medley(an A+), lumpiang sariwa, dinuguan, lechong kawali and sago gulaman. Everything was so good! They maintain their standards of what I remember years back. The place is new so it’s clean, very well lighted and the restrooms are clean! We will come back again

Located just off the 91 freeway and Norwalk Blvd, opposite side of the parking lot from Polly’s Pie is this«revival» of Goldilocks. From what Rodney S posted, the Goldilock’s near the Cerritos Mall changed to Leelin due to a family squabble, and this new Goldilocks opened up just a few miles away. The menu was almost the same as before, but they took away some items. I am not sure if the prices changed, but I would not be surprised if they went up. I came here with 3 of my friends, and we shared family style: — Lumpiang Shanghai(Filipino eggrolls) — Bulalo beef soup — Bihon Guisado(glass noodles) — Chicken adobo(they no longer serve pork) — Golden fried chicken and steamed rice I thought the soup would come first, but it came second, as did all the food at the same time, minus the fried chicken. –The lumpia came out piping hot, right out of the fryer. –The soup was tasty, and had big chunks of beef, and easily served 4 people. Not sure if its worth 11.50. –The pancit bihon was excellent! Plenty of noodles for the 4 of us, and had leftovers. –We asked for extra gravy on the adobo, and I don’t think our request was heard. Chicken was still on the bone but was also very anemic, so I struggled eating around the bone. Wished it was boneless. — Fried chicken came much later, fresh from the fryer, uncut. Wasn’t bad for $ 8.50 We ordered 2 servings of rice, and it easily served 4 of us, with leftovers. Total for 4 people came to $ 60 before tip and we went home with some leftovers. Overall a good experience, but we had to ask for drink refills twice. Service was friendly but not the best. We arrived at 6:15 and did not leave until 8:30, which meant we also closed the place. I’m not sure if it took 2 hours because we took our time, or if the service was that slow.

This Goldilocks location has not been open very long. You can find them in the same plaza as Seafood City on Norwalk Blvd. There is a restaurant and a little section for selling baked goods. The establishment appears very clean. This review is only for what I tried from their bakery section. I had a Mango Cheesecake slice for $ 3.99 and a 6pk of the Yellow Bean Hopia for $ 2.89 There was a time when I thought that Goldilocks branches made the best hopia. That is no longer the case. The hopia I had here tasted ordinary. I much prefer those made at Luisa & Son. So, 3 stars for the hopia. The Mango Cheesecake was a better choice for me. Looked and tasted quite good. I would buy it again. 3.5 stars I may return here to try their sit-down restaurant. As for the bakery, I would not go out of my way to get here(only if I“m in the neighborhood).

Sister Bear & Brother Bear had a disagreement Brother Bear decided to rebrand existing Goldilocks restaurants as Leelin Bakery & Cafes. Sister Bear later branched out & opened up new Goldilocks restaurants in Cerritos, West Covina & National City. Rodney Bear is happy to have Goldilocks back & still in my hood! Goldilocks is like the Filipino Porto’s. Various baked goods are available for purchase. Hopia Siopao(warm & refrigerated) Ensaymada Cakes My favorite, bread! On a cold Saturday, we were famished & needed a hot meal. A sign said«Wait to be seated», but I spied many open tables to eat, so after waiting for a minute or two, I decided we should seat ourselves. A quick glance at the menu led to our lunch choices– Mami siomai Hot soup with egg noodles, celery, green onions, carrots, hardboiled egg &3 pork siomai. Soup for the soul. I was a little disappointed that only 3 siomai were in the soup, but they were delicious. The egg noodles were long & chewy, the broth soothing & comforting. An OK dish Lechon kawali Crispy pork goodness! I enjoyed how there weren’t too many hard bits of fatty pork, like most turo turo restaurants have. The meat was tender & the fat sweet, Dipped in lechon sauce, and it’s a beautiful thing! But, who’s kidding who? It’s all about that crunchy skin, baby! Just be careful biting down on it. Those w/o strong chompers may chip a tooth, know what I’m sayin? Dishes are a la carte & do not come with rice. Also, there are currently no lunch specials to be had. All the Goldilocks favorites are here, such as bagoong fried rice, calamari & their sizzling sisig. Service was okay. It seems the staff is still oiling out all the kinks. The wait wasn’t horrible, but not quick, either. Plenty of table seating on the left side of the restaurant, the right being dedicated to the bakery goods. Parking is at the Seafood City shopping plaza, which can get quite busy during the weekend. Like bumping into an old friend, Goldilocks is back & just the same as I remembered. I’m fortunate to have had a Goldilocks nearby all my life, from the location that was previously located on Pioneer Blvd, to it’s strategic move to South & Gridley. This Goldilocks has prime real estate in a plaza catering to the Filipino community, with Seafood City, Valerio’s, Jollibee & Eriel’s Café as neighbors. Come by for a authentic Filipino meal, then pick up some bread or other baked goods to take home. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

New Goldilocks, original owners. Nice traditional Filipino food. Clean and new restaurant, lots of space for dinning. The staff is nice and prompt, they are open for breakfast and you can pretty much order anything on the menu. Prices are reasonable. Food taste good. Would recommend and would return…
